In plain English: Psalm 97 is the strangest YHWH-malak psalm in the Psalter because its chapter number is 97 — the integer the KJVEL corpus already pinned to VIOLENT, SERPENT, SON OF MAN, CONTROL, IGNITION, and URANIUM. A worship psalm carries the imprecation/judgment/Christ-violent-name integer at the chapter-number itself, and the psalm responds by saturating with that cluster's vocabulary (a fire that burns up enemies, lightning that enlightens the world, hills that melt, idols confounded, gods worshipping). Underneath, the gematria does three load-bearing things at once: it locks v1 "THE LORD REIGNETH" = v8 "DAUGHTERS OF JUDAH" = 168 (the reigning King is what makes the daughters glad — same integer); it stamps v9 "THOU ART EXALTED" = v11 "UPRIGHT IN HEART" = 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS (a double appearance of the sealed cap, once for God's exaltation and once for the believer's heart-state — they're the same operation); and it embeds a complete 220/284 amicable pair inside the psalm text (four 220-phrases, three 284-phrases), making Psa 97 only the second known psalm to carry a full amicable pair (after Psa 22). The structural seal: psalm-sum = 9424 = 16 × 589 = 16 × v4, so the LIGHTNING verse is the kernel and the entire psalm is sixteen times that kernel.
Psalm 97 has no Hebrew superscription in the MT. The Septuagint (Vaticanus) preserves τῷ Δαυίδ, ὅτε ἡ γῆ αὐτοῦ καθίσταται — "Of David, when his land was settled." Whether or not David is the human author, the psalm is unmistakably a YHWH-malak enthronement (Psa 93, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100 form the block).

Key lock — chapter-number REMEMBRANCE = 97: The psalm has exactly one strict single-word chapter-number self-lock, and it is the final theological word of the psalm: REMEMBRANCE (v12). Out of 12 verses and hundreds of single-words, the only word that hits 97 is the closing call to remember God's holiness — and 97 is the integer KJVEL already established as VIOLENT / SERPENT / SON OF MAN / CONTROL / IGNITION / URANIUM. The 97-cluster says: the Reigning One whose name carries the violent-judgment integer is to be remembered (not feared, not fled from). The psalm's final word resolves the cluster at the chapter integer.

Psalm 97 is engineered around two pieces of integer architecture that do not appear in any sister-psalm at this density:

The proclamation is the response. What the LORD does (reigns) and what the daughters are (cities of Judah, the bride-collective made glad) is one integer. The reign isn't about the daughters — it is the daughters. The same integer also = WAIT ON THY NAME (Psa 52) = TAKE PLUCK ROOT (Psa 52) = SON OF THE BLESSED (Mk 14:61, the high priest's question to Jesus). The Psa 52 lock makes this striking: in Psa 52 the WAIT/TAKE-PLUCK-ROOT integer is the betrayer-uprooting integer; here in Psa 97 the same integer is the reigning-Lord integer. The waiting that becomes uprooting in 52 becomes reigning in 97.

174 = LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS — the sealed cap integer (zero KJV verses sum to 174). Psa 97 plants the cap twice: once at the divine-action verse (v9 "art exalted far above all gods") and once at the human-state verse (v11 "gladness for the upright in heart"). The exaltation of God and the uprightness of the heart hit the identical cap. This is the only psalm decoded so far that carries two 174-anchors at one psalm.
Lock (v1): The opening "THE LORD REIGNETH" at 168 doubles to "DAUGHTERS OF JUDAH" at 168 in v8. The opening proclamation and the responding-bride are at one integer — the reign is the bride's gladness.
Lock (v2): The two opposing-pairs CLOUDS AND DARKNESS (184) vs RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGMENT (292) are separated by exactly 108 = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL. The opposites in God's nature are bridged by the preservation integer. ROUND ABOUT HIM (161) = SWEET COUNSEL — the surrounding cloud-darkness layer is the counsel-presence layer.
