In plain English: The Bible's most-praised woman is not in Acts — she's in Proverbs 31. But Proverbs 31 doesn't name her; it specifies a role. This document follows that specification straight through to the New Testament's purest implementation: a purple-merchant named Lydia from a city called Thyatira, who became Christianity's first European convert (Acts 16). Her full name — LYDIA OF THYATIRA = 174 — locks onto LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER, the sealed cap-frequency from the humming protocol that no KJV verse ever sums to. She runs every clause of Proverbs 31 in compressed historical form, AND — the larger find of this decode — she is the arithmetic redemption of her own city, because Revelation 2 names a "Jezebel of Thyatira" as the worst thing happening in the seven churches. Lydia and Jezebel are Thyatira's two daughters; one is the cap of mercy, the other is the cap of seduction. The chapter and the city resolve through her name.

Zero KJV verses sum to 174. It is the cap-frequency that the corpus holds in reserve — present as a building-block (87 word-occurrences across 8 distinct words) but never assembled into a finished verse. "the frequency where systems stop and mercy begins."
The only person in scripture whose city-of-origin name lands exactly on this sealed cap is Lydia of Thyatira. The chapter that praises the virtuous woman ends (v30) with FEARETH THE LORD = 145; the historical implementation of that woman ends at 174 — the next mercy-cap above Montgomery, the cap so high the Bible refuses to spell it out in a verse. She is the sentence that the Bible declined to write.

Three direct words from Proverbs 31 sit on her name. The fourth lock — WAVE — turns out to be the ritual portion she occupies (the priest's share of the peace offering is the BREAST = 84, presented as a wave at 51). She is priced at 51, she strengthens at 51, she clothes at 51, she waves at 51.
The TLS lock is new and central to §9 below: the Transport Layer Security handshake (the modern protocol that wraps every secure web connection) sits at the same number as her name. The first European convert and the world's most-deployed cryptographic handshake share gematria.

Lydia is one of the city's two named daughters in the NT canon (the other is unnamed — "that woman Jezebel" — see §5). Two daughters × 51 (Lydia) = 102 = THYATIRA. The city's gematria is exactly two Lydias. And one Lydia plus one Jezebel-of-Thyatira (188) does NOT equal the city. The chapter closes only when both daughters are Lydias.
Thyatira is also one of the seven churches of Revelation (Rev 2:18-29). The city carries an internal civil war: the dye-and-trade hub that produced both the chapter's most gracious convert AND its most condemned heresy.

But notice: the man of Macedonia who appeared in the vision never actually shows up. The first person Paul meets after crossing is a woman. OPENED THE HEART = 144. This is the cleanest discovery in §3. The act described in Acts 16:14 — "whose heart the Lord opened" — gematria-sums (in the alternate construction OPENED THE HEART) to 144, which from the original Prov 31 decode = FAR ABOVE RUBIES. The verb of Acts 16:14 is the chapter's price. The Lord paid the rubies-price in the act of opening her heart.
SELLER OF PURPLE = THAT WOMAN JEZEBEL = 180 (DR = 9). This is the head-on collision lock. The same gematria 180 carries Lydia's trade and Jezebel's title. The two Thyatiran women share the number 180 at exactly the verbs that name them. The number itself does not change. What changes is the container. (Compare HUSBAND = WHORE = 69 from intimacy_protocol.md.) Lydia at 180 sells the imperial dye and worships the Lord. Jezebel at 180 sells her body and worships herself. 180 is the trade frequency; the choice is which good to sell.

Lydia's "constraint" of Paul (forced hospitality) is gematrically identical to "her children arise up." She did not have biological children in the text — but she constrained the apostles, and in doing so she bore them. CONSTRAIN = BEAR. 162 says it directly.

Eight of eleven Prov 31 verses have a direct gematric handle in Acts 16. No other NT woman's narrative implements that many.
This is the structural discovery of this decode. Both Thyatiran women named in scripture sit on the same trade-frequency (180), but they are oriented in opposite directions. Revelation 2 names a "Jezebel" of Thyatira and condemns her in the harshest language given to any of the seven churches. Acts 16 names Lydia of Thyatira and elevates her as the first European convert. The Bible's worst-rebuked woman and the Bible's first-Western-convert are from the same city.

