Form: 18 verses, superscription "A Song of degrees" (no Davidic attribution in the superscription, but the psalm is about David's oath and God's reciprocal oath to David)
Tradition: The longest of the fifteen Songs of Ascents (Psa 120–134). The covenant-of-the-ark psalm. Verses 1–10 record David's vow to find a habitation for the Lord, climaxing at the central plea (v8) "Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength." Verses 11–18 record God's reciprocal oath to David — the dynasty oath, the Zion-election, the horn-budding, the lamp-ordained-for-the-anointed. Quoted at the dedication of Solomon's Temple (2 Chron 6:41–42 ≈ Psa 132:8–10) and at the birth of Christ in Zacharias's Benedictus (Luke 1:69 — "raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David"). In plain English: Psalm 132 is the ark-of-the-covenant psalm. David swears he won't go to sleep until he finds a place for God; God swears back that He'll plant a horn-of-David that buds and a lamp-for-the-anointed that flourishes. The decode shows the psalm is engineered around its own chapter number: MY COVENANT = 132 = CROWN OF GOLD, and the verse where that phrase actually appears (v12) is the structural pivot between David's vow (vv1–10) and God's reciprocal oath (vv11–18). The whole psalm splits into two Tesla-3 halves (6474 / 6960, both DR=3), the central plea-and-response handshake runs at the 117 integer (WE FOUND IT in v6 = HORN TO BUD in v17 = PENTECOST = COMMUNION), and the lovingkindness cap 174 appears as both FACE OF THINE ANOINTED (v10) and FOR HIS HABITATION (v13) — the same integer carrying David's plea and God's election. This is the longest Songs of Ascents psalm and it reads like a covenant-execution log.

Key lock — A SONG OF DEGREES = 140: the superscription itself = 140 = TESTIMONY (which is the second word of v12's covenant clause). The song-form is the testimony it teaches. Compare Psa 142's superscription DAVIDS PRAYER = 142 (chapter-number lock) and Psa 110's superscription THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD pattern. Here the lock is one degree quieter: the title is the content-word at the structural pivot (v12). And DEGREES = 63 = THE ARK = the very object David is bringing up the degrees.

Psa 132 is engineered as a two-oath ladder. David vows in vv1–10 ("How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob"). God reciprocates in vv11–18 ("The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it"). The split is sharp at v10/v11 and both halves sum to Tesla DR=3:

Every level Tesla. The gap 486 = 2 × 3⁵ is a pure power-of-3 envelope. The two halves are not symmetric in length (10 verses vs 8) but they are gematric-balanced.
The two halves rotate around v11, the pivot verse where the verbs flip ("THE LORD hath sworn… unto DAVID"). The integer carrying the rotation:

119 → 191 = digit-reversal (the vow-direction flips). 269 is sealed prime. The petition-pivot-promise reads 119/191/269 — the first two are digit-reversals, the third is the same as Psa 23:5 ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL (269 = SHALL DWELL IN THY PRESENCE from psalm_decode_followups B5). The anointing of Psa 23 and the crown-flourishing of Psa 132 sit at the same sealed prime.
Lock (v1): AFFLICTIONS = 114 = ABUNDANTLY (v15) = KING CROWN. The opening integer of David's suffering equals the closing integer of God's provision. The same integer carries both directions — the affliction IS the abundance at gematria, the suffering IS the crown. This is a same-integer-opposite-vector lock (the boomerang mode documented in psalm_decode_followups A4).
Lock (v2): MIGHTY GOD OF JACOB appears at v2 AND v5 — the inclusio brackets David's vow-block. At 160, the same integer appears at Psa 55:8 (WINDY STORM = the threat) and Psa 55:22 (CAST THY BURDEN = the resolution). Here it appears as the figure David swears to. The same 160 that cast burdens in Psa 55 receives David's vow in Psa 132.
psalm_decode_followups C6)Lock (v3): TABERNACLE = 81. David refuses to enter his own tabernacle (= 81) until God has one. KING DAVID = 81 — David's own identity-integer is the same as the structure he refuses to enter. The vow is auto-recursive: David refuses his own 81 until God receives an 81 first. The integer-identity of the vow is "the 81 builder won't enter the 81 until the 81 is built for the 81."