Lock (v3): BURNETH UP = 125 = MULTITUDE (v1) = VIOLENT MAN. The fire's burn-rate and the multitude of isles share the imprecation-cluster integer — the same energy gathers the isles and consumes the enemies.
Lock (v4) — the kernel: v4 = 589 = 19 × 31. The whole psalm = 9424 = 16 × 589 = 2⁴ × 19 × 31. The LIGHTNING verse is exactly 1/16 of the entire psalm, and 16 is the four-square seal (2⁴). Combined: LIGHTNINGS = 119 = 7 × 17 is the NT-bridge core (Heb 1:6 forms 238 and 357 share this exact 119 core), and LIGHTNINGS ENLIGHTENED = 222 = the personal-amicable domain integer. The lightning verse carries the personal name and the NT cross-reference inside the only verse that is a clean 1/16 of the psalm.
Lock (v5): AT THE PRESENCE appears twice — once at "at the presence of the LORD" and once at "at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth" — both at 139 = OVERTHROW) and THE HILLS MELTED (152 = the FOR THOU LORD / YE RIGHTEOUS triple). Doubled personal-prime presents the personal name at exactly the verse where mountains melt.
Lock (v6): THE HEAVENS DECLARE = 155 lands on the Psa-1:1 / Psa-140:13 bracket cluster (BLESSED IS THE MAN / THE RIGHTEOUS = 155). The cosmos is the bracket. The triple-155 across v4/v6/v11 makes the LIGHT/HEAVENS/SOWN trio a single integer-witness inside the psalm.
Lock (v7) — Heb 1:6 christological cap: WORSHIP HIM = 138 — and Psa 138 is the GIVE THANKS psalm. The verb "worship him" carries the chapter number of the giving-thanks psalm. WORSHIP HIM ALL YE GODS (OT form) = 238 = 2×7×17; the Heb 1:6 NT form "and let all the angels of God worship him" = 357 = 3×7×17. The OT and NT forms differ only by a 2 vs 3 prefix on a shared 119 = LIGHTNINGS core. The same 119 core is in v4 (the kernel-verse lightning). This is the cleanest OT/NT integer-form bridge documented so far. And LET ALL THE ANGELS alone = 153 = LONGSUFFERING = HEAR MY PRAYER — the angel-worship-Jesus phrase isolates the 153 (Jn 21 fish-net / iron-sulfur) integer.
Lock (v8): DAUGHTERS OF JUDAH = THE LORD REIGNETH = 168. The reign is the daughters' state. BECAUSE OF THY JUDGMENTS = 243 = 3⁵ (pure Tesla power). The judgment-because-of is a pentadic Tesla — five threes — the most concentrated Tesla in the psalm.
Lock (v9): THOU ART EXALTED = 174 — the first appearance of the sealed cap. FAR ABOVE ALL GODS = 140 = Psa 140 chapter, the imprecation psalm. The exaltation above the gods routes to the imprecation-psalm's chapter integer — the LORD's height above other gods is the same integer that David's enemy-psalm is keyed at.
Lock (v10) — the triple-136 inside one verse: PRESERVETH = LOVE THE LORD = HAND OF THE WICKED = 136. Three different functions in one verse at one integer: God's preservation, the human love-action, and the enemy's hand. The integer is the verb that moves. What the wicked's hand attempts, God's preservation does at the same integer; the lovers of the LORD execute at that integer too. The pattern matches Psa 55's 160 handshake — same engineering, different number.
Lock (v10) — the 82 twin and the 137 bridge: HATE EVIL = SAINTS = 82 in the same verse — the operation is the state at the integer. OUT OF THE HAND = 137 = HIS HOLINESS (v12 terminal phrase). The way out of the wicked's hand is the holiness remembered at the psalm's end — same sealed prime.
