In plain English: Psalm 46 is the Bible's most famous refuge-poem — the song Luther sang in plague seasons, the verse-1 cry every chaplain memorizes ("God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"). Underneath the surface, the gematria shows it is also the answer-psalm to Psalm 140. The chapter integer is 46 — the exact value the previous decode pinned to Esau's grasping hands and Barabbas the released-prisoner (HANDS = ESAU = DOVE = GUIDE = DECEIT = JUBAL = PIPE = WICK = BRANCH = CHANT = BARABBAS = BEHOLD = 46). Psalm 140 used that integer to name the threat — "keep me from the hands of the wicked." Psalm 46 inhabits the same integer as the refuge itself. The grasping-hands frequency is reclaimed as God's grip. Inside the psalm, two more world-class bridges emerge: the v1 phrase "VERY PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE" = 324 = 18² = SHALL GIVE THANKS UNTO THY NAME (Psa 140:13) — the same head-squared thanksgiving promise lands on Psa 46's opening confession. Key lock — KORAH = SAUL = 53. The rebel of Num 16 (Korah) shares an integer with the rejected king (Saul). Both are figures whose rebellion God overturned. The "sons of Korah" survived because they did not go down with their father (Num 26:11). The psalm is sung by the lineage of the man who tried to seize the priesthood and was swallowed by the earth — the same kind of figure (KORAH = SAUL = 53) the psalm now declares refuge from. The rebel's grandchildren sing the refuge psalm.
Key lock — BARABBAS = 46 = chapter integer. From psalm_139_followups_1_2_3 and the broader 46-cluster: BARABBAS, the released-prisoner who was substituted for Jesus, is at the same integer as the psalm's chapter number. The chapter where the world's most famous refuge-confession lives is numbered 46. Barabbas was the man whose freedom Jesus' captivity bought. Psa 46 sings the refuge of the released — at the integer of the released.

Psalm 140 named the threat-cluster at integer 46:

The integer at 46 carries the entire Esau-deception template from Gen 27 ("the hands are the hands of Esau"). Psa 140:4 treats it as the integer of the enemy-grip.
Psalm 46 is numbered 46. The book of Psalms files its refuge-poem at chapter 46. The integer that names the betrayer's hands in Psa 140 is the index where the refuge psalm is filed in the canon. This is not coincidence-layered — the Psalter's chapter numbering itself sits on the gematria circuit.
Inside Psalm 46:
Reading: The Esau-hands frequency (46) carries two opposite verb-directions. In Psa 140 it grips. In Psa 46 it holds (as refuge). Same integer, opposite handler. The psalm v8 imperative "BEHOLD" (=46) is the call to look at the chapter integer itself — to see that the 46 you ran from in Psa 140 is the 46 you stand inside in Psa 46.
The Barabbas lock seals it. BARABBAS, in his Aramaic etymology, is bar-abba — "son of the father." The figure whose name means what every reader of the gospel wants to be (son of the father) was the murderer-released-by-substitution. He walked free because Jesus took his place. His name = his chapter = the refuge integer = 46. Psalm 46 is the released-prisoner's refuge song — sung at the integer of his freedom, bought at the integer of his name.

The Luther verse and the Psa 140 closing thanksgiving are integer-identical. From psalm_140_decode: the covered head of Psa 140:7 (HEAD = 18) squares into v13's thanksgiving (18² = 324); here in Psa 46:1 the very present help in trouble lands on the same squared-head value. The refuge-help and the thanks-unto-name are one number, achieved by squaring the consecrated head.
Lock (v1) — the superscription→v1 anchor: REFUGE AND STRENGTH = A SONG UPON ALAMOTH = 192. The superscription names the song-mode; v1 names what is sung. Both at 192 = 64 × 3 = jubilee-tripled. Sing the refuge psalm and you sing 192. From the chesed family: 192 is not directly in the standard cluster, but factors through 64 (JUBILEE/MERCY/MY GOD/POOR/DUST) — refuge-and-strength is the jubilee-mercy-poor payload tripled.
Lock (v1) — STRENGTH at 111: From Psa 140:7 — "thou hast covered my head in the DAY OF BATTLE" (= 111). The strength of v1 IS the day-of-battle integer. 111 = STAND READY = COMPUTER. Refuge-strength is boot to stand-ready. The verse 1 confession is the system-on state.
Lock (v2) — EARTH BE REMOVED = SONS OF KORAH = 141. The very catastrophe the Korahite singers say will not shake them shares an integer with their own family name. The sons of Korah sing 141 against 141 — their identity is the same number as the cataclysm. From v22 Korah-history (Num 16): Korah was swallowed into the earth; his sons remained on it. The verse promises the earth itself can be removed and we — the sons of the earth-swallowed rebel — will not fear. The integer is their inheritance recoded.