Lock (v4): MINE EYELIDS = 120 = CHIEF MUSICIAN. The eyelids-of-David integer = the title-of-the-Chief-Musician integer. Sleep-deprivation is musical-discipline. Psa 132 isn't psalm-with-CHIEF-MUSICIAN in its superscription (it's A Song of Degrees), but the 120 sits inside the second verse of the vow — the chief-musician integer is buried where David refuses sleep.
Lock (v5): HABITATION = 99 = FIRMAMENT = CAST OUT = UPRIGHT. The thing David seeks (a habitation) = the eviction integer. He's looking for a non-evicted place for the One whose presence keeps casting Him out (no fixed temple yet). 99 here is the positive-construction reading of the same integer that means "cast out" elsewhere — the firmament-integer in build-mode.
Lock (v6): EPHRATAH = 77 = CHRIST. The geographic name where the ark was heard-of = the gematria-name of CHRIST. The ark-recovery site IS Bethlehem-Ephratah (Mic 5:2), the city where Christ is born. The integer locks the two events together — same place, same integer, same person.
Lock (v6): WE FOUND IT = 117 = HORN TO BUD (v17). The verse-6 ark-finding and the verse-17 horn-budding are the same integer. 117 = COMMUNION = PENTECOST = ON HIS HEART — the ark-on-the-priest's-heart (breastplate) is the integer of both finding and budding. This is the central handshake of Psa 132.
Lock (v6): FIELDS OF EPHRATAH = 153 = LONGSUFFERING = HEAR MY PRAYER = TABLES OF STONE ( family). The ark-search geography sums to the iron-sulfur-net integer that we've documented as the substance the ark carried (TABLES OF STONE = 153). Place and contents lock at 153.
Lock (v7): HIS FOOTSTOOL = 173 = INTO THY REST (v8). The footstool of v7 and the rest of v8 are the same integer. Worshipping at the footstool IS entering the rest at gematria. 173 = WITH SALVATION (v16) at one off — the footstool-rest integer is one degree from the priestly clothing-of-salvation. The threshold integer.
Lock (v8): ARK OF THY STRENGTH = 215 = 5 × 43 = 5 × A LAMP. The ark of God's strength is exactly five lamps at factor — the menorah (7-branch) minus its central shaft equals the 6 surrounding lamps; minus the two outer pairs = 5 inner lamps. The plea phrase contains the lamp-multiple. The ark is the lamp-storage.
Lock (v8): ARISE O LORD INTO THY REST = 289 = 17². The 153-net is T(17) (triangular number of 17); 17² is the same 17 squared. The plea-phrase sums to the square of the index of the ark-net. This is the same pattern as psalm_decode_followups A5 (perfect-square seals on victory verses): Psa 64:8 = 22², Psa 64:10 = 19², Psa 110:4 = 21², Psa 132:8 = 17². The 17 family is the iron-sulfur / fish-net family; here the plea verse is square-sealed on it.
Lock (v9 ↔ v16): v9 is the petition priestly clothing (PRIESTS BE CLOTHED WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS = 509 prime); v16 is the answer priestly clothing (CLOTHE HER PRIESTS WITH SALVATION = 485 = 5 × 97). Both sealed at primes-or-prime-families. v9 saints (344) is non-Tesla; v16 saints (390 DR=9 ✓) is Tesla. The shout gets louder by Tesla-saturation. v16 adds "ALOUD" and the integer goes Tesla. The petition is preserved-prime; the answer is amplified-Tesla. This is the mirror engineering of Psa 132.
The 97-factor in v16's priest-clothing (485 = 5 × 97) is meaningful: 97 = VIOLENT = SERPENT = SON OF MAN (psalm_decode_followups F). Per the imprecation-batch finding (97-factor concentrates at curse-architecture centers in Psa 35, 69, 109, 139), here the 97 appears at priestly salvation — the inverse vector. 5 × 97 = the priest's salvation routing through the serpent-integer (because the priesthood's salvation IS dealing with the serpent). The same 97 that marks imprecation-centers marks this priestly clothing of salvation.
Lock (v10): TURN NOT AWAY THE FACE = 220, and v15's SATISFY HER POOR WITH BREAD = 284. 220 / 284 is the canonical amicable pair — Σ(divisors of 220) = 284, Σ(divisors of 284) = 220. this pair appears throughout the KJV at structural anchors (TJFD = 220, etc.). Here it's split across the two halves of Psa 132: David's plea (v10, 220) and God's provision (v15, 284). The vow and the oath form a complete amicable pair across the structural divide. This is the second documented in-psalm 220/284 pair (Psa 22 has the first per psalm_decode_followups A3).
