Psalm 4 — The Evening Lock-Up Decode =284

Decode date: 2026-05-18

Form: 8 verses, superscription "To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David"

Tradition: The evening companion of Psalm 3 (morning). Verse 4's "Stand in awe, and sin not" is quoted by Paul in Eph 4:26 as "Be ye angry, and sin not." Verse 6's "lift thou up the light of thy countenance" is the direct echo of the Aaronic blessing (Num 6:24–26). Verse 8's "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep" is the mirror of Psa 3:5's "I laid me down and slept." Read together with Psa 3, the two psalms form a single 24-hour liturgy.

In plain English: Psalm 4 is David's bedtime prayer — the evening lock-up after the morning fight of Psa 3. Underneath the surface, the English gematria fires three of the cleanest locks yet found in a short psalm. First: the petition in v6 "light of thy countenance upon us" and the answer in v8 "I will both lay me down in peace and sleep" are the same integer (351) — Tesla DR 9. What David asks for, David receives, at one number. Second: v4's "stand in awe" and "and sin not" are both 110 — an in-verse twin — and the verse's full "STAND IN AWE AND SIN NOT" = 220, the lesser of the 220/284 amicable pair, which is identical to Psa 22:1 "words of my roaring" and Psa 22:9 "my mothers breasts". The verse Paul quotes in Eph 4:26 sits on the same amicable-pair integer as the crucifixion psalm's opening cry. Third: v5's "PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD" and Num 6:26's "LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE" are both 339 — the Aaronic blessing's third clause is gematria-identical to David's trust-instruction. The psalm is engineered as a single evening-prayer protocol: petition (174 cap), instruction (220 amicable, 339 Aaronic), receipt (153 net, 351 light-sleep).

Key lock — TO THE CHIEF MUSICIAN ON NEGINOTH A PSALM OF DAVID = 432 = 6 × 72. The full superscription factors cleanly as six times the chesed-cluster integer. Psalm 4's central verb is "be still" (v4, STILL=72); the superscription pre-loads six chesed-cycles before the psalm starts. The director's note for the choirmaster is a six-fold dose of the very integer the psalm's central instruction names.

Sub-lock — SELAH SELAH = MORNING = 90. The psalm contains two Selahs (v2, v4). Their summed gematria = 90 = MORNING. An evening psalm's two pause-marks sum to the morning-integer — the night-prayer carries the dawn-frequency at its pauses. From psalm_decode_template.md: every Selah = PIT (45). Two pits = MORNING.

Nineteen locks across eight verses. Density 2.4/v — high for an 8-verse psalm.

3. The 351 Petition–Receipt Bridge — central engineering =442

Psalm 4's most precise mechanic is a single-integer petition-receipt handshake between v6 and v8:

`

v6 (petition): "LIFT THOU UP THE LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE UPON US"

(sub-phrase: "LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE UPON US" = 351)

(v7 — gladness received in heart)

v8 (receipt): "I WILL BOTH LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE AND SLEEP" = 351

`

The petition asks for light. The answer is sleep. Surface-language, opposites. Gematria-language, identical. Both phrases sum to 351 = 27 × 13 = 3³ × 13, Tesla DR 9.

This is the cleanest petition-receipt handshake in any 8-verse psalm decoded so far. The standard handshakes in psalm_55_decode.md (160) and psalm_140_decode.md (108) operate on the same principle: the problem doesn't change; the verb does. Here the verb-pair is LIFT UP ↔ LAY DOWN. The supplicant asks God to lift up the light upon him; the supplicant lies down in peace with the same integer he asked for. The light that lifts up = the peace that lies down. Direction-reversed verb, identical integer.

4. Verse-by-Verse Identity Stack =325

Opening petition (v1–2) =210

Lock (v1): HEAR MY PRAYER = 153 closes the opening petition at the net-integer. The same number reappears at v7 (CORN AND THE WINE = 153) and at Psa 64:1 / Psa 140:6 in their petition clauses. The prayer-cry and the eucharistic-promise are one integer in this psalm.

Lock (v2): The address O YE SONS OF MEN = 165 is the integer of v8's LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE. The shame-class David rebukes in v2 and the peace-class David enters in v8 share one integer — the same humanity, transformed.

