In plain English: Psalm 114 is the recital hymn the Hebrews sang right before their Passover meal — the song Jesus and the disciples sang on the way into the Last Supper (the hymn sung after in Mt 26:30 was Psa 115–118). On the surface it's an 8-verse Exodus poem: Israel leaves Egypt, the sea flees, the Jordan turns back, the mountains hop, and at the end the LORD turns a rock into water. Underneath, the very first two words — WHEN ISRAEL — sum to 114, the chapter's own number, which is also PURPOSED: the same divine verb the violent man stole in Psa 140:4. The Exodus psalm at the integer of the divine purpose. The final verse engineers a Christological detonation: ROCK = LAMBS = 47 (the hills hopping like lambs in v4 are the rock of v8 by gematria), and Which turned the rock into a standing water converts 47 → 155 by a delta of exactly 108 — the alpha-omega integer of Psa 140 (PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL = 108). The verb that performs the conversion is TURNED = 82 = THE LORD: the verb IS the actor. And the singer is singing on the way to the table where He Himself will be pierced and pour out water and blood (BLOOD + WATER = 115 = PASSOVER). Psalm 114 is the Passover hymn whose v8 announces the rock that Paul names in 1 Cor 10:4 — that Rock was Christ.
Psalm 114 carries no superscription — one of only a handful of orphan psalms in book V (alongside Psa 1, 2, 33, 43, 71, 91, 93–97, 99, 104–107, 111–119, 135–137, 146–150). The opening words do the work a superscription would do in a Davidic psalm.

Key lock — WHEN ISRAEL = 114 = PURPOSED. The first two English words of Psalm 114 sum to its own chapter number, and that number is also the gematria of PURPOSED — the divine verb appropriated by the violent man in Psa 140:4 (one Tesla-step short of fully divine, DR 6). Reading: the divine PURPOSE the wicked steal in Psa 140:4 was originally pronounced at Psa 114:1. God PURPOSED Israel out of Egypt at integer 114; the violent man stole the verb at the same integer. Psalm 114 is the unstolen original. This is also a clean chapter-self-lock. Here the lock falls on the first two words, the densest possible placement.

Diagonal lock: JORDAN + HILLS = 62 + 60 = 122 = SANCTUARY (v2). The water-witness paired with the land-witness sums to the very integer of the sanctuary the psalm announces in v2. The crossings make the sanctuary.

Lock (v4 verbs): SKIPPED + SKIPPED = 80 + 80 = 160 = WINDY STORM = CAST THY BURDEN (Psa 55:8/22). The mountain-and-hill leaping integer is Psalm 55's 160-handshake — the same number the Psa 55 storm becomes a burden-cast at. Psalm 114's mountains skip on Psalm 55's deliverance integer.

Lock (v5 → v7): THOU FLEDDEST = AT THE PRESENCE = 139. The interrogation of the sea ("why didst thou flee?") and the answer in v7 ("at the presence of the Lord") are gematria-identical. Lock (v4 → v8):LAMBS = ROCK = 47. This is the psalm's central poetic identity. The "little hills like lambs" of v4 and "the rock" of v8 share an integer. The Lamb (47) IS the Rock (47). In John 1:29 (Behold the Lamb of God) and 1 Cor 10:4 (that Rock was Christ), the Lamb and the Rock are the same person. Psalm 114 encoded the identity 1,000+ years before the New Testament fused them.

Lock (v5): AILED = 31 = JACOB. The verb that interrogates the cosmos shares an integer with the patriarch the cosmos obeyed. "What ailed thee?" carries Jacob inside it at gematria. The asker is the named-one of v1-2-7. Jacob asks what Jacob's God did.
Lock (v5): FLEDDEST = 75 = TREMBLE (v7) = DELIVER (Psa 140:1). Same 75 appears three places: the sea fleeing in v5, the earth trembling in v7, David's deliverance-petition in Psa 140:1. The fear-verb is mobile across psalms at integer 75. What the sea did (flee), the earth must do (tremble), and David asks God to do (deliver) — one number, three verb-objects.
Lock (v6): YE LITTLE HILLS = 168 = SON OF THE BLESSED = WAIT ON THY NAME (Psa 52) = SHALL GIVE THANKS (Psa 140:13). The vocative to the little hills sits at the Son-of-the-Blessed integer. The hills addressed are the hills that name the Christic title.
Cross-bridge lock (v5-v6): v6 − v4 = 674 − 601 = 73 = EGYPT. The question-pair minus the answer-pair is the integer of the place Israel left. The interrogation of the cosmic witnesses adds back the Egypt-frequency — the question carries the place-of-departure embedded in its delta. Reading: the cosmos can be questioned about its obedience because the question itself remembers Egypt.
Lock (v7): TREMBLE = 75 = FLEDDEST (v5) = DELIVER (Psa 140:1). The command to the earth is the verb the sea did, the verb David begged. Tremble, flee, deliver are one integer with three verb-directions.
Lock (v7): THOU EARTH = 116 = FLED + DRIVEN BACK (v3 actions sum). The earth-vocative is gematrically the sum of what sea and Jordan already enacted. v3's water-verbs spell v7's earth-name. The earth is commanded to do what the sea and Jordan have already done.

