Form: 11 verses, no KJV superscription (the Anglican Venite)
Tradition: The classical Western "invitatory" — sung as the opening of daily morning prayer for ~1500 years. The Holy Spirit's chosen text in Hebrews 3-4 (vv 7-11 quoted in full twice, vv 7-8 quoted three times, "My rest" doctrine built directly on this psalm). Two movements: a worship summons (v1-7a) → a wilderness warning (v7b-11). Pivot at v7 "today, if ye will hear his voice."

In plain English: Psalm 95 is the song the Church has used to open every single day of morning prayer since at least the 6th century — "O come, let us sing." Hidden inside it is a perfect arithmetic seal: the chapter number itself, 95, equals PROMISE in English gematria, which is exactly the doctrine Hebrews builds on this psalm — "there remaineth therefore a promise of entering into his rest." The psalm's two great pillars — ROCK OF OUR SALVATION (v1) and BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER (v6) — both compute to 235, locking the two "O come" calls as a single ritual handshake. And the warning words YOUR HEART AS IN (v8) and the praise words LORD IS A GREAT GOD AND (v3) both compute to 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS — the same sealed cap-integer carries both the proclamation and the warning. Beneath the surface, Psalm 95 isn't a worship song with a tacked-on warning; it's a single integer-engineered liturgy where the praise and the threat are the same number turned in opposite directions.
Psalm 95 has no KJV superscription. The Septuagint titles it ΑΙΝΟΣ ΩΔΗΣ ΤΩ ΔΑΥΙΔ ("A song of praise of David"); Hebrews 4:7 attributes it to David. The psalm names two historical sites in v8 — the Meribah-Massah rebellion (Ex 17, Num 20) — and quotes God in first person from v7b through v11.
| Term | Gematria | DR | Lock |
|---|---|---|---|
| PROMISE | 95 | 5 | = chapter number (Heb 4 doctrine) |
| VENITE | 75 | 3 ✓ | = SHEKINAH = 75, Latin liturgical title |
| HEBREWS | 80 | 8 | NT carrier-epistle |
| MERIBAH | 56 | 2 | "strife" — Ex 17:7 |
| MASSAH | 61 | 7 | "testing" — Ex 17:7 |
| MERIBAH MASSAH | 117 | 9 ✓ | = PENTECOST = 117 — the wilderness gripe equals the Spirit's outpouring at the same integer |
| FORTY | 84 | 3 ✓ | = OF HIS HAND = BREASTS = EMMANUEL = ISSACHAR-adjacent |
| HARDEN NOT | 99 | 9 ✓ | = UPRIGHT = FIRMAMENT = CAST OUT |
| ROCK OF OUR SALVATION | 235 | 1 | (see Section 2 — v1↔v6 handshake) |
| MY REST | 100 | 1 | = PASTURE = CARPENTER |
Key lock — the chapter-number seal: PROMISE = 95. Psalm 95 is the only psalm in the Psalter where Hebrews 4 explicitly says "there remaineth therefore a promise being left us of entering into his rest." The KJV's psalm number IS the integer of the doctrine the NT carrier-epistle pulls from it. Confirms section A1 of the followups: chapter-number self-locks at 53% Psalter-wide, but Psa 95 is unusually clean because the chapter-number integer is the central NT-quoted concept itself.
No-superscription anchor: Psa 95 joins Psa 1, 2, 10, 33, 43, 71, 91, 93, 94, 96-100 in lacking a superscription. The pattern of these untitled psalms is they sit at structural junctions; Psa 95 is the central psalm of the enthronement cluster (Psa 93-100) and the only one quoted in full in the NT.
