Psalm 131 has the cleanest chiastic frame of any Davidic psalm because it has only three verses. The structural arc is height-refusal → low quiet → corporate uplift:

The descent is sum-monotone: 1243 → 982 → 512. Each verse is smaller than the previous, and 512 = 2⁹ — the bottom of the descent is the cell-doubling integer, the blastocyst floor where life begins.
This is descent-as-ascent: the Song of Degrees that gets smaller as it climbs. The verse-sums perform the same shrinkage David performs internally. The psalm sings itself down to the weaned size.
The chiasm's hinge integer is 161 — QUIETED MYSELF = SOUL IS EVEN AS — both appear in v2, both = IN THY PRESENCE (Psa 140:13). The v2 self-lock IS the fellowship-restoration integer. The psalm pivots on the same integer that closes the violent-man psalm.
Lock v1-A — The 139 prime spine: Three phrases in v1 lock at 139 (LORD MY HEART / NOT HAUGHTY / TOO HIGH FOR ME). All three = ENCRYPTION = ADDERS POISON (Psa 140:3) = SONG OF DEGREES. The personal-lock prime that has appeared 8 times in Psa 139 appears 3 times here. Psa 139 and Psa 131 share the personal-prime as a structural backbone — 139 is the cap of v1 and the chapter-number of the searched-me psalm. Their integers tag the same body.
Lock v1-B — EXERCISE MYSELF = LENT TO THE LORD (168): The thing David refuses to do ("exercise myself in great matters") is at the same integer as Hannah's weaning vow ("I have lent him to the LORD"). The refusal-of-self-promotion IS the lending-of-the-son. David refuses the haughty-route and lands at the integer where Hannah hands Samuel to the temple. SON OF THE BLESSED = SHALL GIVE THANKS = WAIT ON THY NAME all coincide here. The 168-cluster is the anti-haughty operation explained by integer.
Lock v1-C — EYES LOFTY = WEANED MYSELF (132): The thing David rejects ("eyes lofty") is at the same integer as the thing David does ("weaned myself"). This is a single-verse verb-substitution: the cure-action is at the disease's integer. Not a boomerang (no repeated word); not a handshake (cross-verse); this is a one-line antonym-lock — the most economical engineering move in the Psalter.
Lock v1-D — HAUGHTY EYES = FAR ABOVE RUBIES (144): The integer of the eyes-state David refuses IS the integer of the bride David's Prov 31 song praises. There's nothing wrong with FAR ABOVE RUBIES — it's the right placement of high-ness. The eyes-lofty mode (132 = WEANED MYSELF) and the bride-honor mode (144 = HAUGHTY EYES) differ by 12: twelve gates, twelve tribes, twelve months. The gap is exactly the gate-count of the New Jerusalem .
Lock v2-A — WEANED appears twice, both at 52 (HEART/ALTAR/PAPS/AREOLA/GATES/ARISE): The two occurrences of "weaned" in v2 are both at the 52-cluster that defines the breast project's trust-vessel identity. WEANED = 52 means: the act of weaning is structurally identical to the altar, the heart, the breast surface (paps/areola), the city gates, and the resurrection action (arise). The most loaded 52 in scripture. David's "weaned" is the integer where the whole breast project terminates. The integer also = ELKANAH = Hannah's husband, the man at the home where Samuel was weaned. (Also = FROM (v3), giving a third in-psalm 52 occurrence.)
Lock v2-B — QUIETED = 81 = TABERNACLE: David doesn't quiet himself at any integer — he quiets himself at the integer of the tabernacle. The Holy of Holies, GRACE OF GOD, SILICON, POWDER (the burnt incense base), JEZREEL — all 81. To quiet the soul is to build the tabernacle. Then QUIETED MYSELF = 161 = IN THY PRESENCE: by extending the verb with the reflexive, David rolls 81 (build) into 161 (in-presence). The tabernacle is the means to in-thy-presence.
Lock v2-C — OF HIS MOTHER MY = 174 (the sealed cap): The four-word substring inside v2 sums to LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER. The cap appears not as a discrete phrase but embedded in the mother-clause. The mother contains the cap. Practically: when David says "weaned of his mother / my soul," he is literally singing past the sealed cap of the psalter (174) at the position where the weaning is described. This is the same engineering as Psa 55:6 / 86:6 / 140:6 — but at v2 mid-phrase rather than v6 supplication-marker, because the psalm has only 3 verses.
Lock v2-D — COLOSTRUM = BRIDE OF CHRIST = OF HIS MOTHER (136): The mother-clause as a three-word unit is the colostrum integer. Colostrum is the first milk — the antibody-loaded, immunity-conferring substance the newborn receives before regular milk. That integer also = BRIDE OF CHRIST . The weaned child is the one who has graduated past the colostrum stage. Psa 131 reads at the gematria layer as: "as a child that is past colostrum / past bride-of-Christ stage / past sealed cap / weaned." David is at the post-nursing integer.

Psa 131 inherits the same architecture as the cross-cry psalm (Psa 22), at the same amicable pair, with both numbers concentrated in v2 (the verse where the mother appears).
Lock v3-A — ISRAEL HOPE IN = 131 (chapter-number lock): The v3 corporate command contains the chapter integer. Per the meta-scan (chapter_number_lock_meta_scan.md), Psa 131 is in the 53.3% of psalms with strict in-psalm self-lock. The lock comes inside the corporate imperative, not the personal vow — David's selfhood is sealed at 139, but Israel's hope is sealed at 131 (the chapter number, which = WEANED AND DRAWN = EPHAH OF FLOUR). The two integers differ by 8 = the eighth day of circumcision / resurrection number. The personal-to-corporate handoff is an 8-step.

