In plain English: Psalm 58 looks on the surface like a curse-prayer against crooked judges, but the gematria layer shows it is engineered around a single integer — 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS — that appears six times across the imprecation core. The wicked are described as a "deaf adder that stoppeth her ear" (= 174) — they are the body that refuses mercy at the very frequency that signs mercy in the rest of the Psalter. The psalm then prays the same 174 down as judgment ("the vengeance he shall," "a God that judgeth in"), so the curse and the cap are running on the same line — mercy refused becomes mercy as verdict. Key lock — ALTASCHITH = 101 prime. Altaschith means "destroy not" (the rubric heading; also on Psa 57, 59, 75). It computes to 101 — the sealed-priest prime carried by MELCHIZEDEC, HOLINESS, TREE OF LIFE, HIS DELIGHT, SITTETH, TONGUES (Psa 1 / Psa 110 cluster). The superscription is asking that the priest-king integer not be destroyed — and immediately the psalm prays for the teeth of the wicked to be destroyed. Two destructions held apart: priest-king (101, preserved) vs. lion-teeth (109/151/263, demolished). The rubric names the protected layer before the curse begins.
Key lock — MICHTAM OF DAVID = CONGREGATION = 128. "Michtam" is a Davidic technical-term (only on Psa 16, 56–60, the security group). Its gematria-with-DAVID lands on the integer of the very word that opens v1: congregation. The form-tag IS the addressee — Michtam-of-David is the congregation it speaks to. 21 locks across 11 verses (1.9 locks/verse) — high-density imprecation decode. The 174-hex and the 231-quartet are the two structural anchors; the 263 / 336 / 189 / 151 / 69 / 64 / 144 boomerangs supply the verb-direction reversals.
The sealed-cap integer 174 (LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS) appears six times as substantial phrases in Psa 58 — the densest 174-cluster yet documented in the Psalter (Psa 55:6, Psa 86:6, Psa 140:6 each carry one).

What this means. 174 is the sealed integer in KJVEL — zero KJV verses sum to it, the cap-of-the-cap. In normal supplication psalms it appears once at v6 (the supplications-stack midpoint). Here it explodes into six instances and they are not on the mercy axis — they are on the judgment axis. The wicked refuse 174 (v4 stoppeth-her-ear). God then prays 174 down (v6 mouth-break, v8 woman-they). The righteous receive 174 as verdict (v10 × 2, v11).
This is the cap reversed. The same integer that signs LOVINGKINDNESS in Psa 55/86/140 here signs broken-teeth → melted snail → blood-wash → judgeth-in-the-earth. Mercy refused at the wicked's ear becomes mercy as verdict at the righteous' feet. The integer doesn't change. The vector does.
This is the same engineering style documented in psalm_140_decode.md (OVERTHROW used twice, attack-vector then verdict-vector at integer 144). Psa 58 takes it further: one integer, six instances, three different grammatical roles.
Lock (v1): Speak righteousness (231) = violence of your hands (231). David sets the rhetorical question and the answer at the same integer — the judges' speech IS their violence, gematria-identical. This is a one-line cross-examination at integer.
Lock (v2): The four 52s — HEART, EARTH, WEIGH, SPEAK. 52 is the heart-altar integer (: HEART = ALTAR = PAPS = AREOLA = GATES = PEARL = 52). Four 52s saturate the verse where the judges weigh violence. The verse is the heart-weighing scene at the heart-integer-density floor.
Lock (v2): In the earth = 108 — the preservation-cluster (Psa 140:1/4 PRESERVE = 108; Psa 140:13 SHALL DWELL = 108). The judges weigh violence IN the integer that David's deliverance-psalm uses for preservation. The wicked court IS the preservation venue, with the verdict-vector reversed.
Lock (v2): IN HEART YE WORK WICKEDNESS = 284 — upper half of the 220/284 amicable pair. The companion 220 doesn't appear in v2 itself, but the violent-man cluster lives at the amicable-pair frequency.