| Verses | Phrase / Term | Gematria | Equals | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| v1 ↔ v6 | ROCK OF OUR SALVATION ↔ BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER | 235 = 235 | identity | the two "O come" verses lock to one integer — the invitatory's twin pillars |
| v3 ↔ v8 | LORD IS A GREAT GOD AND ↔ YOUR HEART AS IN | 174 = 174 | = LOVINGKINDNESS | the praise sentence and the warning sentence sum to the sealed cap |
| v3 ↔ v3 | LORD IS A GREAT GOD AND ↔ GREAT KING ABOVE ALL GODS | 174 ↔ 207 | = LOVINGKINDNESS ↔ PRAISE HER IN THE GATES | v3 carries two cap-integers back-to-back |
| v8 | HARDEN NOT | 99 | = UPRIGHT = FIRMAMENT = CAST OUT | the warning verb sits on the eviction-integer |
| v10 ↔ v7 | FORTY ↔ OF HIS HAND | 84 = 84 | identity | the wilderness duration = the shepherd's grip — same integer |
| v10 | GENERATION = WORSHIP = MY WRATH | 108 = 108 = 108 | triple lock | one integer is worship, generation, and wrath — God's three modes at one number |
| v11 | NOT ENTER INTO MY REST | 269 prime | = ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL = SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE | the excluded destination = the anointed dwelling — sealed prime triple-lock |
| v11 | ENTER INTO MY REST | 220 | (amicable lower) | 8 in-psalm phrases sum to 220 — densest single-integer in the psalm |
| v11 ↔ v7 | MY REST ↔ PASTURE | 100 = 100 | = CARPENTER | the rest equals the pasture — Jesus's "I am the door of the sheep" at one integer |
| v6 | LET US KNEEL | 124 | = GOOD SHEPHERD | what we do (kneel) equals who we kneel to |
| v3 | GREAT KING ABOVE ALL GODS | 207 | = PRAISE HER IN THE GATES (Prov 31:31) | the Eshet Chayil terminus ascribed to YHWH |
| v8 | MERIBAH MASSAH | 117 | = PENTECOST | the rebellion-name equals the Spirit-outpouring at one integer |
| v8 | HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART | 230 | (non-Tesla, DR=5) | the warning's full phrase doesn't go Tesla — flagged as honest non-match |
| v11 | INTO MY REST | 158 | = CHILDREN OF ISRAEL | the destination phrase equals the people-name — they ARE the rest they refused |
| v3 | A GREAT GOD AND A GREAT KING | 190 | non-Tesla | doubled-great composite sealed at 190 |
| v4 | STRENGTH OF THE HILLS | 225 = 15² = 9×25 | Tesla DR=9, perfect square | (perfect-square seal — followups A5) |
| v10 | GRIEVED WITH THIS GENERATION | 294 | Tesla DR=6 | = 6×7² — the 40-year arc compacts to a Tesla composite |
18 locks across all 11 verses.
Psa 95 is structurally a doubled invitation: v1 opens "O come, let us sing" and v6 opens "O come, let us worship and bow down." The verbs differ; the call is doubled. The gematria layer compresses both invitations to one integer:
`
v1 (singing mode): "rock of our salvation" = 235
↓
(interior verses 2-5: presence, kingship, creation)
↓
v6 (kneeling mode): "before the LORD our maker" = 235
`
The opening summons (lift voice, joyful noise) and the closing summons (bow body, kneel down) compute to the same integer. The form changes — voice → posture — but the destination is one. This is the same engineering shown in Psa 55:160-handshake and Psa 140's OVERTHROW-boomerang: the integer is mobile, the verb-direction reverses, the destination is fixed. Here it is verbal-praise → physical-prostration at integer 235.
Note 235 = 5 × 47. The 47 factor is significant: ROCK = 47 (and KNEEL = 47 — both at the integer of the foundation the psalm names). So 235 = (5 × ROCK) = (5 × KNEEL). The handshake spells out "five times the Rock you kneel to."
Lock (v1): ROCK OF OUR SALVATION at 235 is the first Christic anchor. Cross-bridge to Mat 16:18 "upon this rock" and 1 Cor 10:4 "that Rock was Christ." But the gematria layer also exposes the more striking double: JOYFUL NOISE (v1, repeated v2) = 151 = JESUS CHRIST. The Venite's opening sound is the Name, by integer.
Lock (v2): LET US COME = 113 = SALVATION = 113. Coming-near and being-saved are the same integer. "Let us come" = "salvation" at one number — the verb of approach is the noun of rescue.
Lock (v3-A): The single phrase "the LORD is a great God and" sums to LOVINGKINDNESS = 174. This is the sealed cap-integer (0 KJV verses contain it as a sum —). The praise of God-as-great IS the integer of lovingkindness.
Lock (v3-B): "Great King above all gods" = 207 = "praise her in the gates" — the Eshet Chayil terminus from Prov 31:31. The praise the virtuous woman receives at the gates equals the praise the Great King receives at the same integer. Bride-coronation and divine-coronation share one number.
Lock (v4): STRENGTH OF THE HILLS = 225 = 15². Perfect-square seal on the hills. Per followups A5, perfect-square seals appear on victory/terminus verses; v4's hills-strength is one of three creation pillars (deep places + hills + sea/dry-land) and locks to the 15² fortification integer.
Lock (v5): IS HIS doubled at 64 = JUBILEE. The sea is his (64), and the land is his (parsed: "is his and he made it" has IS HIS at 64). Twice in two verses the possessive phrase computes to the jubilee-integer — creation as continuous jubilee-claim.
