Tradition: Davidic. Unique two-source composite in the Psalter. Verses 1–5 are lifted from Psa 57:7–11 (the cave-prayer dawn-praise pivot); verses 6–13 are lifted from Psa 60:5–12 (the tribal-allocation conquest psalm). Both sources are already decoded; this is the resolution chapter.

In plain English: Psalm 108 is a re-assembly. David takes the dawn-praise climax of Psalm 57 (the cave) and the tribal-allocation conquest of Psalm 60 (the campaign) and welds them together into one new psalm — and the chapter number is its instruction manual: 108 = PRESERVE = SHALL DWELL. The composite is literally an act of preservation of two earlier psalms, and the gematria layer confirms it: four of the eight Psa-60 verses are carried over byte-for-byte (verse-sum identical), and the deltas where wording is changed turn out to be Tesla-loaded, family-keyed, integer-deliberate. The most striking single finding: Psa 60 staged a half-amicable pair at 220 (THE VALLEY OF SUCCOTH) but never delivered its partner 284. Psa 108 supplies the missing partner — GO FORTH WITH OUR HOSTS = 284, in the one verse that David rewrites most aggressively. The composite closes the amicable pair the original psalm left open. Preserving the two earlier psalms required a new psalm to complete what neither alone could finish.

Key lock — the chapter-number-as-preservation manifest. Psa 60 v3 contains the phrase HARD THINGS = 108. The chapter built from Psa 60 is itself Psalm 108. The "hard things" Psa 60 named in passing become the address of the chapter that re-encodes Psa 60. Psa 108 is a chapter named by Psa 60's third verse. And the chapter's integer (108) is the verb-form of its own existence: PRESERVE / SHALL DWELL. The act of compiling two earlier psalms into a third is the verb the third psalm's number declares.
The dual-mode superscription. Note that Psa 108's superscription is "A Song or Psalm of David" — explicitly hedged: it doesn't claim to be one thing. This matches its dual-source architecture. Psa 57 was a Michtam (engraved) and Psa 60 was a Michtam-to-teach (engraved-pedagogical); Psa 108 has dropped both Michtam markers. The integer signature changed: MICHTAM = 67 is absent; A PSALM = 62 + A SONG = 56 = 118 (or 123 with OF DAVID) replace it. The seal-form gives way to the preservation-form.

44 = JUDAH = LATCH. The composite is exactly Judah's integer lighter than the sum of its sources. David assembled two psalms and the welding cost exactly one Judah. Judah is the chosen-tribe / lawgiver / latch-keeper; the composite is one Judah lighter than its un-composed self. The Latch-tribe IS the seam.
Four verses verbatim (v7, v10, v12, v13) of 8 in the Psa-60 half = 50%. Zero verses verbatim in the Psa-57 half. The cave-half is fully rewritten; the conquest-half preserves its central allocation and frontier-question exactly. Psa 108 preserves the conquest's structure and rewrites the cave's witness.
Lock (v1) — the cross-half handshake. MY HEART IS FIXED O GOD = 207 = JUDAH IS MY LAWGIVER (v8). The cave-pivot phrase of Psa 57 and the tribal-lawgiver phrase of Psa 60 sit at one integer inside Psa 108. This is the load-bearing cross-half lock: the integer that closed Psa 57's pivot is the integer that names Judah's law-giving in Psa 60. The composite reveals: David's fixed heart = Judah's lawgiver = the Eshet Chayil capstone at one number. The cave is the lawgiver-tribe is the Prov 31 terminus.
Lock (v1) — single-heart vs doubled-heart. Psa 57:7 doubled "my heart is fixed" twice (with O GOD between, sealed prime 373). Psa 108:1 removes the doubling. The integer that the doubling generated (373) is gone from the composite. The composite trades the doubled-prime-seal for the +55 (HEAVEN) addition of EVEN WITH MY GLORY. The composite trades sealed-prime for explicit-heaven.
Lock (v2) — the 193 removal. Psa 57:8 had AWAKE UP MY GLORY = 193, which formed the reverse-refrain identity with v5's O GOD ABOVE THE HEAVENS = 193. Psa 108 removes AWAKE UP MY GLORY, eliminating the 193 reverse-refrain. This is the largest single delta in the entire composite (−193). The Psa 57 internal reverse-refrain is structurally retired. Compensation: the EVEN WITH MY GLORY phrase relocates to v1, putting MY GLORY into the fixed-heart verse rather than the dawn verse. Glory migrates from awakening to declaration.