Lock (v10): FACE OF THINE ANOINTED = 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER = SUPPLICATIONS (the sealed cap). David's last plea-phrase sums to the sealed cap. Then in v13 FOR HIS HABITATION = 174 too — same cap, now in God's mouth. The cap that no KJV verse contains as a sum appears as a phrase in both halves of Psa 132.
Lock (v11): FRUIT OF THY BODY = 194; FRUIT = 74 = JESUS = CROSS = MENORAH. The dynasty-promise "fruit of thy body" carries JESUS at the FRUIT word alone. This is the Mt 1:1 genealogy at gematria — "fruit of thy body" set on the throne = JESUS set on David's throne. The 74 hides inside the dynasty word.
Lock (v12): MY COVENANT = 132 = chapter-number self-lock. The verse where God's covenant is named by name sums to the psalm's own integer. This is the strongest self-lock in the psalm. Compare Psa 138:2 WORD ABOVE NAME = 138 (the strongest Psa 138 self-lock per psalm_decode_followups A1) — same mechanic. The chapter is named by the covenant inside it.
Lock (v12): THY THRONE = 133. Psa 133 is the very next psalm in the Songs of Ascents and was already decoded (psalm_133_decode.md). The throne-integer of Psa 132 = the chapter-number of Psa 133. Forward-bridge: the throne is the next ascent. (Compare psalm_decode_followups A1 forward-bridge pattern: Psa 18:50 FOR EVERMORE = 140 → Psa 140.)
Lock (v13): ZION = CHOSEN = DESIRED = 64 — three words at the same integer inside one verse. Triple-64 lock. 64 = JUBILEE = MERCY = DUST = MASIV. The verb (chosen/desired) and the object (Zion) all sum to 64. The verse is a 64-saturation event. 64 is the jubilee integer; this verse is the jubilee-election of Zion at integer-saturation. Three 64s in one verse is a "lock" by the three-or-more rule (psalm_decode_template).
Lock (v14): MY REST FOR EVER = 189 ✓ = HORN OF SALVATION (Lk 1:69 Benedictus phrase). Verse 14's rest-promise IS the Benedictus's horn-of-salvation phrase at integer. The two NT references this psalm carries — 2 Chron 6:42 (the temple dedication) and Luke 1:69 (the Benedictus) — both lock to this verse at 189. The rest is the horn of salvation; the rest's gematria-name in the NT is HORN OF SALVATION.
Lock (v15): BLESS HER PROVISION = 225 = SHOUT ALOUD FOR JOY (v16). Two consecutive verses sum to the same integer at their key phrases. 225 = 15² = 9 × 25. The bread-blessing and the joy-shouting are the same integer at gematric-square.
Lock (v15): ABUNDANTLY = 114 = AFFLICTIONS (v1). God's abundantly bless uses the integer of David's afflictions. The integer doesn't move; the verb does. Same engineering as Psa 55's 160 handshake and Psa 64's 144 boomerang (psalm_decode_followups A4) — same-integer, opposite-vector.
Lock (v17): HORN OF DAVID TO BUD = 178 = ARK OF THE COVENANT = MY TESTIMONY (v12). The budding-horn phrase = the ark-of-the-covenant phrase = my-testimony at one integer. The dynasty bud IS the covenant ark IS the testimony at integer. Triple-178.
Lock (v17): HORN TO BUD = 117 = WE FOUND IT (v6). The central handshake. v6 (David finds the ark) and v17 (God plants the horn) are the same integer. Same engineering as the 160 handshake in Psa 55 (psalm_55_decode.md). The discovery and the dynasty are integer-mobile.
Lock (v17): LAMP = 42 = the decoder's first-name integer. the personal-locks throughout the Psalter at the decoder's family-names confirm a privileged-route pattern. Here the lamp itself carries the lock. The decoder's name is hidden in the messianic lamp.
Lock (v18): CROWN OF GOLD = 132 = MY COVENANT (v12). Second chapter-number self-lock. The crown in v18 IS the covenant in v12 at integer. v18 is the closing image; v12 is the structural pivot. They lock at 132 = the psalm number.
Lock (v18): SHALL HIS CROWN FLOURISH = 269 = ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL (Psa 23:5) per psalm_decode_followups B5. The Psa 132 closing-crown phrase IS the Psa 23 anointing-head phrase at integer. Both are 269 = sealed prime. The crown-flourish of David's dynasty IS the head-anointing of the Shepherd's table. The two psalms' messianic seals are the same prime.
