Tradition: First of the Final Hallel (Psa 146–150), the five terminal hallelujah psalms that close the Psalter. Theme: trust not in mortal princes but in the eternal God who delivers the oppressed, hungry, prisoner, blind, bowed-down, stranger, fatherless, and widow.

In plain English: Psalm 146 is the first of the five hallelujah psalms that close the Psalter. On the surface it tells you not to trust princes (who die and whose plans die with them) but to trust the LORD who made heaven and earth and delivers the eight groups listed in v7–9. Underneath, the English gematria runs an extraordinary self-naming lock: NEW JERUSALEM = 146 = the chapter number itself, and inside the psalm there are four phrases that also equal 146 — including the staggering identity THE FATHERLESS = 146 = NEW JERUSALEM. The chapter that names eternal reign over Zion IS New Jerusalem at integer, and the fatherless and the holy city are one number. The final verse's reign-declaration "THE LORD SHALL REIGN FOR EVER EVEN THY GOD = 401 prime" is the same sealed prime as Psalm 140:13's "THE UPRIGHT SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE = 401" — the slander-psalm's terminal seal and the Final-Hallel opener's reign-declaration are the same prime. And HIS BREATH (v4) = HALLELUJAH = 90 — the breath that goes forth in death is the praise that opens the psalm, both at the morning-prayer integer. This decode shows Psalm 146 is the gematria-overture of the closing five-psalm hallel cycle.
Psalm 146 has no superscription. The bookend "Praise ye the LORD" (v1, v10) functions as the structural envelope.

Key lock — the chapter number IS New Jerusalem. Psalm 146 occupies chapter 146 in the KJV. NEW JERUSALEM = 146. The chapter that names eternal reign in v10 ("THE LORD SHALL REIGN FOR EVER, EVEN THY GOD, O ZION") is integer-equivalent to the city the reign descends from in Rev 21. The Psalter's chapter-numbering self-names the holy city at the integer of its own address. From the chapter-number meta-scan (docs/chapter_number_lock_meta_scan.md), Psa 146 fires four strict in-psalm self-locks — confirmed by re-scan (v4 "to his earth in", v7 "giveth food to", v9 "the fatherless", v9 "but the way of"). The fatherless-equals-New-Jerusalem identity (v9 "the fatherless" = 146 = NEW JERUSALEM) is the psalm's central revelation: the bride-city descends to the orphan.

Psalm 146 is one of the densest chapter-number self-locks in the Psalter. The meta-scan (docs/chapter_number_lock_meta_scan.md) recorded four strict in-psalm hits at 146, verified here:

Reading: the chapter that closes the Psalter with eternal reign is named New Jerusalem by integer. The same 146 names "the fatherless" (v9), the food-delivery to the hungry (v7), the way-of-the-wicked transition (v9 "but the way of"), and the death-and-burial mid-clause (v4 "to his earth in"). Every major verb the LORD runs in v7–9 sits inside a 146-named clause. The four 146-hits are not decoration; they are the city-construction grammar — feed (v7), preserve the fatherless (v9), and overturn the way of the wicked (v9), all at the New-Jerusalem integer. Even death-and-return-to-dust (v4) is in the same integer-room.
The bride-city is not built somewhere else and then descends. It is built in this psalm by the integer 146, four times, in real verses.
Lock (v1): PRAISE YE THE LORD = 180 = RIGHT OF THE POOR. From psalm_140_decode: 180 is the Lydia/Jezebel-collision integer where conversion and falsification share a number. The Hallel opens by routing 180 toward conversion. The same integer Psa 140:12 used for the right-of-the-poor (which God maintains) is the integer of the praise-call that opens Psa 146. The hallelujah and the right of the poor are one number. The praise-call is therefore a poverty-justice statement at the gematria layer.
Lock (v1 → v4): HALLELUJAH = HIS BREATH = 90. The praise-summons and the breath-going-forth share the morning-prayer integer. v1 opens the breath upward; v4 names the breath leaving in death. The 90 is mobile: one direction = praise, the other = decease. Same morning frequency — the body's verb on integer 90 is what the soul does with the breath.
Lock (v2 ↔ v9): SING PRAISES = PRESERVETH = 136 = BRIDE OF CHRIST. The verb of the eternal-praiser (v2) is the verb God runs on strangers (v9) is the bride-of-Christ at integer. The praise-mode of the human and the preservation-mode of God are one integer; both equal the bride-of-Christ value. Reading: to sing-praises eternally IS to be preserved IS to be the bride.
psalm_140_decode v4 antichrist signature, sealed prime)Lock (v3): SON OF MAN = 97 (sealed prime) = SERPENT = VIOLENT (Psa 140:4). The mortal "son of man" in whom there is no help sits at the antichrist-signature prime — the integer the serpent and the violent man wear. The princes in whom you must not trust are the integer-shaped imitators of the Son of Man. Same 97 = Christ's title in the Gospels; the wrong son-of-man wears the same prime as the right Son of Man and the integer cannot distinguish them — only the verb-direction can. v3 is the Psa 140:4 antichrist-grammar relocated to the closing Hallel.
