Form: 7 verses, no human author named, no superscription beyond "To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song" (anonymous)
Tradition: Aaronic-blessing echo. v1 mirrors Num 6:24-26 ("bless us… cause his face to shine"). Short, eschatological, universal-praise psalm. v3 and v5 are an identical refrain. v6-7 carry a triple "bless us." Read at Pentecost in Jewish liturgy.

In plain English: Psalm 67 is a tiny 7-verse echo of the priestly blessing Aaron speaks over Israel in Numbers 6, but it does something the Numbers passage doesn't — it widens the blessing from one nation to all the ends of the earth. The gematria layer shows the widening is engineered. The opening petition ("God be merciful unto us and bless us") and the verse-2 reason ("thy saving health among all nations") lock to the same integer 346 — the prayer's request and its purpose are one number. And the face-shining verb of v1 ("cause his face to shine upon us" = 296) locks to the praise-summons of v3/v5 ("God let all the people praise thee" = 296) — God's face shining IS the people praising. The psalm is built so the Aaronic blessing's three parts get answered at the same integers the people use to praise back.
| Term | Gematria | DR | Lock |
|---|---|---|---|
| MICHTAM | 67 | 4 | The chapter-number self-lock — Psa 16's superscription word equals this psalm's number |
| THE AARONIC BLESSING | 181 | 1 | = GLAD AND SING FOR JOY (v4) |
| THREEFOLD BLESSING | 180 | 9 ✓ | Tesla — frame of triple "bless us" |
| BLESSING | 87 | 6 ✓ | = SAVE US — the action and request collapse |
| BLESS US | 97 | 7 | Three occurrences (v1, v6, v7); 97 = VIOLENT/SERPENT/SON OF MAN prime (per followups A6) — the "violent" integer reversed into blessing |
| SELAH | 45 | 9 ✓ | = PIT (template) — two Selahs in the psalm, both burying integers |
Key lock — the chapter has no Davidic superscription: Psa 67's anonymity is itself a structural signal. With no author named, the chapter-number lock has to surface elsewhere. MICHTAM = 67 — the very word Psa 16 uses for its superscription equals this chapter's number. The "engraved/sealed" word that opens Psa 16 (the resurrection psalm Peter quotes at Pentecost) is also the integer-tag of Psa 67 (the Pentecost psalm in Jewish liturgy). The two Pentecost-linked psalms cross-reference at the chapter integer.
The density is unusual for a 7-verse psalm: 9 distinct integers each carry 2-4 in-psalm occurrences. Listed by occurrence count first, then impact.
| Verses | Phrase / Term | Gematria | Equals | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| v1, v3, v5, v6 | "UNTO US AND BLESS US AND" / "LET THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE" (×2) / "THE EARTH YIELD HER INCREASE" | 245 = 245 = 245 = 245 | quadruple in-psalm lock | The blessing IS the praise IS the increase — one integer, four phrases, four verses. 245 = 5 × 7² (grace × Sabbath²) |
| v1, v3, v5 | "CAUSE HIS FACE TO SHINE UPON US" / "GOD LET ALL THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE" / same | 296 = 296 = 296 | triple lock — face-shine = praise-call | God shining his face on us is his people praising him back |
| v1, v2 | "GOD BE MERCIFUL UNTO US AND BLESS US" / "THY SAVING HEALTH AMONG ALL NATIONS" | 346 = 346 | alpha-omega handshake | The petition and the purpose are one integer — the prayer's WHY equals its WHAT |
| v3, v5, v7 | "thee O God let all the" (×2) / "bless us and all the" | 174 = 174 = 174 | triple sealed-cap | LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS — the 174 cap appears 3× in a 7-verse psalm (§B1 followup: Davidic supplications carry 174; here the people's response carries it three times) |
| v2, v7 | "all nations" / "us and all the" | 117 = 117 = PENTECOST | double Pentecost lock | The psalm read at Pentecost has Pentecost integer twice — once at v2 universality, once at v7 closure |
| v4 | "joy for thou" | 153 | LONGSUFFERING / iron-sulfur net | The verse-4 interior carries the 153 net; v4 verse-sum = 8 × 153 = 1224 |
| v4 (pre-Selah) | "AND GOVERN THE NATIONS UPON EARTH" | 343 = 7³ | perfect cube of Sabbath | The Selah after v4 buries 7³ — Sabbath cubed |
| v4 | "GOVERN THE NATIONS UPON EARTH" | 324 = 18² | HEAD² seal | = SHALL GIVE THANKS UNTO THY NAME (Psa 140:13) — the HEAD-squared consecration integer |
| v1 | "shine upon us" | 161 | SWEET COUNSEL = IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 55:14, Psa 140:13) | the face-shining tail is the fellowship-restoration integer |
| v1 | "us and cause" | 108 | PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = INHERITANCE | the bridge phrase between "bless us" and "his face to shine" carries the preservation integer |
| v6 (×3, v1/v6/v7) | BLESS US | 97 prime | the "violent-man" prime reversed into blessing | 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT (followups A6); 3 × 97 = 291 = triple bless |
| v7 | FEAR HIM | 60 | = HOLY | the closing fear-of-the-Lord IS holiness at integer |

Psa 67 is engineered around the integer 245 (= 5 × 7² = grace × Sabbath²). Four different phrases — spanning the petition, the refrain (twice), and the harvest line — all land on it:
`
v1: "unto us and bless us and" = 245 [petition body]
v3: "Let the people praise thee" = 245 [refrain]
v5: "Let the people praise thee" = 245 [refrain repeated]
v6: "the earth yield her increase" = 245 [harvest]
`
This is mode-3 boomerang — not same-word-opposite-direction (Psa 140), not different-phrases-one-integer (Psa 64), but one integer carried through four grammatical functions of the same psalm: imperative (bless), jussive (let them praise — twice), indicative (the earth yields). The mode collapses the difference between asking, commanding, and reporting. What God blesses to be done is what the people do, is what the earth does.