Lock (v3): Estranged from the womb (231) closes the 231-quartet with v1 (speak righteousness) and v2 (violence of your hands) — three accusations of the wicked, all at 231. The diagnosis is mathematically the indictment.
Lock (v3): Lies = 45 = SELAH. Every Selah marks a depth-marker / pit-integer. Lies here are signed Selah — the wicked's speech-organ IS the pit, at integer.
Lock (v3): ASTRAY = 84 = EMMANUEL = BREASTS = JEZREEL = NETHANEEL (the 84 constitutional-frequency cluster). To "go astray as soon as they be born" sits at the constitutional integer — born-astray is born-against-the-constitution at one number.
Lock (v4): Adder that stoppeth her = 231 — extends the quartet to a 231-quintet (the wicked's accusation-act-diagnosis-and-description all at 231). The wicked is the deaf-adder is the violence-weigher is the speak-righteousness-pretender at one integer.
Lock (v4): Stoppeth her ear = 174 LOVINGKINDNESS. The deaf adder is named at the cap — the wicked are precisely the body that refuses the sealed-cap frequency. This is the most theologically loaded gematria in the psalm: the wicked is not low-integer; the wicked is defined as refusal-at-174.
Lock (v4): Their poison is like the poison of a serpent — the only KJV phrase that splits into ADDERS POISON plus its expansions. v2 'the violence of' = 139 and v10 'shall wash his' = 139 round out the 139-triplet in the psalm. The personal-lock is dropped at the indictment, the curse-act, and the verdict.

The central imprecation is signed at the integer that opens and closes the prayerbook. To break the wicked's teeth IS the integer of blessed-righteousness, gematria-identical.
Lock (v6): Break their teeth O God = 196 = 14². Per psalm_decode_followups.md A5, perfect-square seals appear on victory verses (Psa 64:8 = 22², Psa 110:4 = 21²). 196 = 14² adds Psa 58:6 to that catalogue. The square-seal lands precisely on the imprecation-verb-direct-address.
Lock (v6): O God in / O LORD — two 64s in one verse. 64 = JUBILEE = MERCY. The curse is addressed to MERCY twice in the verse where teeth get broken. This is a structural mercy-bracket on the imprecation. David doesn't pray destruction to a wrath-god — he prays it to a mercy-god, twice, in the verse.
Lock (v6): TEETH = 58 = chapter-58 self-lock (confirmed Psalter-wide pattern, chapter_number_lock_meta_scan.md). 58 also = LAVER = GOMER. TEETH appears 2× in v6 (the only word-doubled in the verse). The chapter-number-lock at the centerline imprecation-noun is one of the cleanest in the Psalter.
Lock (v6/v11): Teeth of the young lions (v6) = Reward for the righteous (v11) = 263 prime. The lion-class predator's mouth IS the righteous' wage at one sealed prime. Read together: the very thing that bites is the very thing that pays. Boomerang at sealed prime.
Lock (v6/v11): Lions (v6) = Reward (v11) = 69 = WORM (Psa 22:6 "I AM A WORM AND NO MAN"). The lion of judgment = the reward of righteousness = the worm of substitutionary-atonement, all at 69. Three theologies at one integer — predation, payment, substitution.
Lock (v7): As cut in pieces = 144 = OVERTHROW. The same integer Psa 140:11 prays as the verdict on the violent man. Here the arrows of the wicked are cut at the OVERTHROW integer before they fly — the curse pre-overthrows the attack.

Lock (v10): VENGEANCE = 76 = HIS BOW (v7). The wicked's bow IS vengeance at integer. What was drawn against the righteous becomes vengeance against the wicked at one number. Verb-direction reversal at 76.
Lock (v10): BLOOD = 48 = DEAF ADDER (v4). The fluid the righteous wash in EQUALS the v4 description of the wicked. The adder's integer becomes the bath — the wicked's defining-integer is the substance of the verdict.