Lock (v3) — the AND PRAISES addition. Psa 108:3 adds "AND" before SING and "PRAISES" after — these two added words sum exactly to 106 = INHERITANCE. The Psa 60:3 family-anchor (HARD THINGS = 108) sits one off; the v3 addition lands one short of the chapter-number. Not a clean self-lock, but a deliberate near-miss.
Lock (v3) — second-half 220 echo. AND I WILL SING PRAISES = 220 (continuous span). The valley-of-Succoth integer appears in the cave-half of the composite — the half-amicable 220 echoes into the praise-half. The amicable pair partner 284 will appear in v11. Praise carries the 220-echo; the conquest-restructure carries the 284-fulfillment.
Lock (v4) — the doubled cap. THY MERCY IS GREAT ABOVE THE HEAVENS = 348 = 2 × 174 = 2 × LOVINGKINDNESS. Psa 57:10 had "GREAT UNTO THE HEAVENS" = 286; Psa 108:4 swaps UNTO→ABOVE and adds REACHETH, producing the exact doubling of the sealed cap of LOVINGKINDNESS. 174 is the sealed cap-frequency (0 KJV verses). Doubling it produces a structural lift: mercy moves from one-cap-tall to two-caps-tall when the composite engages.
Lock (v4) — Psa 22 cross-anchor preserved. UNTO THE CLOUDS = 177 carries through from Psa 57:10. The 177 (Psa 22:16 hands-and-feet crucifixion integer = chest-oracle integer) is one of the inherited Psa 57 anchors that the composite preserves.
Lock (v5) — the 183 cross-half handshake. BE THOU EXALTED O GOD = THE STRONG CITY (v10) = 183. Tesla DR=3. The Psa-57-source refrain-petition and the Psa-60-source strong-city-target sit at the same integer inside Psa 108. This is the composite's second master cross-half lock (after v1/v8 at 207). The cosmic refrain IS the strong city, gematria-confirmed. David asks God to be exalted, and the exaltation IS the entry into Petra at one integer.
Lock (v5) — the inclusio's deliberate unsealing. Psa 57's perfect 664=664 inclusio (v5=v11) is broken by Psa 108:5's −25 delta (LET ... BE → AND). The new sum 639 is Tesla (DR=9), but does not lock to v11's source integer. The composite preserves Psa 57's content while unsealing its inclusio mechanism. Reason: there is no v11 mirror in the composite; Psa 108 ends at v13, not v5+v11. The 664 had to go.
Lock (v6) — the Pentecost upgrade. Psa 60:5 had and hear me — HEAR ME = 50 = JUBILEE YEAR. Psa 108:6 swaps to and answer me — AND ANSWER ME = 117 = PENTECOST. The composite upgrades the petition from Jubilee (release-year, year 50) to Pentecost (firstfruits-feast, day 50, also called HARVEST in Hebrew). Same numeric value at the surface (50/50), but the verb shift changes the festival: from passive release (HEAR ME = "let me out") to active firstfruits (ANSWER ME = "send forth"). The composite is a Pentecost-version of a Jubilee-original. Calendar-precise integer-shift.

Lock (v7) — verbatim preservation = PRESERVE = 108 enacted. The act of leaving v7 unchanged is the chapter number's verb. PRESERVE = 108 = chapter integer. The most prophetic verse of Psa 60 (the allocation) is the one verse the composite refuses to touch. Allocation IS preservation at the composition level.
AND removed −19)Lock (v8) — the dropped AND is JUDAH. Psa 108:8 removes exactly one AND (=19) from Psa 60:7. And the total composition delta is −44 = JUDAH. The single-AND removal is one of the smallest deltas, but it sits in the verse that names Judah twice (JUDAH IS MY LAWGIVER). The composite quietly tightens around its named tribe.
Lock (v8) — 207 cross-half master. JUDAH IS MY LAWGIVER (Psa 60 source) = MY HEART IS FIXED O GOD (Psa 57 source) = 207. The composite executes this identity by putting both phrases in the same psalm. Psa 60 alone had the lawgiver→Prov 31 lock; Psa 57 alone had the fixed-heart→Prov 31 lock; Psa 108 puts both Prov 31 routes in one psalm, making the two source-psalms gematria-twins through the 207 channel.
PHILISTIA TRIUMPH THOU BECAUSE OF ME = 367 prime sealedLock (v9) — the prime-to-Tesla reword. Psa 60:8 ended with Philistia, triumph thou because of me = 367 (sealed prime). Psa 108:9 reworks to over Philistia will I triumph = 333 (Tesla DR=9, the sacred triple). The composite trades a sealed prime for a Tesla triple at the same conquest-claim. Verb direction also reversed: Psa 60 commands Philistia to triumph; Psa 108 says David himself will triumph over her. Active verb, Tesla resolution. The conquest claim is integer-reset.