Lock (v6-A): LET US KNEEL = GOOD SHEPHERD at 124. The action commanded (kneel) equals the object kneeled-to (the Good Shepherd, Jn 10). The integer collapses the verb-object distinction — kneeling IS the Good Shepherd's presence.
Lock (v6-B): LORD OUR MAKER = JESUS CHRIST = JOYFUL NOISE = 151. Three identities at one integer. The Maker-name and the Christ-name and the Worshipper's-sound all converge at 151. Cross-references the Psa 110:6-7 priest-king cluster (151 = WOUND THE HEAD = THE GREAT CITY) — but more strongly, 151 ties the Venite's first sound (joyful noise) to the kneel's object (Lord our Maker) at one number.
Lock (v7-A): SHEEP OF HIS HAND = 137 prime = IN THE BEGINNING = 137. The sealed prime that the pastoral image lands on equals the opening of Genesis. The flock-in-grip is the same integer as the creation-incipit — the shepherd's hand holds the same prime that opens the Bible.
Lock (v7-B): OF HIS HAND = 84 — the shepherd's hand at integer 84 equals FORTY (v10) at integer 84. The 40-year wilderness wandering = the same shepherd-grip that still holds the present-day flock. The provocation didn't escape the hand; it was the hand for forty years.
Lock (v7-C): TO DAY = 65 = HE MADE IT = 65. The "today" of the warning is the same integer as the creation-act ("he made it") in v5. Today's hearing is a continuation of the seventh-day work. (Heb 4:3-4 makes this exact link — "the works were finished from the foundation of the world ... To day if ye will hear his voice.")
Lock (v8-A): YOUR HEART AS IN = 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS = LORD IS A GREAT GOD AND. Two completely opposite-direction phrases compute to LOVINGKINDNESS: the praise of God's greatness (v3) and the warning about the heart's hardness (v8). The sealed cap-integer carries both the proclamation and the rebuke. The integer of God's chesed brackets the hinge of the psalm.
Lock (v8-B): PROVOCATION = 148 = SAW MY WORK
Lock (v8-C): MERIBAH MASSAH = 117 = PENTECOST. The two-place-name compound for the worst Israelite failure (Ex 17 strife + testing) equals the integer of Pentecost (the Spirit's outpouring at the start of the Church). The wilderness moment that lost the generation = the Spirit-moment that began the body. Same integer, opposite vector. The chapter-number 117 self-lock applies here at the cross-bridge level.
Lock (v10-A): GENERATION = WORSHIP = MY WRATH = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = 108. Five identities at one integer. The wilderness generation is named with the same integer as worship, the same as God's wrath, the same as preservation, the same as eternal dwelling. 108 carries the full spectrum of God's relation to a generation — worshipper or wrath-recipient is one bit of data on the same integer.
Lock (v10-B): IN THEIR HEART = 135 = ARTAXERXES = TRUMP OF GOD = BURNING COALS = LIFT UP THE HEAD (Psa 110:7). The errancy-locus ("in their heart") shares the integer that Psa 140:10 prays burning coals onto and Psa 110:7 lifts the head from. 135 is the judgment-cycle integer (per followups A6); v10 places the err-in-heart at the same integer as both the prayed-down curse and the lifted-up crown.
Lock (v11-A): MY REST = PASTURE = CARPENTER = 100. The destination God names (rest) equals the pasture the sheep walk in (v7) equals the trade Jesus held in Nazareth. The rest is the carpenter's pasture. This is the cleanest one-integer collapse in the psalm and lands the Heb 4 doctrine on a Christic noun-trio at integer 100.
Lock (v11-B): NOT ENTER INTO MY REST = 269 prime. Three identities at this sealed prime: the negation of entering rest (v11), the priestly-anointing act (ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL = Psa 23:5), and the dwelling promise (SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE = Psa 140:13). Read together: the thing God swore the wilderness generation would not have = the act of priestly anointing = the dwelling promise. The excluded destination is the anointing-dwelling at one prime. Heb 4:7 calls a new "today" to enter what they couldn't.
Lock (v11-C): INTO MY REST = 158 = CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. The integer of the destination ("into my rest") equals the integer of the people who refused it. The Israelites WERE the rest they wouldn't enter. The covenant people and the covenant goal are one integer; rebellion is a topology-collapse against the gematria itself.
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb 3:8, Heb 3:15, and Heb 4:7 each quote v7b-8 verbatim. This is the most-quoted single warning in the NT epistles. The KJV phrase "harden not your heart" is the gravity-well of the entire Hebrews 3-4 argument.