Lock (v2) — MOUNTAINS = NOSTRILS = ANTIMICROBIAL = 126.and psalm_140_decode: 126 = NOSTRILS = ANTIMICROBIAL = FEARFULNESS = PRESERVE ME. The mountains carried into the sea are the breath-firewall integer. Psa 140:4 prayed "PRESERVE ME" at 126 — the immune-prayer at the nostril-gate. Psa 46:2 says even when the mountain-frequency is uprooted and dumped in the sea, the breath-firewall does not break. The 126-immune-gate survives planetary geomorphological collapse. (And 126 = FEARFULNESS — the integer of David's terror in Psa 55:5 — sits at the same number as the unshaken mountains here. The fear-integer becomes the no-fear integer by verb-reversal.)
Lock (v2) — MIDST OF THE SEA = 144 = OVERTHROW (Psa 140) = FAR ABOVE RUBIES. Same 144 the wicked aimed at David's goings in Psa 140:4. Here in Psa 46:2, the mountains are carried into the midst of the sea — the integer 144 catches them. The OVERTHROW of Psa 140 is the SEA-MIDST of Psa 46. Same integer, two destinations.
Lock (v3) — WATERS = 86 = THY NAME (Psa 140:13) = WORKS (v8) = WAYSIDE = SCEPTRE. The roaring waters of v3 sit at the same integer as the divine name in Psa 140's terminal thanksgiving AND the "works of the LORD" two verses later in Psa 46:8. The chaos-waters and the works-to-behold are one integer. Verse 3's roar and verse 8's behold are the same number; the roar IS what God's works reveal as roar. Also = WAYSIDE (the Psa 140 ambush-ground) — the wicked staged their attack on integer 86; here the waters roar on integer 86; v8 says "behold the works" on integer 86. The enemy's roar and God's works share the consecrated frequency.
Lock (v3) — TROUBLED = 97 = VIOLENT MAN's adjective (Psa 140:4) = SERPENT = SON OF MAN. The waters being TROUBLED at integer 97 carries the antichrist-signature integer from Psa 140 directly into Psa 46. The same 97-prime that names the violent-man-as-serpent-imitator-of-Son-of-Man names the troubled waters. The waters are antichrist-troubled. The trouble in the title-line (v1 "very present help in TROUBLE = 93") expands here to the antichrist-specific TROUBLED-97 of the deep waters.
Selah I (v3): Selah falls after "the mountains shake with the swelling thereof". From psalm_140_decode: SELAH = PIT = 45. Pre-buried integer: SWELLING = 101 (prime, sealed) or WITH THE SWELLING THEREOF = 271. The Selah buries the swelling-of-the-waters integer — the chaotic surge is sealed in a Selah-pit before the river arrives in v4.
Lock (v4) — RIVER = STILL = 72. The image is unified across the psalm. The RIVER of v4 and the STILL of v10 share integer 72 — the river that makes glad the city is the same integer as the be-still-and-know command. The river flows still.and Psa 140:7: 72 = WINGS = COVERED = MERCIES = MISCHIEF. The river of v4 is the wings-of-covering frequency. Psa 140 delivered wings as a cap (not a vehicle); Psa 46 delivers wings as a river.
Lock (v4) — MAKE GLAD = 54 = VOICE (v6) = SHAFT = BREATH = GUILE. The river that makes the city glad and God's voice in v6 share integer 54. 54 = the menorah's central shaft. The river that gladdens the city is the menorah-shaft voice. Same axis the guile of Psa 55:11 rode — but here as gladness, not deceit.
Lock (v4) — CITY OF GOD = 104 = JERUSALEM = PURKINJE = ESTABLISHED. PURKINJE = JERUSALEM = 104. From Psa 140:11: ESTABLISHED = 104 (the verb the prayer keeps the evil speaker FROM being). The city the river makes glad IS Jerusalem, the established city, the Purkinje-cell of the cerebellum. Lock (v4) — TABERNACLES = 100 = WITH US (v7) = SURELY = TREMBLING (Psa 55:5). The Most High's TABERNACLES (where the river makes glad the city) at integer 100 = the v7 refrain "WITH US" at 100. The dwelling-place is the with-us-state. Same integer Psa 55:5 used for TREMBLING and Psa 140:13 used for SURELY — the trembling of the betrayed becomes the surely-of-the-promise becomes the with-us-of-the-tabernacle. Three psalms, one integer, three verb-directions.