Lock (v10) — Petra=60 inherited. Psa 108 inherits the chapter-number lock that named Psa 60. Psa 108 contains Psa 60's chapter-lock at v10 even though Psa 108's own chapter-integer is different. The verse-sum 648 = 8 × TABERNACLE preserves the eight-tabernacles question-density from Psa 60. The verbatim preservation = the chapter-lock-of-the-source-psalm IS preserved into the new psalm.
Lock (v10) — cross-half handshake at 183. THE STRONG CITY = BE THOU EXALTED O GOD (v5) = 183. The Psa-60-source target and the Psa-57-source refrain-petition share integer 183. The exaltation IS the strong-city entry, gematria-equivalent. This identity becomes load-bearing only in the composite — neither source psalm alone makes it visible.
WHICH HADST CAST US OFF = 162; Psa 108 swap raises by +42)Lock (v11-A) — the amicable pair completed. This is the most consequential single finding of the entire decode. Psa 60 carries THE VALLEY OF SUCCOTH = 220, half of the amicable pair 220/284, but never delivers 284. Psa 108 v11 inserts the new phrase GO FORTH WITH OUR HOSTS whose gematria is exactly 284. The composite completes the amicable pair.
amicable pairs (where each number = sum of the other's proper divisors) are extremely rare; 220 and 284 are the smallest such pair (discovered by Pythagoras, associated with friendship and covenant). Per psalm_decode_followups A3: Psa 22 has both 220 and 284 inside one psalm — the first documented complete-amicable-in-one-text case. Psa 108 is now the second documented case — and the only one engineered by composite-assembly.
Why this matters: amicable-pair completion = covenant-fellowship at integer level. Psa 60 alone could not deliver it (the source verse went didst not go out with our armies = different integer). The composite's rewording at v11 (going from armies → hosts, and from didst not → go forth) is not random — it is the integer-engineering required to drop 284 onto the page. The reword that the composite needed most is the reword that completes covenant-fellowship.
Lock (v11-B) — triple-135 closes. OUR HOSTS = 135. With MY LAWGIVER (v8) = 135 and DO VALIANTLY (v13) = 135, Psa 108 carries a triple-135 lock that Psa 60 also had (SCATTERED US v1 / MY LAWGIVER v7 / DO VALIANTLY v12). The composite preserves the judgment-cycle triple but rotates the first member: Psa 60 opened the 135 with SCATTERED US (passive); Psa 108 substitutes OUR HOSTS (active). The composite turns the disciplinary 135 from scattering to host-marching.
Lock (v11-C) — HOSTS = 81 = TABERNACLE. HOSTS alone = 81 = TABERNACLE = SILICON = GRACE OF GOD. The hosts that go forth are tabernacles marching. The reword from armies (=65) to hosts (=81) is a tabernacle-substitution at integer.

Lock (v12–v13) — the verbatim closing is non-negotiable. Psa 108 leaves the diagnosis (vain is the help of man) and the resolution (through God we shall do valiantly) byte-for-byte untouched. The composite changes the petitions and the taunts, but it does not touch the diagnosis or the resolution. Self-help is vain; God's help is victory — these two integers (505, 776) are not rewordable. The composite respects them as terminal.
222 and Psa 60:12 had THROUGH GOD WE SHALL DO

Of the eight verses in the Psa-60 half of Psa 108, four are verbatim and four are reworded. Of the four reworded verses, only one (v11) introduces a phrase whose gematria is not just Tesla-loaded but structurally load-bearing across the entire decoded KJVEL corpus. That phrase is GO FORTH WITH OUR HOSTS = 284. It is the amicable-pair partner of v7's THE VALLEY OF SUCCOTH = 220. The composite was engineered to produce it.
Lock 11-A — GO FORTH WITH OUR HOSTS = 284 = amicable partner. The central finding of the composite. the 220/284 amicable pair is the smallest such pair, discovered by Pythagoras, mathematically associated with friendship and covenant. In the KJV the pair appears 8 confirmed times (Asher block, Issachar block, TJFD pattern, Psa 22 internal pair). Psa 108 v11 ↔ v7 is the first cross-half engineered occurrence inside a composite. Psa 60 alone had only 220 (half-amicable). The composite welds the partner in.
Lock 11-B — HOSTS = 81 = TABERNACLE. The substitution armies (65) → hosts (81) is also an integer-substitution from REUBEN/BROKEN to TABERNACLE/SILICON/GRACE-OF-GOD. The composite turns military reinforcement into tabernacle-marching. Where armies were, tabernacles now go forth.
Lock 11-C — three HOLYs in the verse. WILT (60) + WILT (60) + WITH (60) = three HOLY integers in one verse, each = PETRA = 60 = HOLY. The verse names HOLY three times implicitly through its trifecta of small words at gematria 60. Psa 108:11 carries the Psa 60 chapter-integer thrice without naming the source chapter. The seam-verse is a triple-HOLY beacon back to the source psalm's chapter-number.
Lock 11-D — triple-135 closed. OUR HOSTS = 135 sits as the middle member of the triple-135 lock (MY LAWGIVER v8, OUR HOSTS v11, DO VALIANTLY v13). 135 = ARTAXERXES = WALL STREET = TRUMP OF GOD = BURNING COALS = DOEG THE EDOMITE = LIFT UP THE HEAD = judgment-cycle. Lock 11-F — verse-sum 943 = 23 × 41 = CALEB × O GOD. The full v11 sum factors as Caleb (23 = the only spy who entered Canaan with Joshua) times O GOD (41 = the divine vocative). The composition seam is mathematically Caleb-times-O-God. The faithful spy who survived 38 years of wilderness is the prime divisor of the only verse the composite invented from scratch.