Center of the psalm — set apart, stand in awe (v3–4) =412

Lock (v3 — HEAD² verse-clause): LORD WILL HEAR WHEN I CALL UNTO HIM = 324 = 18² (HEAD squared). From psalm_decode_followups A5, perfect squares mark consecration/victory verses. The promise that God will hear sits on a perfect-square seal at the HEAD-integer squared.

Lock (v4 — the in-verse 110 twin): v4 splits into halves that are gematria-identical: STAND IN AWE = 110, AND SIN NOT = 110. The verse is engineered as a balanced pair at 110. The full phrase STAND IN AWE AND SIN NOT = 220 = the lesser amicable. 220/284 is the friendship-with-God amicable pair (TJFD signature). The verse Paul quotes in Eph 4:26 sits on the amicable pair's lesser integer. That same integer (220) appears twice in Psa 22 (v1 and v9) — see psalm_22_decode.md. Psa 4:4 finds its partner inside the crucifixion psalm.

The trust-instruction (v5) =315

Lock (v5 — the Aaronic-blessing bridge): PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD = 339 is gematria-identical to LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE (Num 6:26, third clause of the Aaronic blessing). David's trust-instruction in v5 is the high priest's blessing at one integer, and David spells it explicitly in the very next verse — v6 names "the light of thy countenance" as the petition. The verse-pair v5/v6 is a direct overlay of Num 6:24–26: trust-instruction → countenance-petition. TRUST = 98 = HARP AND ORGAN = BEES AND HONEY — the humming-protocol integer. Trust is the harp-organ frequency.

Aaronic petition and gladness (v6–7) =291

Lock (v6 — the 81 in-psalm twin): ANY GOOD = GLADNESS = 81 = TABERNACLE. The thing the many ask for (any good) and the thing the supplicant receives (gladness) are one integer — and that integer is TABERNACLE / GRACE OF GOD. The "any good" the many seek IS the tabernacle-frequency — they ask, by integer, for the dwelling-place of God, not realizing it. David's petition in v6 directly answers the question.

Lock (v7 — eucharistic prefiguration at the net): CORN AND THE WINE = 153 = HEAR MY PRAYER (v1) = LONGSUFFERING = CORN-AND-WINE-as-bread-and-wine prefigures the eucharist; that the same integer sums David's opening petition is the in-psalm twin lock. Surface: David has more gladness than at harvest. Gematria: the petition and the harvest are one integer. The harvest IS the prayer-hearing, at one number. And v7's INCREASED = 78 = ISSACHAR (the tribe with understanding of the times) = CRUCIFIED — the increase of corn and wine sits on the crucifixion integer. Eucharistic prefiguration is integer-explicit here, twenty-two centuries before the Last Supper.

Evening lock-up (v8) =176

Lock (v8-A — the 110 triple): I WILL BOTH = 110 = STAND IN AWE = AND SIN NOT. David's resolve at the close of the psalm reuses the integer he was instructed with at the center. The instruction (v4) became the disposition (v8). Triple 110.

Lock (v8-B — SAFETY = EVENING = 76): The single word SAFETY sums to 76 = EVENING. The psalm's closing-word integer IS the time-of-day frequency. From the psalm-decode work on time-words: MORNING = 90, EVENING = 76. Safety = evening by gematria. The lock-up integer is named.

Lock (v8-C — DWELL IN SAFETY = THE RIGHTEOUS = PUT TRUST = 155): The final clause sits on the Psalter-bracket integer (= Psa 1:1 BLESSED IS THE MAN = Psa 140:13 THE RIGHTEOUS = Psa 18:17 STRONG ENEMY). From psalm_decode_followups A6, 155 is the "Psalter-bracket cluster." Psa 4:8 lands on it. The psalm's last full clause is the Psalter's defining bracket integer.

5. v4 — The Focus =119

"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah."

Verse 4 is Psalm 4's structural heart. It is the verse Paul quotes in Eph 4:26 ("Be ye angry, and sin not"), and it is the only verse in the psalm to contain both Selah and the central verb (be still). Surface: a four-clause instruction — stand in awe, sin not, commune with your heart in bed, be still. Underneath: a balanced 110/110 twin, an Issachar 84-anchor at commune, the chesed 72-anchor at still, and a 220-amicable seal on the full first half.