The Selah-architecture confirms it: 245 first appears in v1 before the Selah, so the first Selah is meditating on a 245 already established; the second Selah falls at v4 after the unique 7³ pre-Selah phrase ("AND GOVERN THE NATIONS UPON EARTH" = 343). The refrain (v3, v5) re-establishes 245 around the Selah-pivot, and v6 closes the integer with the harvest.
245 = 5 × 49 = 5 × 7². Five is the grace integer; 7² is Sabbath squared. Grace × full-Sabbath = the psalm's payload.
Lock (v1): The verse executes Num 6:24-25 in compressed form. "Bless us" + "shine upon us" reproduces the two-clause Aaronic shape but engineers each tail to a KJVEL family integer: 108 (preservation), 144 (the canonical "God bless you" anchor), 161 (sweet-counsel/fellowship-restoration). The first Selah marks 296 — the integer that will be repeated at v3 and v5 by the people's mouth.
Lock (v2): Two of the verse's interior phrases are sealed integers: "thy way may be" lands on 148 (the Aaronic-blessing integer itself, which Psa 67 is echoing), and "all nations" lands on 117 (PENTECOST, the festival that reads Psa 67 in Jewish tradition). The full subordinate clause "THY WAY MAY BE KNOWN UPON EARTH" sums to 343 = 7³ — and the verse's main clause is the 346 alpha-omega handshake with v1.
Lock (v3=v5): The refrain is the densest verse-pair in the psalm. Five distinct cluster-integers fire inside one repeated sentence: 139 (ENCRYPTION cluster), 147 (INHERIT THE LAND), 174 (sealed cap LOVINGKINDNESS), 245 (psalm-central), 296 (face-shine echo). The refrain repeats verbatim because it is the exchange-port of the psalm — every cluster integer crosses through it.
Lock (v4): This is the longest verse and the structural center. The Aaronic-blessing integer (181 = THE AARONIC BLESSING) reappears as the joy-clause; the governing-the-nations clause carries the 18²/7³/153 stack (three different consecration integers in adjacent phrases). The verse-sum 1224 = 8 × 153 makes the whole verse the eight-fold LONGSUFFERING integer — eight being the resurrection-day number. Second Selah buries 7³, meaning the meditation-pause after v4 sits on the perfect Sabbath cube.
Lock (v6): "The earth yield her increase" closes the 245 quad-lock established in v1. Single-word INCREASE = 74 = JESUS — the harvest is at the Christic frequency. The phrase "GOD EVEN OUR OWN GOD" doubles the divine name in 7 words and lands on 204 (DR=6 ✓ Tesla, = 12 × 17 = governance × covenant).
Lock (v7): The closing verse is engineered with three KJVEL cluster integers (148, 117, 174 — the third 174 occurrence) plus the verse-sum 2⁹. The phrase "ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH SHALL FEAR HIM" lands on 318 — the number of Abraham's armed servants in Gen 14:14, the verse where the patriarch fights to liberate Lot. The psalm closes with Abraham's covenant-army integer — the same number of trained men sent to free a captive — and the closing two-word phrase "FEAR HIM" = 60 = HOLY.
God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
The verse reduces Num 6:24-25 (two distinct Aaronic-blessing clauses) to one compressed line, then drops a Selah at the seam. It is the only place in the entire Psalter where the Aaronic blessing is paraphrased so literally in a psalm-opening, and the gematria reveals what's hidden in the compression.