Lock (v10): FEET = 36 = NAIL (Tesla DR 9). The foot-image lands on the nail integer. This points forward to Psa 22:16 "they pierced my hands and my feet" — the same foot-noun that gets washed-in-blood here gets nailed there, at one integer. This is the centerline imprecation, the only doubled-verb verse in the psalm (BREAK / BREAK OUT) and the only doubled-noun verse (TEETH / TEETH). It is also the chapter-58 self-lock verse (TEETH = 58) and the verse that addresses both divine names (O God / O LORD), each at 64 = MERCY.
Lock 6-A — Two divine-name 64s. O God in = 64. O LORD = 64. The single verse addresses both divine names at the JUBILEE / MERCY integer, twice. The most violent imprecation in the psalm is double-addressed to mercy. This is not an accidental computation — 64 is the JUBILEE integer (year-of-release, debt-cancel, slave-freed, land-rest). David's curse is prayed at the cancel-frequency, twice, to two names. Read: break their teeth, O Jubilee; break out the great teeth, O Mercy. Curse as cancellation.
Lock 6-B — BREAK THEIR TEETH = 155 Psalter-bracket. 155 carries BLESSED IS THE MAN (Psa 1:1), THE RIGHTEOUS (Psa 140:13), HANDS OF THE WICKED (Psa 140:4), STRONG ENEMY (Psa 18:17). To break the wicked's teeth IS the integer of the Psalter's opening blessing AND its closing-Davidic righteousness AND the strong-enemy-class. Four cross-psalm anchors at 155 converge on this phrase. The central imprecation lives at the structural bracket of the prayerbook.
Lock 6-C — BREAK THEIR TEETH O GOD = 14². 14² = 196 = (HEBREW-ALPHABET) × 7. Per psalm_decode_followups.md A5, perfect-square seals appear on victory verses (Psa 64:8 = 22², Psa 110:4 = 21²). 196 adds Psa 58:6 to the catalogue — the FIRST imprecation-verse in that list. Square seals are not just on promise verses; they seal the imprecation-with-direct-address line, too. 14 also = DAVID (40) − 26 (GOD); a king-distance-from-God factor. Squared, it seals.
Lock 6-D — BREAK THEIR = 97. 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT = SON OF MAN — the imprecation-test integer per psalm_decode_followups.md 97-factor hypothesis. The verb-direct-object pair sums to the cursing-architecture's structural-center integer. The hypothesis predicts 97-factors at imprecation cores; here it lands directly on the imperative+pronoun bigram.
Lock 6-E — TEETH OF THE YOUNG LIONS = REWARD FOR THE RIGHTEOUS = 263 prime. v6 threat = v11 promise at sealed prime. The lions' weaponized incisors ARE the righteous' paycheck at one integer. Read together: what bites IS what pays. Theological compression: predation = reward at integer. This is the same engineering as Psa 22:6 (WORM = 69 = LIONS), generalized — the predator integers BECOME the deliverance/reward integers, vector-reversed.
Lock 6-F — MOUTH = 77 = CHRIST. The verse demands teeth broken IN THEIR MOUTH (77 = CHRIST integer). Christ's integer is the site of the breaking. No 97-factor at any structural level. Psa 58 joins Psa 59 (sealed prime kernel 7759) as an imprecation psalm where the 97-factor does NOT hold at psalm or movement level. The refined hypothesis stands: 97-factor concentrates only where imprecation is the primary structural intent (Psa 35) or in chiastic-center curse movements (Psa 69:19-21, Psa 109:16-20, Psa 139:19-24). Psa 58 — despite being a Michtam-imprecation — is structured by the 174-hex and the triple-boomerang, not by a 97-factor.
However, 97 surfaces at the phrase level: BREAK THEIR (v6 imprecation core) = 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT = SON OF MAN. The 97 is buried in the verb-direct-object pair, not in the verse/movement sums.