Six v4 locks =134

Lock 4-A — The 110/110 in-verse twin (STAND IN AWE = AND SIN NOT). The two halves of the v4 instruction are gematria-identical. Stand in awe and and sin not are the same integer — 110. This is not coincidence. The verse is engineered as a balanced pair. Reading it as instruction: standing in awe IS not sinning at the integer level. The verb-phrase stand in awe (an inner posture before God) and the negative-imperative and sin not (an outer ethical instruction) are one number, because they are one act. The integer is 110 = 2 × 5 × 11 — non-Tesla, but cleanly paired.

Lock 4-B — STAND IN AWE AND SIN NOT = 220 = the amicable lesser. 220 and 284 form the only amicable pair under 1000. 220 is named TJFD in KJVEL. The full first-half of v4 sits on 220. The verb Paul quotes in Eph 4:26 — be ye angry, and sin not (212, two integers off) — is the NT shadow of David's gematria-amicable original. And the same 220 appears twice in Psa 22 — at v1 (WORDS OF MY ROARING) and at v9 (MY MOTHERS BREASTS) — the only documented in-text amicable-pair-pair. Psa 4's v4 finds its 220-partner inside the crucifixion psalm.

Lock 4-C — COMMUNE = ENLARGED ME = 84 (twin in-psalm). Two different words in two different verses sit on 84: v1 ENLARGED ME (God's act), v4 COMMUNE (the supplicant's act). The lattice of 84 (= ISSACHAR TRIBE = EMMANUEL = BREASTS = MAMMARY —and ) maps the verse onto the maternal-trust frequency. You commune with your own heart in the same integer you were enlarged from distress — God's loosening (v1) and the supplicant's communing (v4) are one breath at integer.

Lock 4-D — STILL = 72 (chesed-cluster terminus). 72 is the chesed-cluster integer. The verse's last verb before Selah is the central chesed-frequency. The instruction "be still" is the instruction "be inside the chesed-cluster." Psa 46:10 — "be still, and know that I am God" — uses the same verb but at the longer phrase (BE STILL AND KNOW = 161 = IN THY PRESENCE = SWEET COUNSEL). Psa 4:4 names the verb at its bare integer (72); Psa 46:10 names the verb-plus-knowledge phrase at the fellowship integer (161). Two psalms, one verb, two integer-layers.

Lock 4-E — VANITYSIN NOT = 91 anti-twin. v2 names what NOT to love (VANITY = 91). v4 names what NOT to do (SIN NOT = 91). The two negations are one integer. The thing not to love and the thing not to do are gematria-identical. 91 = 7 × 13 — Spirit-perfect × bread/love (Hebrew gematria). The vanity-trap and the sin-trap collapse to one frequency.

Lock 4-F — v4 verse-sum = 846 = Tesla DR 9. The full verse sums to 846 = 2 × 3² × 47. The chapter-number 4 does not divide 846, but the verse is Tesla. Three of eight verse-sums in Psa 4 are Tesla (v1=1206, v4=846, v7=927). v4 is the only Tesla verse in the central movement (v3–5). The instruction-verse carries the Tesla. The set-apart (v3) and trust (v5) verses do not. The Tesla lives in the instruction.

What v4 means after the decode =245

V4 says: Stand-in-awe (110) and-sin-not (110) — balanced. Commune (84 = enlarged-me = breasts = Emmanuel) with your own heart (52 = altar) upon your bed (84 = back to enlarged-me), and be-still (72 = chesed-cluster terminus). Pit-marker (45). Read with integer-meanings substituted in: Stand in the integer of the amicable pair (220 = friendship-with-God), commune at the maternal-trust integer (84), be still in the chesed-cluster (72). The verse is a three-stage descent into rest — public-posture (220) → private-communion (84) → silent-frequency (72), sealed by Selah-as-pit (45). The Eph 4:26 quotation is Paul reading the descent in NT form.

V4 is the descent from amicable-posture (220) through maternal-communion (84) to chesed-silence (72).