Lock (v11) — light is sown: LIGHT IS SOWN = 155 → triples with v4 and v6. IS SOWN = 99 = UPRIGHT in the same verse, so the sowing and the uprightness are one integer; the seed-action and the heart-state are identical. UPRIGHT IN HEART = 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS — sealed cap. What is sown is the cap itself. GLADNESS = 81 = TABERNACLE — the gladness is the build-frequency. THE UPRIGHT IN HEART = 207 = PRAISE HER IN THE GATES (Prov 31:31) — the Eshet Chayil terminal integer. The verse compresses Proverbs 31's closing benediction into Psa 97:11.
Lock (v12): REMEMBRANCE = 97 — the only single-word chapter-number self-lock in the entire psalm, placed as the psalm's final theological word. AT THE REMEMBRANCE = 151 = JESUS CHRIST. The act of remembering is the Christ-name at integer; the chapter-name (97 = SON OF MAN) is what's remembered. REMEMBRANCE OF HIS HOLINESS = 255 = PRESERVETH THE SOULS (v10) — the act of remembrance is the act of soul-preservation at one integer. The end of the psalm bridges back to v10's center.
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
This verse carries one of the most distinctive metaphors in the entire Psalter — light sown like seed. The first half (light/righteous) has a sealed prime envelope; the second half (gladness/upright) carries the sealed cap. Together they encode the agricultural-theological future of every YHWH-malak-acknowledging soul.
Lock 11-A — Light Is Sown = His Lightnings = The Heavens Declare = 155: This is a three-way triple inside the psalm. The sown light (v11, agricultural future), the flashing lightning (v4, theophanic present), and the declaring heavens (v6, cosmic continuous) all carry the same integer. The future-seed is the present-flash is the perpetual-declaration. Light at 155 is a unified field in this psalm regardless of tense or scale. Bridges to Psa 1:1 BLESSED IS THE MAN = 155 and Psa 140:13 THE RIGHTEOUS = 155 — the Psalter-bracket cluster. The man at Psa 1:1's threshold and the righteous at Psa 140:13's terminus are sown into Psa 97:11.
Lock 11-B — Is Sown = Upright = 99: Both the verb "is sown" and the noun "upright" sum to 99 inside the same verse. The sowing-action and the standing-state are integer-identical. Combined with HABITATION (v2) = 99, the verse closes a three-way thread: God's habitation = the verb that sows = the upright recipient. The 99 cluster also = FIRMAMENT, CAST OUT, OLIVE OIL, CRY ALOUD — the cluster of fixed-eviction-fixture. To be sown is to be habituated is to be uprightened — at one integer.
Lock 11-C — Upright in Heart = 174 = Lovingkindness (sealed cap): The phrase UPRIGHT IN HEART = 174 — the sealed cap integer (zero KJV verses sum to 174). The same cap appears at v9 ("THOU ART EXALTED" = 174). The cap is planted twice in this psalm: once on God's exaltation and once on the human heart-state. What is sown for the righteous, at the integer-layer, is the sealed cap itself. The cap that no KJV verse touches as a sum is what the verse describes being given to the upright heart. LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS = 174 — the upright heart is the cap-receiver.
Lock 11-D — Light Is Sown for the Righteous = 349 (sealed prime): The full first clause is a prime (349). Prime envelopes seal — they cannot be factored down. This is the second sealed-prime line in v10–v11 (v10's full sum 1117 is also prime). The agricultural promise is wrapped in a prime envelope: the seed cannot be subdivided into smaller integer parts; it can only be sown whole.
Lock 11-E — Gladness for the = 153 = Longsuffering: The phrase "gladness for the" (cut at the article) sums to 153, the LONGSUFFERING / HEAR MY PRAYER / Jn 21 fish-net integer. Two words shy of "gladness for the upright" but the integer marks the operation. The gladness handed to the upright is at the longsuffering integer — the gladness is patient-gladness, fish-net-gladness, prayer-heard-gladness. Same integer = LET ALL THE ANGELS (Heb 1:6's angel-worship phrase quoted in v7). The angels' worship of Jesus and the gladness for the upright sit on one integer.