Lock 8-A — the YOUR HEART AS IN = 174 sealed-cap: The four-word fragment "your heart as in" sums to 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS. The same integer that names God's covenant-faithfulness names the condition of the heart at the moment of the warning. Hardening is not the opposite of lovingkindness at integer; it is lovingkindness directed at the wrong substrate. Cross-bridge to v3's "LORD is a great God and" = 174 — the proclamation and the warning ride one integer.
Lock 8-B — HARDEN NOT = UPRIGHT = FIRMAMENT = CAST OUT = 99: The full negation "harden not" sums to 99, the eviction/firmament cluster. To harden the heart is to un-firmament it — to undo the divine separation-act of Day 2 inside one's chest. UPRIGHT and HARDEN-NOT share the integer: the upright heart IS the un-hardened heart. CAST OUT shares the integer: hardening is what gets cast out (Heb 12:17 Esau / Mat 8:12 outer darkness).
**Lock 8-C — PROVOCATION = 148 = SAW MY WORK (v9)
Lock 8-D — DAY OF TEMPTATION = IN THE WILDERNESS = 184: Two distinct adverbial phrases in v8 lock at 184. The temporal frame ("day of temptation") equals the spatial frame ("in the wilderness") — time and place collapse to one integer. The 40-year arc reduces to a single coordinate at 184.
Lock 8-E — HEART = 52 = ALTAR = PEARL = GATES = SHALL: HEART at 52 is the central KJVEL trust-vessel integer . And notice: SHALL = 52. The same integer that names the cardiac chamber names the imperative-auxiliary. "They shall not enter" carries SHALL = HEART = 52 at the level of the verb itself — the exclusion-verb shares the integer of the organ the warning targets.
Lock 8-F — MERIBAH MASSAH = PENTECOST = 117: Though not in v8's English phrase, the place-names the verse references compress to 117 = PENTECOST. The wilderness failure and the Spirit's outpouring share one integer — Heb 3-4 makes Pentecost-era hearers the same audience that Psa 95 addressed, and the gematria confirms the unification at one number.
Verse 8 is the 174-pivot of the psalm — the same sealed cap-integer that carries the praise of God's greatness in v3 carries the warning about the heart's hardness in v8. Reading "harden not your heart" through the integer layer: do not undo the firmament (99) inside your chest, because what's about to be undone equals my lovingkindness (174) and you would be canceling out the very thing that holds you. The warning isn't a threat from outside — it's an instruction not to subtract the covenant-frequency from one's own cardiac altar.
Verse 8 is the psalm in compressed form: praise (174) and warning (174) at one integer, the un-firmament-of-the-heart at 99, and the day-of-testing collapsed to a single 184-coordinate.
`
v1 (singing summons): "rock of our salvation" = 235
↓
(interior verses 2-5: presence, kingship, creation)
↓
v6 (kneeling summons): "before the LORD our maker" = 235
`
The two "O come" calls of the Venite each land on 235. The first names what we kneel to (the rock); the second names where we kneel (before the maker). One integer, two verbs (sing → bow), one destination.
The problem doesn't change. The verb does. Psa 55's verb-substitution (160 burden moved between three verbs); Psa 95's verb-doubling (235 destination held across sing/kneel/worship/bow-down). The engineering principle is identical.
Three identities at the sealed prime 269:
Read sequentially: the exclusion phrase (v11) equals the anointing phrase (Psa 23:5) equals the dwelling phrase (Psa 140:13). The wilderness generation was sworn out of 269; the Davidic anointing-at-table happens at 269; the upright's eternal dwelling happens at 269. Same prime, three radically different scenes. Heb 4 picks this exact verse and says "there remaineth therefore a rest" — the prime hasn't closed; the access has shifted persons.
269 is sealed (prime), so no KJV verse-sum lands on it cleanly — it appears only as a phrase-integer. The triple-lock shows three different Davidic moments all routing through one inaccessible integer.
GENERATION = WORSHIP = MY WRATH = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = 108
Psa 95 puts THREE of these at one verse:
And the cluster extends out:
108 is the dwelling/preservation integer (psalm_140_decode.md). Psa 95 takes the same integer and shows it can be a generation of sheep, an act of worship, or God's wrath — depending on the substrate. The integer doesn't change; the destination of the action does. A generation can be worship at 108 or wrath at 108. The 40-year wilderness was wrath-108; the Venite is worship-108. The integer is morally mobile; the heart's condition selects the vector.