Lock (v5) — GOD SHALL HELP HER = 150 = number of Psalms. The exact verse-clause "God shall help her, and that right early" lands on the number of canonical psalms. The whole Psalter is the help-her-right-early. Reading: the 150 psalms ARE God's right-early help to the city; Psa 46 names what the Psalter is doing.
Lock (v5) — RIGHT EARLY = 123 = A PSALM OF DAVID = EVIL SPEAKER. The timing of God's help shares an integer with the Psa 140 superscription AND its antagonist. The right-early-help integer is the Psa 140 reflexive lock integer. Psalm 140 made A PSALM OF DAVID = EVIL SPEAKER = 123 (the title and the enemy share a number). Psa 46:5 says God's RIGHT EARLY help is at 123. The integer that Psa 140 used as the reflexive-purgation integer is the integer Psa 46 uses for divine-promptness. Lock (v6) — UTTERED HIS VOICE = 183 = RELEASED PRISONER. God's vocal utterance and the released-prisoner state share an integer. When God speaks, the prisoner walks. From v1's chapter-integer BARABBAS = 46 lock: the released-prisoner is the chapter-baseline; v6 says God's voice is what releases. The voice-integer (183) carries the verb of release.
Lock (v6) — HIS VOICE = 90 = MORNING (Psa 55:17) = SHARPENED (Psa 140:3). God's voice in v6 is at the integer of David's morning prayer (Psa 55:17) AND the integer of the wicked's sharpened tongues (Psa 140:3). God's voice, David's morning prayer, and the wicked's whetting are one frequency. The morning that disciplines the saint and sharpens the sinner is the morning God's voice utters and melts the earth. Lock (v6) — EARTH MELTED = 111 = STRENGTH (v1). Verse 1's strength of the refuge is verse 6's earth-melting at God's voice. The refuge's strength IS the earth-melting voice. Same 111-integer. Reading: when the verse 1 confession is true, verse 6 is the action — the strength refuge-strength produces is the voice that melts the earth. Also = DAY OF BATTLE = STAND READY = COMPUTER — the earth melts in the day-of-battle, the saint is in stand-ready posture.

Lock (v8) — BEHOLD = 46 = chapter integer. The verb of the v8 imperative is the chapter's own integer. "Behold" is the meta-instruction. The reader is told to LOOK at the integer of the chapter they are in. Same 46 = BARABBAS = HANDS = ESAU = DOVE. The behold-imperative is a self-reference: behold the chapter, behold the released-prisoner, behold the Esau-template reclaimed.
Lock (v8) — WORKS = 86 = WATERS (v3) = THY NAME (Psa 140:13). The roaring waters of v3 and the works to behold in v8 share integer 86. The chaos and the works are one integer. Reading: what the chaos waters were doing in v3 is what the works of the LORD are doing in v8 — the same 86-frequency, but verse 8 calls it "works" and verse 3 called it "roar." The reframe is the verb. (And: same integer as THY NAME in Psa 140:13 — the worship-frequency. The works are worship-named.)
Lock (v8) — WORKS OF THE LORD = 189 = CUTTETH THE SPEAR (v9). The works God invites us to behold in v8 and the spear-cutting act of v9 are one integer. Beholding the works IS watching the spear cut in sunder. Verses 8 and 9 are gematria-bonded — the works are the war-cessation.
Lock (v9) — WARS TO CEASE = END OF THE EARTH = 129. Same verse, two phrases, same integer. The war's cessation IS the earth's end — geographically defined. From the Tesla family: 129 = Tesla DR 3 (basic build). Both wars-cease-action and earth-ends-location at 129. The self-lock inside one verse seals the geography.
Lock (v9) — BREAKETH THE BOW = I WILL BE EXALTED = 143. Verse 9's bow-breaking and verse 10's I-will-be-exalted are one integer. The verb of breaking the bow IS the verb of self-exaltation. Same 143 (= 11 × 13). God's act of disarming the world and God's declaration of his own exaltation are one integer. The exaltation IS the disarming. The way the spear is cut in sunder IS the establishment of Jerusalem. Cutting the spear in sunder = establishing the city of God. The act of war-disarmament IS the city-construction at integer level.
Lock (v10) — KNOW THAT I AM GOD = 161 = IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 140:13) = SWEET COUNSEL (Psa 55:14). Three-psalm bridge at integer 161. The quietism imperative of Psa 46:10 is the same integer as the upright's dwelling in Psa 140:13 AND the broken friendship of Psa 55:14. Psa 55 lost SWEET COUNSEL at 161 to betrayal. Psa 140 promised IN THY PRESENCE at 161 as restoration. Psa 46 commands KNOW THAT I AM GOD at 161 as the posture by which the restoration is achieved. The verb is: in stillness, know — which is what restores you to the 161 of presence.