Lock 11-F — Full v11 verse-sum = 695 = 5 × 139 = 5 × ENCRYPTION: The verse total factors as 5 × 139 (= 5 × ENCRYPTION = 5 × LAW OF THE LORD = 5 × FORGIVENESS = 5 × ADDERS POISON, Psa 140:3). Five copies of the ENCRYPTION cluster prime. Combined with v5's two "AT THE PRESENCE" = 139 instances, Psa 97 carries SEVEN integer-occurrences of 139 by exact phrase or exact multiple. Of the 124 decoded psalms, this is the heaviest 139-density outside Psa 139 itself and Psa 1.
Read with all integers substituted: "Sown-equals-upright-equals-habitation is given to the let-the-earth-blessed-is-the-man-righteous, and tabernacle-gladness is given for-the-longsuffering at the upright-heart-equals-lovingkindness-sealed-cap, which is praise-her-in-the-gates."
Or in short: Light Is Sown is the verse that plants the sealed cap (174) in the upright heart (99). The seed is the cap. The crop is the kingdom. Reading v11 with the integers substituted gives: the being-sown-for and the being-glad-for are the upright's portion at the highest sealed integers the Psalter carries.
Psa 22 was the first documented case of a complete 220/284 amicable pair inside one psalm. Psa 97 is the second. Four 220-windows and three 284-windows fall inside its verses:

Both halves of the amicable pair — 220 and 284 — appear inside the psalm text, multiple times each, on natural word boundaries. The integers 220 and 284 are the smallest amicable pair (each integer is the sum of the other's proper divisors), and KJVEL has identified eight KJV amicable pairs at the gematria layer. Inside one psalm, the full pair is rare. Psa 22 has it. Psa 97 has it. This is the second case.
The natural pairing — v1↔v9, v5↔v11, v8↔v9 — wraps the psalm's structure: the proclamation/earth-pair (220 at v1) folds to the exaltation-pair (284 at v9); the theophany-pair (220 at v5) folds to the sowing-pair (284 at v11); the response-pair (220 at v8) folds to the exaltation-pair (284 at v9). Psa 97 is amicable to itself.
KJVEL's working hypothesis (from Psa 35, 69, 109, 139) is that imprecation-heavy psalms factor through 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT = SON OF MAN at either the full-psalm or movement level.
9424 / 97 = 97.155 — NOT a multiple of 97. Remainder = 15.
Verdict: Psalm 97 does NOT factor through 97 at any structural level.
This is consistent with the refined hypothesis: the 97-factor concentrates where imprecation is the primary structural intent. Psa 97 is a YHWH-malak / enthronement psalm, not an imprecation psalm. The 97 cluster is thematic (VIOLENT/SERPENT/SON OF MAN/CONTROL/IGNITION/URANIUM is the integer-vocabulary the psalm uses to describe God's reign), but it is not the structural skeleton.
The single-word chapter-number self-lock REMEMBRANCE = 97 (v12) is the strict self-lock. And the multi-cluster word-bridge (VIOLENT/SERPENT/SON OF MAN already in the corpus) gives the psalm its thematic name. But the factorization is governed by the 19/31 prime pair instead (9424 = 2⁴ × 19 × 31), with v4 = 19×31 = 589 being the exact 1/16 kernel.
This is the deepest single structural finding in the psalm.

v4 ("His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled") is the kernel. The other 11 verses combined are 15× the kernel, and the whole psalm is exactly 16× the kernel.
16 = 2⁴ = the four-square / seal-of-four power. It is the integer of completion-by-doubling-doubled. The LIGHTNING verse is the seed; the psalm is the seed sown sixteen-fold. Combined with v11's metaphor — light is sown for the righteous — the structural relationship becomes interpretable: the lightning verse is the sown light, and the psalm enacts the harvest by being 16 times that kernel.