The 180 collision. "Seller of purple" and "that woman Jezebel" both = 180. The chapter's accusation in Rev 2 (THAT WOMAN JEZEBEL) and the chapter's praise in Acts 16 (SELLER OF PURPLE) sit on the same number, in the same city. This is the inverse of the Prov 31 collision FAVOUR(83)/BEAUTY(74) vs FEARETH(63). Jezebel sells the surface (favour, beauty); Lydia sells the substance (covenant-priced cloth). Same trade-number. Different goods.
Lydia is given a proper name. Jezebel is given a typological name — "Jezebel" is the title of the Phoenician queen who corrupted Ahab's house (1 Kings 16-21), here applied as a label to a Thyatiran false-teacher. Christ in Rev 2:20 is re-using Jezebel as a category. The Acts-16 Lydia is a person; the Rev-2 Jezebel is a syndrome. The first European convert receives her name back (LYDIA, 51 = PRICE, the chapter-word). The Thyatiran false-prophetess loses hers (assigned a label, an instance of the Jezebel-class).
Rev 2:20 — "...that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants..."
WHICH CALLETH HERSELF A PROPHETESS = 327 = 3 × 109 (DR=3 ✓). PROPHETESS = 141 (T6 — the gematria of PURIFICATION!). The number that should be sacred is being appropriated. The Jezebel of Thyatira borrows the prophetess-frequency (141) but cannot land at 174 (LOVINGKINDNESS). She climbs to 188 and stops there.
Lydia by contrast does NOT call herself anything — the text calls her. A CERTAIN WOMAN NAMED LYDIA = 225 = 15² (DR=9). The 15² lock is critical: 15 cubits is the height of the flood above the mountains (Gen 7:20) and 15 is the day of Passover. Lydia's name-introduction is the squared-flood-passover — the cosmic-cleansing frequency squared. The text names her with the exact gematria of universal ablution.
The reading: when Christ rebukes the Thyatiran church for "that woman Jezebel" in Rev 2:20, Acts 16 has already answered. The historical Lydia of Thyatira sits at 174 — the mercy-cap above the seduction-cap (188) — and her name carries one of the city's two Tesla-3 daughters back into the lattice. Christ isn't rebuking Thyatira because Thyatira can't be saved. Christ is rebuking Thyatira because the city's other daughter has already shown the city how to be saved, and Thyatira is choosing the wrong sister.
Lydia is the rebuttal to Jezebel of Thyatira from Jezebel's own city, written into the historical record before the rebuke is uttered.
The prophecy-of-rebuke in Rev 2 is grounded — it has a real-world counterexample. Christ can fairly judge the church-at-Thyatira for tolerating a Jezebel because the church-at-Thyatira also produced a Lydia. The 174 outranks the 188.

She is at the riverside but has not yet been opened. PURPLE UNSOLD = 173. Off by one from 174 — the vendor before the sale. Her cap is held in reserve, like the seven thunders. The merchandise is good, but it has not yet been transacted into covenant. Pre-Acts 16:14, Lydia's purple is the sealed thunder.
Acts 16:9 — "Come over into Macedonia, and help us."
HELP US = 81 = TABERNACLE. This is the groan stage — the cosmos asking the apostle to cross the sea. The word "groan" doesn't appear in the text, but the function is identical: a request for mercy delivery, intercession across distance. Romans 8:26 will name this exact thing: "the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." The Macedonian man's plea is the uttered prefiguration of that unutterable groan. 174 → 1294 begins here.
Acts 16:15 — "And when she was baptized, and her household..."
The covenant-victim made living is the baptismal pattern itself. Baptism is the symbolic submersion-and-rising — the victim made alive. SHE WAS BAPTIZED AND HER HOUSEHOLD = 315 (DR=9 ✓). The full baptism-clause closes the 1328 stage in narrative form: a single woman becomes a household of living covenant-victims. The household is the multiplied-living count of the cap-frequency.
Acts 16:25 — "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God."
AND SANG PRAISES UNTO GOD = 243 = 3⁵. This is the Jubilee song — sung from inside the prison Lydia's purple-money helped fund the church around. The prisoners hear; the foundations shake; the jailer is converted; the church in Philippi is established. Stage 3 is reached. The four stages run in three weeks of one chapter. Lydia is the only NT character whose entire arc traces the full cap-sequence in scripture-time.

The TLS handshake has four messages: ClientHello, ServerHello, KeyExchange, Finished. Lydia's arc has four messages: vision (16:9), riverside encounter (16:13), heart opened (16:14), baptism + house-given (16:15). The protocol matches. The European church boots on a four-step cryptographic handshake with the seller of purple as the first authenticated endpoint.
She is, in computer terms, the point-of-sale terminal where the gospel installs itself onto a new continent's payment rail. PRICE (51), MERCHANDISE (99 = HER HOUSE), TLS (51) — three numbers, one transaction.
Recall: THYATIRA = 102 = 2 × 51 = 2 × LYDIA. The city's gematria is two Lydias. But the canonical story of Thyatira features two named (or named-by-class) women: Lydia and Jezebel. Their gematric sum is 51 + 65 = 116 = THYATIRAN (the demonym). The DEMONYM SUM = 116; the CITY = 102. The gap is 14 = DAVID = HAND. The gap between Thyatira's two daughters is the king's hand. Christ's ruling pen.
But Lydia + Lydia = 102 = the city itself. The implication: the redeemed Thyatira is the city populated entirely by Lydias. The judgment in Rev 2:23 ("I will kill her children with death") is the removal of the Jezebel half so that the city restores to its 2L identity.

The arithmetic prescribes the eschatology of the city: the Lord's promise to "give him the morning star" (Rev 2:28) goes to whoever completes the LYDIA + LYDIA equation — the one who makes the city's gematria match its name by purifying its second daughter back to the cap.

Christ's seven-fold "let him hear" attaches naturally to the only Thyatiran whose ear was historically known to have been opened — Lydia at Acts 16:14, "whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul."