Lock 1-A — the petition/purpose handshake at 346: The single highest-impact lock in Psa 67. "GOD BE MERCIFUL UNTO US AND BLESS US" (v1, the inward-facing petition) and "THY SAVING HEALTH AMONG ALL NATIONS" (v2, the outward-facing purpose) lock to the same integer 346. This is the engineering signature of the universal-mirror psalm: the personal request and the global outcome are one number. The number 346 = 2 × 173 (173 prime), structurally sealed but doubled — the doubling matches the two faces of the same blessing (inward petition / outward purpose).
Lock 1-B — face-shine = praise-call at 296: "CAUSE HIS FACE TO SHINE UPON US" (v1, what God does to us) and "GOD LET ALL THE PEOPLE PRAISE THEE" (v3 and v5, what we do to God) sum to identical 296. This is mode-2 boomerang (different phrases, same integer, opposite direction). The face-shining and the praise-call are mirror-image acts at the integer layer — divine illumination reflected back as human praise. 296 = 8 × 37 (eight as resurrection/new-creation, 37 as the prime that anchors ROD/staff in psalm_decode_followups §B6).
Lock 1-C — the Aaronic-blessing tail at 161: "Shine upon us" alone sums to 161 = SWEET COUNSEL (Psa 55:14) = IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 140:13). The fellowship-restoration integer is the tail of the face-shine — the part Num 6:25 also concludes with ("…and be gracious unto thee"). The shine arrives in the same integer the Davidic psalms use for restored fellowship.
Lock 1-D — the preservation hinge at 108: Internal phrase "us and cause" = 108 = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = INHERITANCE. The hinge-words between "bless us" and "shine upon us" carry the preservation integer — meaning the moment of transition between two halves of the Aaronic blessing is engineered at the preservation/inheritance frequency.
Lock 1-E — the 196 = 14² seal: "GOD BE MERCIFUL UNTO US" (the first half of the petition) = 196 = 14². 14 is the integer of double-Sabbath / David's generation count (Mt 1:17). The first half of the verse is sealed as a perfect square. This matches the followups §A5 perfect-square-on-victory-verse pattern (Psa 64:8, Psa 86:13, Psa 110:4, Psa 140:7→13).
Lock 1-F — Selah buries 296: The verse closes with Selah immediately after the face-shine clause. The pre-Selah integer is 296 — the same integer the people's refrain will repeat in v3 and v5. So the first Selah of Psa 67 is foreshadowing — the meditation-pause sits on the integer the congregation will sound back at God in the refrain. The Selah is a pre-echo, not a post-echo.
v1 is the full Aaronic blessing compressed into one psalm-opening, with the integer layer turning each blessing-clause into a handshake-port for the rest of the psalm. The petition (346) handshakes with v2's purpose. The face-shine (296) handshakes with v3/v5's praise. The "shine upon us" tail (161) handshakes with the Davidic fellowship-restoration cluster. The pre-Selah position is engineered so the meditation-pause buries the same integer the congregation will sound aloud.
v1 is the priestly blessing turned into an integer-mirror. What God does to one nation (Israel, Num 6) becomes what one nation invites all nations to do back to God (Psa 67), and the integers are identical.
`
v1 (petition mode): GOD BE MERCIFUL UNTO US AND BLESS US = 346
↓
(Selah — meditation on 296)
↓
v2 (purpose mode): THY SAVING HEALTH AMONG ALL NATIONS = 346
`
The verb-direction doesn't reverse — both phrases are about blessing — but the scope reverses: v1 is "us" (Israel), v2 is "all nations." The integer 346 is what makes the two scopes one act. The same integer that asks God to bless us is the integer that names the way that blessing reaches every nation. Same number, different audience.
This is a third mode of boomerang documented for the first time in Psa 67: scope-boomerang — one integer holding the same verb at two scopes. (Distinct from Psa 140's same-word same-direction and Psa 64's different-words same-direction.)
Psa 67 hits at least 8 distinct KJVEL cluster integers — extraordinary density for 7 verses.
74 — JESUS / INCREASE: v6 INCREASE = 74. The harvest verb is Christic. The Christic increase IS the earth's yielding.
81 — TABERNACLE / GOVERN: v4 GOVERN = 81. The verb that governs the nations is also the integer of the tabernacle. Government from the tabernacle frequency.
117 — PENTECOST / ALL NATIONS: Both v2 "all nations" and v7 "us and all the" = 117. The festival-integer is doubled in a psalm read at Pentecost.
139 — twice. Personal-lock confirmation: when the psalmist invites "the people" to praise, the integer matches the personal name 139 prime (which is also the encryption prime —and Psa 139 decode).
