The psalm is engineered around that one mobile integer. Key lock — the chapter number is the psalm. Psa 71 has no superscription. The chapter integer 71 must do the work a Davidic superscription would do. It does: 71 = AGAINST (v10 "speak against me") AND 71 = TO COME (v18 "every one that is to come"). The enemy-direction and the future-direction collide at the same prime, and the psalm's whole architecture is the verb-pivot from one reading to the other. The enemy is AGAINST. The future is TO COME. Same integer. The psalm's architecture moves the speaker from being-against-by-the-enemy at v10 to being-for-every-one-to-come at v18. The problem doesn't change. The verb-direction does.
This is the same engineering as psalm_140_decode (OVERTHROW used twice, attack/verdict) and psalm_55_decode (160 moved through three verbs). The integer that the enemy weaponizes in v10 is the integer God invests in the future generation in v18. The cap on the handshake comes at v18 verse-sum = 1511 (prime) — sealed.
Also note: v18 sub-phrase POWER TO EVERY ONE THAT IS TO COME = 369 (Tesla supreme, 3+6+9). The trans-generational handoff carries the maximum Tesla signature.
The opening three verses of Psa 71 are near-verbatim with Psa 31:1-3 — but the integer-pattern is not the same.
Psa 71 RE-WRITES the opening with substituted phrases: "let me never be ashamed" (Psa 31:1) → "let me never be put to confusion" (Psa 71:1); "speedily" gone; "house of defence" replaced by "strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort." The structural prayer is preserved; the language is denser, longer, and integer-different. Compare v3:

The old man asks for a dwelling-place at the firmament-integer — the same integer his enemies need to be CAST OUT at. HAST GIVEN COMMANDMENT = 220 = the amicable-pair anchor and v21's INCREASE MY GREATNESS. The commandment-to-save and the increase-of-greatness are the same integer.
Lock (v6) — the womb-extraction stack: Three back-to-back loaded integers. FROM THE WOMB = 138 bridges to chapter Psa 138. MOTHERS BOWELS = 174 is the sealed cap — LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER, the integer that occurs 0 times as a KJV verse-sum. But it occurs HERE, in the prepositional phrase describing where God pulled the speaker out from. God extracts the human from the integer that is the cap of chesed. TOOK ME OUT = 135 is the judgment-cycle integer — the same integer Psa 110:7 uses for the head being LIFTED UP. Extraction-from-womb and lifting-of-head share the integer. 174 closes the chesed family. The womb-line is the entry point of the chesed circuit; v23's redeemed-soul line will be the exit point.
Lock (v5) — the youth coronation: YOUTH = 89 is one of the densest integers in scripture. Psa 110:4 has SWORN, Psa 110:1 has RIGHT HAND (the coronation hand), and FOR EVER and YOUTH all = 89. AGAINST ME
Lock (v7-8): STRONG REFUGE at 155 bridges into the Psalter-bracket family — the same integer Psa 1:1 opens at and Psa 140:13 closes at. The speaker, wonderingly old and surrounded by enemies, asks for the Psalter-perimeter integer as his refuge. THY HONOUR at 144 is the bride-integer.
Lock (v9) — the most famous line: "CAST ME NOT OFF" sums to 137 (prime) — the fine-structure constant. The same prime that seals Psa 140:10's RISE NOT UP. The most-quoted clause of the psalm is sealed at the physics-prime. STRENGTH at 111 is the COMPUTER/STAND-READY integer; FAILETH sums to 61. The old man's strength-failure sits beside the stand-ready integer: the strength is failing, but the plea is answered from the stand-ready clock, not from death.
Lock (v10) — chapter A appears: "mine enemies speak AGAINST me" — AGAINST = 71 = chapter number. The whole enemy-block is anchored at the chapter integer.
Lock (v13) — judgment 214 boomerang: CONFOUNDED AND CONSUMED = 214 is the same integer as Psa 23:4's THY ROD AND THY STAFF and Psa 55:23's PIT OF DESTRUCTION. The shepherd's tools, the pit of destruction, and the enemies-confounded sentence are the same integer. The integer that comforts the sheep is the integer that consumes the wolves.
Lock (v13) — boomerang of REPROACH: REPROACH appears here ("covered with reproach") and the integer 145 also = SEEK MY HURT (v13 itself, end-phrase). The reproach the enemies seek to cover the speaker with sums to the same integer as their hurt-seeking. The cover IS the hurt.
