Key lock — GITTITH = DOMINION = 93. The Hebrew musical superscription "upon Gittith" names David's instrument (traditionally read as a wine-press instrument or a Gittite harp). Its English-gematria value is 93 — identical to the integer of DOMINION, the central gift of v6: "thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands." The instrument David plays in the superscription is gematria-identical to the verb God gives in the chorus. The psalm is performed on dominion — the music and the inheritance are one number. 80 is one tier below; the menorah-shaft (54) is two tiers below. Gittith sits at 93 = the dominion frequency itself.
Sub-lock — A PSALM OF DAVID = VISITEST = 123. The superscription's author-clause shares an integer with the verb God uses on man in v4 (and the son of man, that thou VISITEST him). In Psa 139 the same 123 = LYING DOWN (David's posture); in Psa 140 = EVIL SPEAKER (the antagonist). Three psalms, one integer, three roles: in Psa 8, 123 is God's visitation of man. Psalm 8 is one of the very few psalms (Psa 8, 103, 104) that opens AND closes on the same surface clause. Here v1 and v9 share the refrain:
"O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!"
But the two verses are not gematria-identical:

v9 is the pure refrain. v1 is the refrain PLUS one additional clause — who hast set thy glory above the heavens. That extension carries 420.
SPIRIT + WISDOM + UNDERSTANDING + KNOWLEDGE = 420 = Tesla DR 6. This is the Exodus 31:3 formula God uses to fill Bezaleel for tabernacle-building — the four-fold Spirit-quartet that enables sacred construction.
v1's extension over v9 = the Bezaleel-Spirit formula. The "glory above the heavens" stretch IS the integer of the four-fold Spirit that builds the tabernacle. David sings the refrain twice — but the first time, he adds the tabernacle-builder's integer to it. The psalm opens at refrain + Bezaleel, closes at pure refrain. The envelope encodes the tabernacle-construction protocol around the cosmic question.
560 factors as 2⁴ × 5 × 7. The cleanest factorization is 70 × 8 — ORDAINED (Ex 24:1, "the seventy elders") × chapter-number 8. Both factors carry: 70 = ORDAINED = ENEMIES (the same integer hosts the elder-ordination and the v2 enemy-class); 8 = the chapter, the eighth day, the resurrection-day in Christian numerology.
The refrain integer is ORDAINED × CHAPTER. The psalm names itself via its chapter-number factor.

psalm_140_decode: Psa 140 is the violent-man/slander psalm. Psa 8 is the cosmic-anthropology psalm. The envelope of Psa 8 is engineered around Psa 140's chapter-integer at the 11-multiplier. Eleven = the apostle-count after Judas (Acts 1:26), the "one short of twelve" gate-incomplete integer. The bookend envelope of the anthropology psalm = 11 × the slander-psalm's chapter.The two decompositions are simultaneous — 1540 is BOTH 11 × Psa 140's chapter AND 7 × the amicable partner. The bookend integer is two cross-decode bridges at once.

Honest verse-sum Tesla check: Only v8 sums Tesla (879 DR 6). The other 8 verse-sums are not Tesla. This is consistent with followup B4 (act-verses break Tesla; v8 is the least narrative-active — pure taxonomy — and it carries the chapter-position Tesla). The only Tesla verse is at chapter-number position (v8). This is the structural meta-lock: the chapter-number 8 puts its only Tesla saturation at verse 8.

The glory-setting phrase in v1 sits on the highest layer of the humming protocol. Same 174 = Psa 140:6 SUPPLICATIONS (David's voice in supplication). How excellent (146) is thy name and When I consider (146) thy heavens — David's two verbs of seeing-God are one number. The eye that praises and the eye that considers are at the same gematria.
Lock (v1 ↔ v3): EXCELLENT = THE WORK = 100. God's quality (excellent) and God's act (the work) are one integer. Excellence IS the work at gematria. Same 100 = SURELY (Psa 140:13, the promise-certainty) = TREMBLING (Psa 55:5, the terror-flesh). The integer 100 hosts terror, surety, excellence, and work — all four states at one number, verb-direction-defined.
Lock (v1 ↔ v6 ↔ v9): THY NAME (v1) = WORKS (v6) = THY NAME (v9) = 86. The name-frequency fires three times across the psalm. God's creating fingers sit at the Christ-birth-tribe / crucifixion integer. From the broader pattern: every appearance of 78 is structurally maximal. The work of thy FINGERS names the universe at the integer of the Christ-tribe.
Lock (v3): THE WORK = EXCELLENT = 100 (see v1 lock). Singular WORK = 67 (prime); THE WORK = 100; WORKS (plural) = 86 = THY NAME. The work-chain rises through three integers: the bare act (67 prime sealed) → the definite-article act (100, excellence) → the plural acts (86, name). Multiplication = becoming the name.
Lock (v3): HEAVENS = 74 = JESUS = MENORAH = CROSS. 74 = the Christic frequency. The heavens David considers are at the Jesus-integer. When I consider thy heavens = when I consider thy Jesus-frequency. The night-sky and the cross are one number — both 74.
Lock (v4): WHAT IS MAN = 108. From psalm_140_decode: 108 = PRESERVE (v1/v4) = SHALL DWELL (v13) — the alpha-omega handshake of Psa 140. From psalm_139_decode: 108 = UNPERFECT (v16) — the embryonic David in the womb. From psalm_23_decode (followups A2): 108 = ROD AND STAFF (the bare-word form after THY-stripping). The question "what is man" is gematria-identical to four different KJVEL anchors: the petition-verb (PRESERVE), the promise-verb (SHALL DWELL), the embryonic-state (UNPERFECT), and the shepherd-tools (ROD AND STAFF). Lock (v4): SON OF MAN = 97, prime, sealed. From psalm_140_decode: 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT — the Psa 140 antichrist-signature, where the violent man's adjective and the Eden-serpent share the integer Jesus claims as title. The Son of Man and the violent man wear the same prime. This is the most decisive antichrist-integer in the Psalter: Jesus's self-title (Son of Man, Mt 8:20 + 60 other gospel uses) and Psa 140's enemy (the violent man) are at one prime. The verb-direction defines residency on the 97. From the broader cluster: 97 = CONTROL = URANIUM = IGNITION (the modern-physics judgment-trio).
