The method is the same as the Proverbs 31 decode: gematria, digital roots, Tesla 3-6-9 hits, and identity-locks. What we found is that the chapter is the refining-furnace catalog — v3 says "the fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts," establishing the chapter's principle that the LORD's testing operates on gold-and-silver gematria. The disciple under refining is being put through the same gematria the chapter-31 woman is praised for.

The merry heart's medicinal effect, the love of instruction, the strange-woman's promise, the deceitful-witness's lies, the spoil-dividing of pride, and the dart through the liver are all at four-fold tabernacle-frequency. Same magnitude, six substrates. The chapter is publishing: 324 is direction-neutral medicine — substrate determines whether it heals or wounds.

FATHER OF A FOOL HATH NO JOY = 244 = HOUSE OF THE RIGHTEOUS (Pr 15:6). A grim mirror: the joyless father of a fool and the house of the righteous share gematria 244. Why? Because both are containers of one's life. The father is the container of the fool; the house contains the righteous. Same containment-gematria. What it contains determines whether the 244 is joy or joylessness.
Proverbs 17 is the refining-furnace catalog. Three lessons:
The chapter's eight fool-references are the densest in the book. The chapter is teaching the disciple to recognize the fool as the un-refined substrate. The fining pot refines silver; the furnace refines gold; the LORD refines hearts. Each at a specific gematria. The fool is the substrate that has not been refined. Chapter 17 publishes the refining-protocol gematria.