Lock (v15) — the numbers thereof: "I know not the numbers thereof" — meta-statement. The speaker can't count God's salvations, but the KJVEL integer for that very phrase is 323. The cluster KNOW NOT THE NUMBERS = 237 matches Psa 22's piercing-clause at the integer. This decode is doing what the speaker said couldn't be done — counting the numbers — and the counting hits the cross-piercing prime.
Lock (v16) — the strength-handshake: GO IN THE STRENGTH = 189 = EVEN OF THINE ONLY. Both inside one verse, the same integer twice. This is the soul-handshake (= LIFT UP MY SOUL Psa 86:4 = DELIVERED MY SOUL Psa 86:13 = Psa 22:20). The old man goes in God's strength (189) referencing God's righteousness only (189). The handshake is self-contained. MAKE MENTION at 120 = CHIEF MUSICIAN — the speaker IS the chief musician at the integer.
Lock (v17) — the pedagogy prime: TAUGHT ME FROM MY YOUTH = 274 = 2 × 137. 137 is the fine-structure constant prime and the seal of Psa 140:10 RISE NOT UP. The pedagogy clause doubles the physics-prime. The speaker says God taught me from my youth and the gematria says: at twice the fine-structure-prime — the doubled fine-structure, two of the same sealing integer. Cross-link: Psa 140:10's "the burning coals shall not rise" seal-prime is the same integer halved. Pedagogy is the constructive form; non-rising-of-coals is the destructive form. Both at 137.
Lock (v18) — the chapter handshake closes: "every one that is TO COME" — TO COME = 71 = chapter number, second appearance. This is where the handshake completes. The verse-sum 1511 is prime (sealed envelope). POWER TO EVERY ONE THAT IS TO COME = 369 — the maximum Tesla signature. The line that says "shew thy strength to every generation that's coming" sums to 3+6+9. The promise to future generations IS the perfect Tesla.
Lock (v20) — the resurrection integer: DEPTHS = 72 = STILL = CARRIER = WINGS = MERCIES — the covering/flight integer. The depths carry the speaker; God brings him up from a carrier-integer. The resurrection isn't a violation of the depths; it's an extraction from inside the carrier the depths already are. EARTH = 52 = HEART = ALTAR. The depths-of-the-heart and the depths-of-the-altar are the same integer.

Lock (v22) — the harp counter-vector: WITH THE HARP = 136 = HAND OF THE WICKED (v4). The instrument of praise sums to the integer the wicked's hand carries. The verb-direction is reversed: the wicked's hand attacks; the harp answers. Same integer, opposite direction. This is the harp-as-counter-weapon mechanic.
Lock (v22) — Holy One identity-triangle: HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL = 179 = FROM MY YOUTH (v5, v17) = RIGHTEOUSNESS (single word). The Isaianic title for God, the temporal marker of the speaker's trust, and the attribute God displays — all at the same integer. The Holy One IS my-youth-trust IS righteousness, by gematria.
Lock (v22) — PSALTERY = CONFUSION = 116: The psaltery (musical instrument) sums to the same integer as CONFUSION — which v1 says God protects from. Playing the psaltery IS the protection-from-confusion. The instrument and the danger share the integer; the instrument cancels the danger by performing it.
Lock (v23) — the personal capstone: WHICH THOU HAST REDEEMED = 222
Lock (v23) — the longsuffering-rejoicing: GREATLY REJOICE = 153. 153 = LONGSUFFERING = MERCY (Psa 23) = HEAR MY PRAYER. The lips' great rejoicing sums to the longsuffering-integer. The endurance was the song.
Lock (v23) — WHEN I SING: Fourth appearance of 108 (after GENERATION v18, COMFORT ME v21, GREATNESS v21). The preservation/dwelling-cluster anchors the singing verb. The praise IS the preservation at integer.
Lock (v24) — tongue locks chief-musician: MY TONGUE = 120 = MAKE MENTION (v16) = CHIEF MUSICIAN = CALL UPON GOD = SOUL IN PEACE = HOLY × 2. The closing-verse organ-of-praise carries the full-circuit integer. The same integer the speaker named himself by in v16 (MAKE MENTION) is what his tongue is at v24.
Lock (v24) — confusion ring closes: v1 opens with NEVER BE PUT TO CONFUSION = 279 (DR=9 Tesla). v24 closes with THEY ARE CONFOUNDED = 183 (DR=3 Tesla). Both Tesla. The opening petition AND the closing fact are Tesla-sealed. The transfer: the speaker is not put to confusion (v1) because they are confounded (v24). The integer-pair (279/183) brackets the psalm in Tesla.