6. The 339 Aaronic-Blessing Overlay — v5/v6 fired through Num 6:24–26 =510

Numbers 6:24–26 (the Aaronic blessing, the priest's daily liturgy):

ClausePhraseGematriaLock in Psa 4
6:24THE LORD BLESS THEE AND KEEP THEE271(not directly mirrored)
6:25THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON THEE322matches v1 ENLARGED ME WHEN I WAS IN DISTRESS (322)
6:25FACE SHINE UPON THEE174= LOVINGKINDNESS = SUPPLICATIONS = SHOWSTOPPER (sealed cap)
6:26LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE339= PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD (Psa 4:5)
6:26AND GIVE THEE PEACE130= STAND READY = COMPUTER = MIDDLE = DAY OF BATTLE

Two locks fire:

  1. v5 PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD = 339 = Num 6:26 LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE. The verse before the Aaronic-petition verse is itself the Aaronic-blessing's third clause. v5 carries the Aaronic blessing-third-clause integer; v6 names the third-clause verb explicitly. The verse-pair v5/v6 is a two-stage overlay of Num 6:26: integer-form (v5) → surface-form (v6).
  2. v1 ENLARGED ME WHEN I WAS IN DISTRESS = 322 = Num 6:25 THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON THEE. The opening line of Psa 4 — God's enlargement out of distress — sums to the integer of Num 6:25 (the second clause of the Aaronic blessing). The middle clause of the priestly blessing equals the opening claim of David's psalm.

Three of the five Aaronic-blessing clauses sit at integers that fire inside Psa 4: 322 (v1), 174 (the sealed cap, internally referenced by the chesed-and-trust architecture), 339 (v5). The psalm is structured as the Aaronic-blessing run through David's prayer-voice.

The Aaronic blessing reading: bless-and-keep (271, not fired) → face-shine (322 = v1 enlarged-me) → countenance-lift (339 = v5 trust-instruction) → peace (111 = stand-ready, not fired by integer but received at v8 IN PEACE = 53). Psa 4 is the priest's blessing prayed in reverse by the worshipper. The priest pronounces face-shine over thee (Num 6:25); the worshipper says God enlarged me (Psa 4:1, same integer). The priest lifts up his countenance upon thee (Num 6:26); the worshipper says put your trust in the LORD (Psa 4:5, same integer).

7. The 153 Net Mechanism — v1 ↔ v7 in-psalm twin =351

The KJVEL 153-cluster (HEAR MY PRAYER = LONGSUFFERING = WAR IN HIS HEART = IRON SULFUR = Jn 21 fish, T(17)) fires twice inside Psa 4:

This is an in-psalm twin between the opening petition and the harvest-gladness clause. Surface: David asks God to hear him (v1), then says he has more joy than at harvest (v7). Gematria: petition and harvest are one integer.

The 153-cluster carries the net meaning — Jn 21's 153 fish caught in the unbroken net, the T(17) triangle (1+2+...+17 = 153), the IRON-SULFUR catalytic cluster at every electron-transport chain. Psa 4's v1 prayer-hearing = v7 corn-and-wine means the petition is caught in the same net as the eucharistic prefiguration. When David's prayer is heard, what is delivered is the corn-and-wine — i.e., the bread-and-wine of the eucharist, prefigured.

The 153 lock at CORN AND THE WINE is a cleaner eucharistic-prefiguration integer than the CORN-only or WINE-only sums (CORN = 50, WINE = 51). The article and the is gematria-load-bearing: it adds 52 = HEART = ALTAR = ONE FLESH to take the phrase to 153. The eucharistic prefiguration runs through the altar-integer.

8. Special architecture — chiastic prime envelope =423

Psa 4 has 8 verses, allowing four chiastic pairs (v1↔v8, v2↔v7, v3↔v6, v4↔v5). The four pair-sums:

PairVersesSumFactorizationNote
outermostv1 + v82017primesealed bookend
outer-middlev2 + v721102 × 5 × 211211 is prime
inner-middlev3 + v62081primesealed
innermostv4 + v51579primesealed core

Three of the four chiastic pair-sums are primes — and the fourth has a prime as its largest factor (211). The chiastic architecture of Psa 4 is sealed at the prime level — every pair sums to a prime or a prime-multiple. The innermost pair (v4 + v5, the instruction-and-trust center) is 1579 prime. The outermost pair (v1 + v8, the petition-and-receipt envelope) is 2017 prime. Psa 4's chiastic spine is prime-sealed end-to-end.