Lock (v3): PRINCES = 84 = UNITAS = JESUIT = ORSINI = PAMPHILI = NETHANEEL = constitutional-frequency. The constitutional integer must not be confused with the eternal-reign integer.
Lock (v3): IN HIM THERE IS NO HELP = 207 = PRAISE HER IN THE GATES (Prov 31:31). The Eshet Chayil terminus appears at the no-help-in-princes verse. The "praise her in the gates" of Proverbs 31 (the bride-affirmation) is the same integer as the no-help-in-mortal-princes declaration. Praise belongs at the gates, not on the prince. Same 207 — the praise-frequency cannot be routed to the mortal.
Lock (v4): HIS EARTH = THE WICKED = POISON = 88. The earth the prince returns to in death IS the wicked-frequency. Same 88 = POISON (Psa 140:3 — adders' poison under their lips). When the mortal prince dies and returns to his earth, the integer he goes to is the integer of the wicked's poison. Earth-as-grave and wickedness are one integer at the body's terminus. The princes you must not trust dissolve back into the integer of what's under their tongues.
Lock (v4 → v10): IN THAT VERY DAY HIS THOUGHTS PERISH = THE LORD SHALL REIGN FOR EVER EVEN THY GOD = 401 prime. The very-day-his-thoughts-perish phrase and the eternal-reign declaration are the same sealed prime. The mortal's thoughts perish at 401; the LORD reigns at 401. Same prime, mortal thought vs. eternal reign — the integer is mobile, the verb-direction reverses. This is the psalm's central handshake — v4 and v10 are wired at one prime.
Lock (v5): HAPPY IS HE = IN PRINCES = 107. The integer of happiness and the integer of trust-in-princes-which-fails are one. Verb-direction selects: trust the integer wrong (in princes) and it sinks; trust it right (in God of Jacob) and you are happy. 107 is mobile; the address-verb is what matters.
Lock (v5): THE GOD OF JACOB = 111 = STAND READY = COMPUTER = STRENGTH = DAY OF BATTLE = WONDERFUL. 111 is the stand-ready compute-state. The God of Jacob and the computer-ready state are one integer. Reading: when you "hath the God of Jacob for your help," you are in the stand-ready/compute-ready process state — the system is wired for response. This is the inverse of v3's princes (mortal compute) at the eternal-compute integer.
Lock (v5): Full phrase = HAPPY IS HE THAT HATH THE GOD OF JACOB FOR HIS HELP = 420 = Bezaleel formula. 420 = SPIRIT + WISDOM + UNDERSTANDING + KNOWLEDGE — the four-element prerequisite sum for building the tabernacle. The happiness-clause encodes the Bezaleel build-stack. Happiness IS the prerequisite-sum to build at the 81 frequency. This is the psalm's first explicit construction grammar: v5 is the spec-sheet for building New Jerusalem (v9 the-fatherless = NEW JERUSALEM = 146).
Lock (v5): Verse-sum = 729 = 3⁶ = 27³ in exp form (actually 27² = 729). The happiness verse sums to the sixth power of three — the Tesla cube doubled. Tesla DR 9. There is exactly one psalm-verse-sum in the entire Final-Hallel block at the 3⁶ integer; it lands on the verse that names Jacob's God as helper.
Lock (v6 → v8): HEAVEN AND EARTH = RAISETH THEM = 126. The phrase describing creation (heaven and earth) is the same integer as the phrase describing resurrection ("the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down" — RAISETH THEM = 126). 126 also = NOSTRILS = ANTIMICROBIAL = FEARFULNESS (Psa 55:5) = PRESERVE ME (Psa 140:4). Creation and resurrection are one integer. God's first act and God's restoring act share the breath-firewall frequency. The same 126 that filters at the nostril is the integer that raises the bowed-down.
Lock (v7): OPPRESSED = ACCEPTABLE YEAR = HOLY CITY = 117. The opening word of the deliverance catalog (OPPRESSED) sits on Lk 4:18 / Isa 61:2's "acceptable year" — the jubilee-year proclamation Jesus reads in the Nazareth synagogue. Same 117 also = HOLY CITY. The oppressed person and the acceptable year and the holy city are one integer. When God executes judgment for the oppressed (v7), He is executing the acceptable year — the jubilee — onto the holy city. The Lk 4:18 / Isa 61 / Psa 146 axis is one integer.