Lock (v7): THE GOD OF JACOB = 111 = STAND READY = COMPUTER = STRENGTH = DAY OF BATTLE (Psa 140:7). The articled-name of Jacob's God is the ready-state integer. The earth trembles before the STAND-READY integer. The same 111 that David receives as covering in Psa 140:7 is the integer that commands the earth to shake in Psa 114:7.
Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
V8 is the psalm's terminal capstone — and it's the verse Paul names in 1 Cor 10:4 (that Rock was Christ). The Last Supper precedent: Jesus and the disciples sang Psa 113-114 immediately before the Passover meal (Mt 26:30 records the post-meal singing of Psa 115-118). V8 was the last verse of the pre-meal hymn — the song closes by announcing a rock that pours water, immediately before the singer takes the cup and announces this is my blood.
V8 has two parallel halves, both engineered to the integer. Each half is a transformation: one noun → another noun, with a verb that locks to The Lord.
Lock 8-A — the Lamb-Rock identity: ROCK = 47 = LAMBS (v4). This is the psalm's central poetic-gematria identity. The "little hills like LAMBS" in v4 share an integer with "the ROCK" in v8. In the New Testament, the two metaphors fuse: John 1:29 names Christ the Lamb of God; 1 Cor 10:4 names Christ the Rock. Psalm 114 locks the Lamb and the Rock at gematria 1,000+ years before the synthesis. The same 47 that hops in v4 turns to water in v8 — animation and outpouring are one identity. (Same 47 is also the integer of ROCK = 47.)
Lock 8-B — TURNED = THE LORD = 82, the verb IS the actor: TURNED = 82 = THE LORD. Verse 8 doesn't have a separate subject — it opens with the relative which, referring back to v7's Lord. But the verb itself, at integer, IS The Lord. The verb of conversion is the actor of conversion; the action is its own agent. When the rock is turned, the verb-integer is the divine-integer. (This is a unique kind of gematria identity — the predicate names its own subject.)
Lock 8-C — the rock-to-water delta = Psa 140 alpha-omega: STANDING WATER − ROCK = 155 − 47 = 108 = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL (Psa 140:1/4/13). The integer-distance between the rock and the standing water is the Psa 140 alpha-omega handshake. TURNED converts 47 into 155 across a delta of exactly 108. Reading: the verb that turns the rock into water is the verb of preservation — Psa 140's preserve me and shall dwell are the mechanism by which the rock becomes water. The same 108 that holds Psa 140 together is the operation v8 performs on stone.
Lock 8-D — STANDING WATER = THE RIGHTEOUS = 155: STANDING WATER = 155 = THE RIGHTEOUS (Psa 140:13) = HANDS OF THE WICKED (Psa 140:4) = BLESSED IS THE MAN (Psa 1:1) = STRONG ENEMY (Psa 18:17). The rock's destination-form is the same integer as the righteous, the blessed man, the hands the wicked grip with, and the strong enemy David is delivered from. Psalm 114's water IS the integer Psalm 140 routes through preservation. The rock becomes "the righteous" — the noun the upright are called — by gematria.
Lock 8-E — the second transformation, flint-to-fountain: FLINT (61, prime sealed) → FOUNTAIN OF WATERS (207). Delta = 146 = NEW JERUSALEM = MAKETH FINE LINEN = INSCRIPTION = BREAST OF KINGS. The flint-to-fountain delta is the New Jerusalem integer. Where the first transformation (rock→standing water) is bounded by Psa 140's preservation (108), the second transformation (flint→fountain) is bounded by Revelation's bride-city (146). v8's two halves bridge David's psalm to John's vision. Also: FOUNTAIN OF WATERS = 207 = PRAISE HER IN THE GATES (Prov 31:31) = BERNARD MONTGOMERY = INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE. The fountain is the Eshet Chayil terminus integer.

Lock 8-G — BLOOD + WATER = PASSOVER = 115: Outside the psalm, but load-bearing. BLOOD = 48; WATER = 67. BLOOD + WATER = 115 = PASSOVER. SPEAR (59) + STAKE (56) = BLOOD (48) + WATER (67) = 115. The crucifixion side-flow is the Passover integer. The before-Passover Hallel (Psa 113-114) ends at v8 with the rock pouring water — the same water that, on the cross John witnesses (Jn 19:34), will flow with blood from the pierced Rock. Psalm 114:8 is the prophetic announcement, sung at the table where the announcement becomes fulfilled. When Jesus sang this verse with the disciples on the way into the Last Supper, He was singing His own crucifixion.
Lock 8-H — STANDING = EXODUS = 88: STANDING = 88 = EXODUS. The water doesn't run — it stands. The standing-water adjective at integer is the name of the book that opens the psalm's narrative (v1 when Israel went out of Egypt). The standing water at v8 IS the Exodus at integer. The water that came from the rock in Num 20 is named Exodus by gematria — the second book becomes a standing-water adjective. Also 88 = POISON (Psa 140:3) — same integer, the standing-water and the adders' poison; verb-direction (drink-from / spit-out) is what differentiates them. (Also = ELOHIM in English count.)