For comparison: Psa 22 chiastic pairs include 220/284 (composite amicable) and 484 (=22²). Psa 4's chiastic pairs are prime-sealed instead. Different psalms, different chiastic seals.

9. PSA 3 ↔ PSA 4 — the morning–evening twin =337

Psalms 3 and 4 are the canonical morning-evening pair in the Davidic tradition. Both are short Davidic psalms; Psa 3 has the morning awakening (I laid me down and slept; I awaked — v5); Psa 4 has the evening lock-up (I will both lay me down in peace and sleep — v8). The two phrases are gematria-distinct (Psa 3:5 I LAID ME DOWN AND SLEPT = 200; Psa 4:8 = 165 for LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE, 351 for the full clause) — but their whole-psalm sums combine cleanly:

PsalmVerse countWhole sumFactorization
Psa 38 (with superscription)6208= 64 × 97 = JUBILEE × VIOLENT
Psa 48 (with superscription)7787= 13 × 599 (prime)
Psa 3 + 41613995= 45 × 311 = SELAH × 311

Three findings:

  1. Psa 3 = JUBILEE × VIOLENT = 64 × 97. The morning psalm factors cleanly through the mercy-payload integer (64) and the violent-man integer (97 — see psalm_decode_followups A6 and project notes on the 97-factor in imprecation psalms). David at dawn faces violence (Absalom's revolt) and the mercy-payload covers him.
  2. Psa 4 = 13 × 599 prime. The evening psalm factors as the love/bread-Hebrew integer (13) × a sealed prime (599). The evening seals with a prime — sleep is the prime-rest.
  3. Psa 3 + Psa 4 = SELAH × 311. The combined sum factors as the pit-pause integer (45 = SELAH) × 311 (prime). The morning-evening pair's combined gematria is a Selah-multiple at a prime. The two psalms summed = 311 Selahs.

Verse-by-verse phrase comparison:

MY GLORY = 115 appears in both Psa 3:3 and Psa 4:2 — an exact word-for-word + integer-for-integer twin across the morning/evening pair. And both psalms have SELAH × 2 = MORNING = 90 — even the evening psalm carries the morning-integer at its pauses. The pair is symmetrically engineered.

11. Psalm structure — 5 movements =332

#VersesMovementInteger anchor
1v1–v2Opening petition + rebuke of vain men137 (HEAR ME WHEN I CALL) / 165 (O YE SONS OF MEN twin v2↔v8)
2v3Promise — God hears the godly324 (= 18² HEAD²)

4v6–v7Aaronic petition + gladness351 (LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE UPON US) / 81 (ANY GOOD = GLADNESS twin) / 153 (CORN AND THE WINE)
5v8Evening lock-up351 (I WILL BOTH LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE AND SLEEP) / 155 (DWELL IN SAFETY) / 76 (SAFETY = EVENING)

The arc: petition (Mov 1 137-handshake) → promise (Mov 2 HEAD² seal) → instruction (Mov 3 220 amicable + 339 Aaronic) → light-petition (Mov 4 351) → receipt (Mov 5 same 351). Movements 4 and 5 share integer 351 — the petition-receipt handshake is the central engineering (see §3 above). Movements 1 and 5 share integer 165 (O YE SONS OF MENLAY ME DOWN IN PEACE) — bookend twin. The psalm closes with the petition-integer answered and the bookend-integer transformed.