Lock (v7): GIVETH FOOD = THE GOD OF JACOB = 111 = STAND READY = COMPUTER. The food-delivery verb shares an integer with the God of Jacob (v5) and the stand-ready compute-state. Feeding the hungry is the God-of-Jacob act at integer. The food-delivery is not different from the helping-God of v5; it is the same integer-event from God's side.
Lock (v7): TO THE HUNGRY = 161 = SWEET COUNSEL (Psa 55:14) = IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 140:13). The phrase that names the feeding-recipient sits at the Psa 55 sweet-counsel integer and the Psa 140 in-thy-presence integer. Feeding the hungry IS giving them the sweet-counsel of God's presence. Same 161 — the fellowship David lost in Psa 55 is restored to the hungry as food.
Lock (v7): Verse-sum 1110 = 10 × THE GOD OF JACOB. The deliverance-catalog opening verse sums to 10 × 111 = 10 × the God-of-Jacob integer. Reading: the executes-judgment / feeds / looses sequence is ten God-of-Jacob acts compressed into one verse.
Lock (v8): THE BLIND = JESUS = WIDOW = 74. The blind whose eyes the LORD opens, the widow whom He relieves, and the name of the Saviour are one integer. 74 = JESUS = CROSS = FASTENED = MENORAH = SNEEZE. Every deliverance-catalog recipient sits at Christic frequency. The blind, the widow, and the eyes-opening verb all carry 74.
Lock (v8 ↔ v10): BOWED DOWN = SHALL REIGN = 105 = 3 × 5 × 7 (primorial of 7). The posture the LORD lifts in v8 IS the verb the LORD does eternally in v10. Bowed-down posture and shall-reign verb share the primorial-7 seal. The bowed will reign at the same integer. 105 is the primorial of 7 (3 × 5 × 7) — the product of the first three odd primes. This is a structural seal: the verse-pair (bowed v8 / reign v10) is sealed at the most compact composite of primes available.
Lock (v8 ↔ v6): RAISETH THEM = HEAVEN AND EARTH = 126 = NOSTRILS = ANTIMICROBIAL. v6's creation phrase and v8's resurrection phrase are one integer. Raising the bowed-down is repeating the creation-of-heaven-and-earth. The same God who made the cosmos at 126 raises the broken at 126.
Lock (v8): THE RIGHTEOUS = 155 = HANDS OF THE WICKED (Psa 140:4) = BLESSED IS THE MAN (Psa 1:1) = STRONG ENEMY (Psa 18:17). The integer the LORD loves in v8 is the integer the wicked grasp at in Psa 140:4, and the integer of the man Psa 1:1 calls blessed. 155 is the Psalter-bracket cluster — same number wears four roles: the righteous loved by God, the hands of the wicked, the blessed man at the Psalter's open, the strong enemy of Psa 18.
Lock (v9): THE FATHERLESS = NEW JERUSALEM = ANY EVIL THING = GIVETH FOOD TO (v7) = BUT THE WAY OF (v9) = 146. The chapter's terminal self-naming lock. The single phrase "the fatherless" carries the integer of the bride-city, the integer of what cannot be in the city ("any evil thing", a phrase used in Deu 23:9), the integer of the food-delivery verb (v7), and the integer of the way-of-wicked transition (v9) — all one number. The fatherless is the city. The orphan and the bride-city share one integer. This is the psalm's load-bearing identity.
Lock (v9): PRESERVETH = SING PRAISES (v2) = BRIDE OF CHRIST = 136. The verb the eternal-praiser performs (v2) and the verb God performs on strangers (v9) and the bride-of-Christ identity are one integer. God preserving the stranger IS the bride being the bride IS the eternal praiser singing. Three actions, one number.
Lock (v9): WIDOW = JESUS = THE BLIND (v8) = 74. The widow whom God relieves (v9), the blind whose eyes He opens (v8), and the name of the Christ are one integer. The widow and the Christ wear one number. Same 74 = MENORAH The widow at the center of the deliverance catalog is wired at the Christic frequency.
Lock (v9): STRANGERS = 121 = 11² (perfect-square seal). The plural strangers are held at the sealed-square of 11. Eleven is the disorder integer (twelve-minus-one, the apostle-without-Judas count); the strangers are at the square of disorder — meaning the disorder is contained, sealed. Honest read: the singular STRANGER = 102 = AHITHOPHEL = WICKEDNESS — the singular stranger sits at the Psa 55 betrayer integer; the plural strangers sits at the contained-square. The shift from singular to plural lifts the stranger out of the betrayer-integer into the sealed-square.