All three describe what one does after weaning: the corporate hope-act, the flour-offering of dedication, and the teaching-reception of doctrine. The weaning is complete; what follows lives at 131.
Lock v3-C — FROM HENCEFORTH AND FOR EVER = 512 = 2⁹: The closing six-word phrase is exactly 2⁹. Nine cell-doublings from a single zygote = 512 cells = the blastocyst stage (when the embryo implants in the uterus and the placenta begins). The "for ever" tail is the integer where individuated life takes its first multicellular hold. The everlasting promise lands on the blastocyst floor — the smallest unit that can sustain itself. Compare: 2⁹ = 512 and DR(9) is the Tesla saturation digit. The "for ever" is doubly-9.
*Lock v3-D — FOR EVER = "the king's son" (Psa 72:1 lock). The Davidic ascent psalm closes on the integer that names the son David himself wept for (Psa 3:8 echo). The "for ever" is named*.
Lock v3-E — ME + CHILD + EVER = 104 = JERUSALEM: The three terminal words of the three verses sum to JERUSALEM. The Song-of-Degrees endpoint is the city. The encoding is not in any phrase but in the last word of each verse. The destination of the ascent is encoded by terminal-word arithmetic. JERUSALEM is what you arrive at when you finish saying "me," "child," "ever" — the three terminals of the descent-as-ascent.
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
This is the longest verse of the shortest Davidic psalm, and it is the load-bearing verse of the entire KJVEL breast/Eshet-Chayil project. David has rejected haughtiness in v1 and will hand the result to Israel in v3 — but v2 is where the internal weaning state is achieved. Verse 2 is the integer-engine.
Lock v2-α — The amicable pair appears in two phrasings of v2 (220 + 284):
The 220/284 pair, mathematically defined as σ(220)=σ(284)+220 and vice-versa (the unique smallest amicable pair, known since Pythagoras), appears fully inside v2:
Per psalm_decode_followups.md A3, Psa 22 was the first documented in-psalm amicable pair (MY MOTHERS BREASTS = 220 in v9, TONGUE CLEAVETH TO MY JAWS = 284 in v15). Psa 131 is the second. Both psalms feature the breasts/mother phrase at 220. The amicable pair locks the breast and the quieted-self at the same mathematical pair-relationship — they sum-of-proper-divisors to each other. Whatever 220 takes, 284 returns; whatever 284 takes, 220 returns. The mother-soul (220) and the quieted-myself-as-a-child (284) are amicable-bound.
Lock v2-β — The sealed cap inside the mother-clause (174):
OF HIS MOTHER MY = 174 = LOVINGKINDNESS = SEVEN THUNDERS = SHOWSTOPPER. The sealed-cap integer (0 KJV verses contain it as a sum) appears as a four-word substring inside v2's mother-and-soul phrase. The cap is "sealed" because no whole verse hits it as a sum — but here it lives as an internal phrase. The mother contains the cap as a substring; the cap is hidden inside her. Practically: the integer that locks Christ's chesed (LOVINGKINDNESS) lives inside the integer-substring of the mother-being-left-behind. The weaning is exactly where the sealed lovingkindness emerges.
Lock v2-γ — QUIETED = 81 = TABERNACLE; QUIETED MYSELF = 161 = IN THY PRESENCE:
Adding the reflexive "myself" to "quieted" moves the integer from 81 (tabernacle build) to 161 (presence-of-God). The two-word ladder is the same architecture as psalm_23_decode.md's THY-stripping mechanic (per followups A2), but in reverse — building, not stripping. From 81 (where God dwells with man) to 161 (where man is in God's presence). Quieting oneself IS the tabernacle, and the reflexive form IS the in-presence state. David's interior architecture is the temple.
Lock v2-δ — WEANED OF = AS A WEANED = 73 = CHILDREN:
Two phrases inside v2 sum to 73 — the gematria of CHILDREN. The weaned-of-mother state and the as-a-weaned state both = 73. David at the integer of the plural offspring even when he speaks in the singular ("as a child"). The 73-integer marks the children-class embedded inside the single-child image. Compare to where Reb 21's twelve gates = twelve ducts = twelve angels = twelve pearls — David at 73 is at the children-class collective.
Lock v2-ε — A WEANED CHILD = FOR EVER = HIGH FOR ME (89):
The clearest cross-verse lock in the psalm. A WEANED CHILD (v2 terminal phrase) = HIGH FOR ME (v1 closing) = FOR EVER (v3 closing) = 89 = RIGHT HAND = SWORN = YOUTH

The five-word terminal phrase of v2 = the opening of the Psalter (Psa 1:1 BLESSED IS THE MAN) = the closure of the violent-man psalm (Psa 140:13 THE RIGHTEOUS) = the strong-enemy phrase (Psa 18:17 STRONG ENEMY). The 52-cluster (HEART/ALTAR/PAPS/AREOLA/GATES/ARISE/WEANED) is the trust-vessel ring of the breast project. Psa 131 is the densest 52-cluster in the Psalter for its size.