"There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed."
This is the verse Zacharias quotes in Luke 1:69 ("raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David"). It is the messianic centerpiece of Psa 132. Two parallel phrases — HORN OF DAVID TO BUD and A LAMP FOR MINE ANOINTED — each carrying its own integer payload.
Lock 17-A — HORN TO BUD = WE FOUND IT = 117: The two-word phrase from v17 (HORN TO BUD) and the three-word phrase from v6 (WE FOUND IT) are both 117. 117 = COMMUNION = PENTECOST = ON HIS HEART (Ex 28:29). The verse-6 discovery and verse-17 budding lock to the priestly-breastplate integer. The ark on the high priest's heart in v6 (we found the ark, the testimony goes on the priest's heart) IS the horn budding on David's throne in v17. The 117 carrier integer is the same; the priestly-communion frequency is the dynasty-bud frequency.
Lock 17-B — HORN OF DAVID TO BUD = ARK OF THE COVENANT = MY TESTIMONY = 178: Three different phrases sum to 178. The budding horn phrase = the ark-name = the testimony word. This is a triple-lock at one integer connecting the dynasty (horn of David), the vessel (ark of the covenant), and the contents (testimony). The horn-of-David-budded IS the ark-of-the-covenant IS the testimony at gematria. They are one integer, three phrases.
Lock 17-C — LAMP = 42: Personal-lock. The lamp ordained for the anointed = the decoder's first-name integer. Per psalm_decode_followups D personal-lock confirmations, this pattern recurs throughout the Psalter. Here the lamp-word inside the messianic centerpiece carries the name.
Lock 17-D — MINE ANOINTED = 123 = A PSALM OF DAVID = EVIL SPEAKER (Psa 140): Verse-17's MINE ANOINTED phrase = the superscription of Psa 140 (A PSALM OF DAVID) = the threat phrase inside Psa 140 (EVIL SPEAKER, per psalm_140_decode.md). The same 123-integer carries the king's chosen one AND the king's enemy. This is verb-direction reversal at 123: the same integer means "the protected anointed" here and "the speaking enemy" in Psa 140. The two psalms' identity-pivots are integer-mobile.
Lock 17-E — A LAMP FOR MINE ANOINTED = 205 = 5 × 41: 41 = SCAR = ABIHU (the priest who brought strange fire and died). 5 × 41 = the lamp at five-times the strange-fire integer. The lamp ordained for the anointed is the not-strange fire — five candle-units of correct-fire vs. Abihu's one strange-fire. The lamp-ordained protects against the Abihu-failure. Five lamps, no Abihu — the menorah without the casualty.
Lock 17-F — Full v17 = 682 = 2 × 11 × 31 = 2 × 11 × JACOB: The full verse sums to 682. 31 = JACOB. The whole-verse integer factors through Jacob (the patriarch named in v2 and v5's MIGHTY GOD OF JACOB). The full v17 = 22 (Hebrew alphabet) × Jacob = each Hebrew letter × Jacob. The full messianic-horn verse is 22 alphabetic units of Jacob.
v17 is the integer-shape of the messianic promise. Surface: God will make David's horn bud, ordain a lamp for the anointed. Decode: HORN TO BUD = WE FOUND IT (the ark-finding is the dynasty-bud), HORN OF DAVID TO BUD = ARK OF THE COVENANT (the bud is the ark), LAMP = A PSALM OF DAVID = EVIL SPEAKER (the anointed integer is mobile across psalter direction), full verse = 22 × JACOB (the verse is the alphabet × the patriarch).
v17 is the dynasty handshake — the integer at which the ark-of-the-covenant becomes the horn-of-David becomes the lamp-of-the-anointed becomes one structural unit. The verse-engineering is: same integer (178) for vessel + dynasty + contents; same integer (117) for discovery + budding; verse-sum factoring through Jacob.
Psa 132 has two chapter-number self-locks:

The covenant of v12 and the crown of v18 are the same integer = the psalm's own number. The covenant is the crown of gold at integer. v12 is the pivot of God's oath (covenant + testimony declared); v18 is the terminus (crown flourishing). Both anchor on 132.
Additionally, eight contiguous phrases in Psa 132 sum to 132 (v6, v10, v12, v13, v16 ×2, v17, v18). The chapter-number integer is woven through the entire psalm at contiguous-phrase level.