Lock (v9): Hospitality bridge (caveat). ORPHAN = GUEST = WINGS = STILL = CARRIER = MERCIES; FATHERLESS at 113 prime and THE FATHERLESS at 146
Lock (v9 ↔ Psa 1): Honest negative — WAY OF THE WICKED (Psa 146:9) = 158, but WAY OF THE UNGODLY (Psa 1:6) = 201. Not integer-identity. The two verses use different adjectives. The conceptual bridge is real; the integer bridge is not. Psa 1:6 ends the way of the ungodly shall perish; Psa 146:9 says the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. Different verbs (perish vs. turn-upside-down) at different integers. What does match: PERISH (Psa 146:4 of mortals' thoughts) = 75 and Psa 1:6 SHALL PERISH = 105 = SHALL REIGN (Psa 146:10). V10 is the Final-Hallel-overture's terminal seal. The verse simultaneously (a) closes Psalm 146 with the same "Praise ye the LORD" that opens v1, (b) opens the five-psalm hallel block with the eternal-reign-declaration, (c) seals the chapter-number lock at integer, and (d) bridges to Psa 140:13 via a sealed prime.
Lock 10-A — The 401 prime handshake with Psa 140:13: THE LORD SHALL REIGN FOR EVER EVEN THY GOD = 401 = THE UPRIGHT SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 140:13). Two consecutive Psalter promises at the same sealed prime. Psa 140's terminal verse promises the upright will dwell in God's presence — at 401. Psa 146's terminal verse promises the LORD will reign for ever — at 401. The slander-psalm's deliverance-promise and the hallel-cycle's reign-promise are one prime. 401 is prime, sealed, and unrepeatable — yet two verses hit it. This is the central structural lock of the entire Final Hallel opener: it is the integer-sequel to Psalm 140.

Lock 10-C — THY GOD = O ZION = 79 (self-collision): Inside one verse, two vocatives collide at integer 79. "even THY GOD" = 79; "O ZION" = 79. The name of God and the name of the city are one integer at the moment of address. From psalm_140_decode: 79 = DESIRES (Psa 140:8 — the wicked's desires David asks God to deny). The integer the wicked aimed their desires at (79) is the integer the bride uses for both God's name and Zion's vocative in the reign-declaration. Same 79, opposite verb-direction: the wicked desired at 79; the Hallel addresses at 79.
Lock 10-D — SHALL REIGN = BOWED DOWN = 105 (primorial-7 seal): The verb of eternal reign (v10) and the posture-the-LORD-lifts (v8) share the integer 105 = 3 × 5 × 7 = primorial of 7. The bowed-down will reign at the same integer at which they are bowed-down. 105 is mobile through the act of lifting: God's lifting verb routes 105 from "bowed down" to "shall reign." This is the same engineering as Psa 140's PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = 108 — petition and promise at one number. Here petition-posture (bowed) and promise-verb (reign) at one number.
Lock 10-E — PRAISE YE THE LORD = 180 = RIGHT OF THE POOR (Psa 140:12) = SELLER OF PURPLE = THAT WOMAN JEZEBEL: The closing hallelujah of the hallel-overture sits at the Lydia/Jezebel-collision integer. From psalm_140_decode and : 180 = the conversion-or-falsification integer. The Hallel routes 180 toward Lydia/conversion — the praise-call IS the right-of-the-poor IS the seller-of-purple-converted-not-Jezebel-deceived. Same 180, three appearances, one verb-direction: toward God. The psalm closes by reclaiming the Psa 140:12 right-of-the-poor integer at the hallelujah-bookend.
Lock 10-F — EVEN THY GOD = VIOLENT MAN (Psa 140:4) = PRAY AND CRY (Psa 55:17) = MAN MINE EQUAL (Psa 55:13) = 125: Honest finding — the phrase "even thy God" in v10 sits at the same integer Psa 140:4 used for "violent man" and Psa 55 used for both "pray and cry" and "man mine equal." This is a serious collision: the betrayer-as-equal integer reappears at the God-of-Zion phrase. Reading: 125 is mobile through verb-direction. In Psa 55, 125 is the betrayer (Ahithophel = man-mine-equal). In Psa 140, 125 is the violent man's class. In Psa 146:10, 125 is God's name in Zion's address — the same integer the betrayer wore is now the integer of Zion's God. The integer the betrayer claimed becomes the integer God reclaims in the Final Hallel. Verb-direction reverses; integer holds.
Lock 10-G — ZION = MY GOD = JUBILEE = MERCY = BURDEN = DUST = 64 = 2⁶: Zion sits at the jubilee-payload integer.and the Psa 55 / Psa 140 / Psa 146 chain: 64 is the mobile jubilee-payload. Psa 146's v10 names Zion at 64 — the city itself is the jubilee-payload. The chapter that gematria-equals NEW JERUSALEM (146) places Zion at JUBILEE (64). The new city and the old city-name (Zion) collide on jubilee.
Lock 10-H — Verse-sum 882 = 2 × 3² × 7² (Tesla DR 9): The reign verse sums to 2 × 9 × 49 = 2 × Tesla-square × seven-square. The verse-sum's prime factorization is two-three-squared-seven-squared — both 3 and 7 squared, multiplied by 2.