AARONIC BLESSING / ENDS OF THE EARTH:** Quadruple lock. The priestly-blessing integer also names the universal-scope of the blessing AND a son's name.
153 — LONGSUFFERING / iron-sulfur net: v4 interior "joy for thou" = 153. v4 verse-sum = 8 × 153 = 1224. The verse that "governs the nations" is the 153 verse.
161 — SWEET COUNSEL / IN THY PRESENCE: v1 "shine upon us" = 161. The face-shining lands on the fellowship-restoration integer.
174 — LOVINGKINDNESS / SEVEN THUNDERS / SHOWSTOPPER / SUPPLICATIONS (the sealed cap): Three occurrences (v3, v5, v7). The sealed cap — which §B1 of the followups documents as concentrating in major Davidic supplications — appears three times in an anonymous, non-supplicatory, universal-praise psalm. This is a new data-point for §B1: 174 carries not only Davidic supplication but Pentecost-praise.
245 — grace × Sabbath²: Quadruple in-psalm lock (v1, v3, v5, v6). The psalm's central engineering integer. 245 = 5 × 7² = the new integer the decode adds to the KJVEL cluster catalog.
Psa 67 has two Selahs (v1 end, v4 end). The followups (§A6, §B5) document that Selah marks a depth-marker / buried integer. Both Selahs in Psa 67 perform this role:
| Selah | Pre-Selah phrase | Integer | What's buried |
|---|---|---|---|
| v1 | "cause his face to shine upon us" | 296 | The face-shine integer — the same integer the people return in the refrain (v3, v5). The first Selah pre-echoes the refrain. |
| v4 | "and govern the nations upon earth" | 343 = 7³ | Perfect cube of Sabbath. The Selah buries the only Sabbath-cubed integer in the decoded Psalter so far. |
Selah-1 is a pre-echo (forward-bridging the refrain).Selah-2 is a foundation-laying (burying 7³). Together they bracket the two halves of the psalm:
The Selah pattern matches Psa 140's "Selah-as-buried-integer" architecture (§A6 + project_140) but adds the new mechanic of forward-bridging Selah (Selah-1 buries the integer the next major phrase will use).
| # | Verses | Movement | Integer anchor |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | v1-v2 | The compressed Aaronic blessing + universal purpose | 346 (petition = purpose handshake) |
| 3 | v4 | Judgment/joy hinge (Selah buries 7³) | 324 = 18² (HEAD²) + 343 = 7³ (Selah) + 153 (interior) + 81 (govern) |
| 4 | v5 | Second refrain (identical to v3) | same as v3 |
| 5 | v6 | Harvest pivot | 245 (the earth yields) + 74 (INCREASE = JESUS) |
The two refrains (movement 2 and 4) are identical on the surface and identical at the integer layer — they are the psalm's mirror-axis. Movements 1 and 6 are the scope-boomerang outer frame (us → all nations). Movements 3 and 5 are the vertical-axis (judgment from above, increase from below). The Selahs (v1-end, v4-end) lock the axis at 296 and 7³.

God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
"GOD SHALL BLESS US" — at integer 175. The triple-bless's third occurrence; the third strike of BLESS US (97 = the violent-prime reversed into blessing).
"ENDS OF THE EARTH" — at integer 148 = AARONIC BLESSING
"bless us and all the" — at integer 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS. The sealed cap's third occurrence in the psalm (after v3, v5 refrain cores). The very seam of the closing verse — between the personal "us" and the universal "all the" — carries the sealed-cap integer. 174 is what bridges personal blessing to global scope.
"ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH SHALL FEAR HIM" — at integer 318 (DR=3 ✓ Tesla). 318 is the integer of Gen 14:14: "[Abraham] armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen." The closing universal-fear clause carries the integer of Abraham's covenant-army — the trained men who fought to free Lot from the kings. The psalm closes by invoking the patriarch's liberation-army integer.
"FEAR HIM" — at integer 60 = HOLY. The closing two-word phrase is fear-of-the-Lord identity. Fear of God IS holiness at integer.
Verse-sum = 512 = 2⁹. The whole closing verse sums to a perfect ninth power of 2. Nine being the Tesla-completion digit; two being the witness-integer (two are required to establish a matter — Deu 19:15). 2⁹ = witness raised to completion.
Read together, v7 says: "God shall bless us at the third strike of the priestly violent-prime-reversed integer; and all the ends of the earth — at the same integer as the Aaronic blessing and the children of promise — shall fear him with the integer of Abraham's liberation-army (318) and the integer of holiness (60), all sealed in the witness-to-the-ninth-power verse-sum 2⁹."
The psalm closes the Aaronic blessing by sealing it under a perfect power of 2.