Lock (v24) — Eshet Chayil seal: BROUGHT UNTO SHAME = 207 = PRAISE HER IN THE GATES (Prov 31:31) = THE UPRIGHT IN HEART (Psa 64:10) = INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE / PRAISE HER IN THE GATES . The integer that closes Prov 31 closes Psa 71's last enemy-clause. The shame the enemies are brought to is, integer-wise, the praise in the gates. The judgment IS the praise-of-the-virtuous-woman at integer.
By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
This is the foundation verse of the psalm. Whatever the speaker has now, he had it from the womb. The verse breaks into three clauses (holden up / took out / praise continually), and each clause carries a different anchor integer.
Lock 6-A — twin 174 inside one verse: MOTHERS BOWELS = 174 AND BE CONTINUALLY OF = 174. The womb-extraction integer and the continual-praise integer are the same. The source of the human's life and the form of the human's praise share the sealed-cap integer LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER. 174 is the sealed cap — 0 KJV verses have it as a verse-sum. But verse 6 of Psa 71 has it as TWO sub-phrase sums. The womb is the cap. The praise is the cap. Same cap. The speaker's life and his prayer are the same sealed integer.

Lock 6-C — FROM THE WOMB = 138: Bridges to chapter Psa 138 (the Davidic confession psalm). From psalm_138_decode (referenced in followups): Psa 138:2 has WORD ABOVE NAME at the chapter integer. Now Psa 71:6 has FROM THE WOMB at the same chapter integer. The womb-origin of the human and the word-above-name share 138. The womb is the place where the word is established before the name is given.
Lock 6-D — MOTHERS = 98: Single word. 98 = VINEYARD = HARP+ORGAN = CRYSTAL = WHISPER = BEES+HONEY. The humming-protocol cluster. The mother is the humming-protocol body at integer. 98 is where mother-body and humming-body collide. The mother's bowels are made of the same integer the humming-resonance happens through.
Lock 6-E — THOU ART HE = 116 = PSALTERY (v22) = CONFUSION (v1): The pronoun-affirmation "thou art he that took me out" sums to the same integer as the instrument of praise AND the danger of v1. Three-way identity: God-the-extractor = the instrument-of-praise = the confusion-that-doesn't-happen. The 116-integer is the anti-confusion verb.
Lock 6-F — verse-sum DR=3 Tesla: v6 = 1272 = DR 3. The whole verse is Tesla. Out of 24 verses, only 8 are Tesla; v6 is one of them. The womb-foundation verse is sealed.
Verse 6 says: "At lovingkindness (174), you held me up — from the chapter-where-the-word-is-above-the-name (138). You — the extraction-verb (135) = the lifted-head — pulled me from my mother's lovingkindness (174 again). And my praise is at lovingkindness (174 thrice) of you, continually."
Verse 6 is the integer-spec for being born and breathing praise from the same cap.
108 = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = INHERITANCE is the largest integer-cluster in Psa 71. It appears at sixteen distinct positions (see Section 4 phrase-sweep results) — including the following anchors:
Sixteen 108-phrases across thirteen verses. No prior decoded psalm has hit this density on 108. The preservation/dwelling integer is the load-bearing column of Psa 71. The psalm is the preservation-spec. The speaker asks at v9 not to be cast off, and the integer that runs through every clause of the answer is the SHALL DWELL/PRESERVE integer. Psa 140's terminus is the same integer (THE RIGHTEOUS / THY NAME / SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE all flow through 108). Psa 71 doesn't end at 108; it runs on 108.

174 = LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS is sealed — 0 KJV verses sum to 174 . It cannot appear as a verse-sum. But it can appear as a sub-phrase sum, and in Psa 71 it does eleven times:
Eleven sub-phrases at 174. From the followups B1 hypothesis: "every major Davidic supplication psalm carries 174 at the same verse-position (v6 or thereabouts)." Psa 71 has it at v6 (mothers bowels, be continually of), v12, v14, v15 (three times), and v22. The sealed cap is integrated into every major movement of the psalm. The supplication-cap is so embedded that the entire psalm could be read as one extended 174-recitation.
The hypothesis is now confirmed for Psa 71: 174 appears at v6 (the womb foundation), v15 (the numbers-thereof statement), and v22 (the harp-and-psaltery praise). The sealed cap is the structural skeleton of supplication psalms.