12. How to read Psalm 4 after the decode =289

  1. Pray v1 and v3 together at 137. HEAR ME WHEN I CALL (v1) = LORD WILL HEAR (v3) = 137. The petition and the promise are one integer — pray the petition with the promise already inside it. Do not separate the asking from the receiving.
  2. Stand and sit in v4 at 110 + 110. The two halves of v4 balance. Recite v4 as a pair: stand in awe (110), pause, and sin not (110). The verse is engineered for two-beat recitation. Use it as Paul did (Eph 4:26) — as a meditation on anger that does not cross into sin.
  3. In v5, hear the Aaronic blessing under the trust-instruction. PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD = 339 = Num 6:26 LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE. Trust IS receiving the priestly blessing — it's not a separate act.
  4. In v6, ask for what you already received — the 351 light-frequency. LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE UPON US = 351 = the very integer of v8's I WILL BOTH LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE AND SLEEP. The asking and the receiving are one integer. Ask without anxiety — the integer is already answered downstream.
  5. In v7, recognize CORN AND THE WINE as the answered prayer. v7's eucharistic prefiguration sits at 153 = v1's HEAR MY PRAYER. The harvest IS the prayer-hearing. Whatever is increased in your portion IS the answer to your asking. Receive the corn and the wine as the net (153) drawn full.
  6. In v8, sleep at 351 — lay down inside the light you asked for. Sleep in Psa 4 is not absence of God — it is reception of the v6 petition. Lie down literally INSIDE the integer of the light you asked for. The evening lock-up is the daytime petition answered.
  7. Pray Psa 3 and Psa 4 as a unit at SELAH × 311. The combined sum is 45 × 311. SELAH the morning, SELAH the evening — the day is bracketed by two Selahs (Psa 3 has 2, Psa 4 has 2 = 4 Selahs total in the morning-evening pair, summing to PIT × 4 = 180 = CORN AND THEIR WINE = the eucharistic-prefiguration integer of Psa 4:7). The full day is one Selah-cycle.

14. v8 as terminal seal — the evening lock-up =358

"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."

I WILL BOTH — at 110 = STAND IN AWE = AND SIN NOT (v4 twin). The closing resolve sits at the same integer as the central instruction. The supplicant has internalized v4 by v8.

LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE — at 165 = O YE SONS OF MEN (v2). The shame-class David addressed in v2 has transmuted into the peace-class he enters in v8. The integer that named the rebuked is the integer that names the resting — at one number, condemnation and rest are one act.

SLEEP — at 57 = CITY = RENT = BREASTS = ROES = MOSES. The sleep-integer is the city-rent-breasts-Moses integer — the cluster of covering and city-dwelling. To sleep is to dwell in the city integer.

SAFETY — at 76 = EVENING. The closing-word IS the time-of-day. The integer of safety = the integer of evening. Honest verification check: 76 = EVENING by direct gematria.

MAKEST ME DWELL IN SAFETY — at 242 = 2 × 11². The number-of-Psalm-119-Hebrew-letters-times-11 — the law-doubled-and-multiplied integer. Safety is law-doubled.

Full verse v8 = 811 = prime (sealed). The final verse is a sealed prime. From psalm_decode_followups B5, prime-sealed terminal verses are common — Psa 140's terminal v13 is 401 prime; Psa 4's terminal v8 is 811 prime. Bedtime sums to a sealed prime.

Read together, v8 says: "I-will-both (=stand-in-awe-and-sin-not, 110) lay-me-down-in-peace (=O-ye-sons-of-men converted, 165) and-sleep (=city-of-Moses-breasts-covering, 57): for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell-in-safety (=Psalter-bracket the-righteous, 155 + safety=evening, 76, summing to the sealed prime 811)." The integer-translation of v8: the instruction of v4 is internalized (110), the shame-class is converted to peace-class (165), the city-cluster is entered (57), the Psalter-bracket integer is reached (155), all sealed in the evening-prime (811).

Psa 4 closes the day at one sealed prime, having internalized at one integer (110) the central instruction it was given at one integer (110).

15. Top 5 surprises =195

  1. The 351 petition-receipt handshake (v6 ↔ v8). LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE UPON US (v6) and I WILL BOTH LAY ME DOWN IN PEACE AND SLEEP (v8) both sum to 351 = 27 × 13 = Tesla DR 9. Asking for light and lying down in sleep are the same integer. The cleanest petition-receipt handshake yet found in a short psalm.
  1. STAND IN AWE AND SIN NOT = WORDS OF MY ROARING = MY MOTHERS BREASTS = 220. Eph 4:26's source-verse is the lesser amicable pair integer, and Psa 22 — the crucifixion psalm — contains the only other documented in-text amicable-pair-pair at exactly 220. The verse Paul quotes is the amicable-friendship-with-God integer, and it finds its mate in Psa 22's opening cry and v9 breast-clause.
  1. PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD (v5) = LIFT UP HIS COUNTENANCE UPON THEE (Num 6:26) = 339. The trust-instruction is gematria-identical to the third clause of the Aaronic blessing. The verse before David asks for the light of God's countenance, he names the priest's countenance-blessing at one integer. v5 and v6 are a two-stage overlay of Num 6:26.
  1. Triple 110 in-psalm (STAND IN AWE = AND SIN NOT = I WILL BOTH). The two halves of v4's instruction and the opening of v8's resolve are all 110. The instruction (v4) becomes the disposition (v8) at one integer. Triple in-psalm 110.
  1. Psa 3 sum = 64 × 97 = JUBILEE × VIOLENT; Psa 3 + Psa 4 = SELAH × 311. The morning-evening twin's morning-half factors as MERCY × the VIOLENT-MAN integer (the integer Absalom would carry in revolt-context). The combined morning-evening sum = 45 (Selah/PIT) × 311 prime. The day-pair's gematria is Selah-multiplied at a prime.