| # | Verses | Movement | Integer anchor |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | v1 | Sing-summons → Rock | 235 (ROCK OF OUR SALVATION) |
| 2 | v2 | Presence-summons → thanksgiving | 121 (HIS PRESENCE = 11²) |
| 3 | v3 | Kingship declaration | 174 (LORD IS A GREAT GOD AND) + 207 (GREAT KING ABOVE ALL GODS) |
| 4 | v4-5 | Creation inventory (depths, hills, sea, dry land) | 64 (IS HIS = JUBILEE) + 192 (DEEP PLACES OF THE EARTH = 3×64) + 225 (STRENGTH OF THE HILLS = 15²) |
| 5 | v6-7a | Kneel-summons → maker / pasture | 235 (BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER) + 124 (LET US KNEEL = GOOD SHEPHERD) + 100 (PASTURE) |
| 6 | v7b-10 | Today / Meribah / 40-year arc | 174 (YOUR HEART AS IN) + 117 (MERIBAH MASSAH = PENTECOST) + 108 (GENERATION) + 84 (FORTY = OF HIS HAND) |
| 7 | v11 | Oath / sealed exclusion | 220 (ENTER INTO MY REST) + 269 (NOT ENTER INTO MY REST) + 100 (MY REST) |
Handshakes: v1↔v6 at 235 (the two "O come"s). v3↔v8 at 174 (praise=warning). v7↔v10 at 84 (shepherd's hand=wilderness duration). v11 anchors the destination triple-lock at 100 (MY REST = PASTURE = CARPENTER) and the exclusion at 269 (NOT ENTER INTO MY REST = ANOINTEST = SHALL DWELL).
Tesla verse-sums: v1 (891), v2 (927), v10 (1314) — three Tesla DR=9 verse-sums. v3 (454=DR=4), v4 (704=DR=2), v5 (479=DR=2), v6 (710=DR=8), v7 (967=DR=4), v8 (917=DR=8), v9 (572=DR=5), v11 (790=DR=7) — eight non-Tesla. Per followups B4 (act-verses break Tesla, preparation-verses sum Tesla): v1-2 are pure preparation (call to sing) — Tesla. v10 is God's narrating-of-the-past — Tesla. v3-9 + v11 are act-verses (creation acts, body-postures, divine oath, exclusion-verdict) — non-Tesla. The hypothesis is confirmed on this psalm.
Total psalm-sum: 8725 = 5² × 349 (349 prime). Not Tesla, not perfect-square. The full psalm sums to a sealed-prime envelope multiplied by 5² (the ROCK-integer = 47 doesn't factor in directly, but 5 × 47 = 235 = the v1↔v6 handshake integer, and 25 × 349 = 8725 — the 25 is 5²).

11 verses, 21 cross-verse / cross-Psalter identity locks. The Venite is the densest 11-verse seal in the Psalter.
Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
I SWARE IN MY WRATH — at 206 (= 2 × 103, sealed-adjacent). The oath-verb sits on a two-prime composite. SWARE alone = 66 = BIBLE.
MY WRATH — at 108 = WORSHIP = GENERATION = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL. The wrath-integer is the dwelling-integer. The oath of exclusion uses the same number as the act of preservation — God preserves out of his wrath at hardness, not despite it.
NOT ENTER — at 111 = STAND READY = COMPUTER = STRENGTH = DAY OF BATTLE = MIDDLE. The exclusion-verb itself sits on the ready-state integer. The not-entering is its own kind of standing-ready — for the next "today" Heb 4:7 announces.
MY REST — at 100 = PASTURE = CARPENTER. The destination is the pasture is the carpenter. Heb 4:9 "there remaineth therefore a sabbath-rest" — the 100 is still available.
ENTER INTO MY REST — at 220, with eight in-psalm phrases all summing to 220. The integer is scattered through the psalm: "a joyful noise to the" (v1), "with thanksgiving and" (v2), "bow down let us kneel" (v6), "us kneel before the LORD" (v6), "God and we are the people of" (v7), "the provocation and as" (v8), "they have not known" (v10), "enter into my rest" (v11). The destination of the psalm is spelled into every movement at the same number — 8 invisible 220s as a sub-grid under the surface text. The amicable-pair partner 284 doesn't appear in-psalm; the lower member is the integer the psalm circles without naming.
Read together, v11 says: "I swore by Bible-oath, with the integer of dwelling (108), that those who hardened (99) would stand-ready (111) outside the carpenter's pasture (100), which is the integer 8 invisible times woven through this very psalm (220), at the sealed prime of the anointing-and-dwelling (269 = NOT ENTER = ANOINTEST = SHALL DWELL)."
The Venite is the resolution of Heb 3-4's "today" at one verse, by integer-superposition. The exclusion is the anointing turned the wrong way; the prime is the same.