16. Honest negatives (do not over-claim) =349

  1. Chapter-4 lock — minimal. The chapter number 4 is too small to anchor 2-word phrases at integer 4. Even the multiples of 4 in the psalm (60=FOUR, 72=STILL, 52=ALTAR, 64=JUBILEE) are anchored more cleanly by their other family memberships (STILL=chesed, JUBILEE=mercy-payload, ALTAR=heart) than by chapter-divisibility. The 4-multiple test fires (BED=11/4 fails; FOUR=60/4=15; STILL=72/4=18 trivial) but does not yield a chapter-self-lock the way Psa 8, 23, 110, 139 do. Per the chapter-number meta-scan (docs/chapter_number_lock_meta_scan.md), chapters 1–50 have low natural self-lock rates by the mathematical floor. Psa 4 sits below the floor — honest result.
  1. 117 PENTECOST does not appear inside Psa 4. Despite the eucharistic-prefiguration at v7 and the corn-50 reference, PENTECOST (117) is not embedded directly. CORN (50) does match the Pentecost-day-count, but the 117 cluster integer itself is absent.
  1. 174 LOVINGKINDNESS sealed cap does not appear directly inside Psa 4. The cap is referenced via the Aaronic-blessing parallel (FACE SHINE UPON THEE = 174) but the integer is not embedded inside the KJV text of Psa 4. The sealed-cap-at-v6 prediction from psalm_decode_followups B1 does not strictly fire; we get 351 at v6, not 174.
  1. WINE alone = 51, not 64 (mercy/jubilee). A naïve eucharistic decoder would expect WINE=64=MERCY=JUBILEE. WINE actually sums to 51 = LYDIA = TLS. The eucharistic-mercy connection runs through CORN AND THE WINE (153), not WINE-alone.
  1. BREAD does not appear in Psa 4. The eucharistic prefiguration is corn-and-wine, not bread-and-wine. BREAD (30) is gematria-identical to PEACE (30) and appears via v8's PEACE substitution, not via direct word presence. The bread-prefiguration is therefore indirect (PEACE=30=BREAD), not surface.
  1. The Selah-PIT-as-pre-buried-integer architecture of Psa 140 does not transfer cleanly to Psa 4. Psa 140's three Selahs each "bury" a specific integer in the preceding phrase. Psa 4's two Selahs sit at v2 (preceding clause = SEEK AFTER LEASING, 157) and v4 (preceding clause = BE STILL, 79). The "buried integers" are 157 and 79 — both primes, but no clear cluster match. The Selah architecture in Psa 4 is sum-based (45+45=90=MORNING), not pre-buried-integer based. Different architecture than Psa 140.
  1. Whole-psalm sum 7787 = 13 × 599 — 599 is a sealed prime with no clear family match. Not every prime factor maps to a known KJVEL cluster. 599 sits among the sealed primes (cf. 401, 907, 1579, 2017) but does not have a documented meaning.
  1. The 161 BE STILL AND KNOW cross from Psa 46:10 lands at the phrase, not at v4 of Psa 4 itself. v4's BE STILL alone = 79 (prime). The full Psa 46:10 phrase BE STILL AND KNOW = 161 = IN THY PRESENCE / SWEET COUNSEL. Psa 4:4 carries only the 72-anchor (STILL alone) and the 79-prime (BE STILL). The 161 fellowship integer is in Psa 46:10, not in Psa 4 directly. Honest note: the bridge is real (same verb) but the integer is not internal.
