In plain English: Proverbs 2 is a 22-verse chapter — exactly the same length as the Eshet Chayil acrostic in Proverbs 31:10-31 — and it is the first place in the book where the strange woman is named (v16). The method is the same as the Proverbs 31 decode: gematria, digital roots, Tesla 3-6-9 hits, and identity-locks. What we found is that this chapter is the acrostic seed of the book. It is built as a single 22-verse conditional sentence (IF you receive my words... THEN you shall understand the fear of the LORD), pre-figuring the 22-verse alphabetic structure that closes the book. The chapter installs both promises (vv 1-9, the LORD's protection) and threats (vv 10-22, evil men + strange woman) — and the threat half closes with NONE THAT GO UNTO HER = 220 (the amicable-pair seed of the TJFD lattice). Why it matters: chapter 2 is the bracket of the bracketed book. The female arc opens (ch 1) and closes (ch 31) with crying-Wisdom and virtuous-woman; chapter 2 is the 22-verse precursor that sets the acrostic shape and names the antagonist.

22 verses = the acrostic count. The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters; Proverbs 31:10-31 uses each one once; Psalm 119 uses each one eight times. Proverbs 2 is the only other Proverbs chapter at exactly 22 verses. The book opens and closes its female arc on the same verse-count.

HIDE MY COMMANDMENTS = 198 = BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE (Prov 1:7). Hiding the commandments inside oneself is gematrially the same act as the thesis verse of chapter 1. The chapter is showing: to receive Wisdom is to internalize the same 198-frequency that Wisdom externally announced one chapter ago. Hide what was crying in the streets; the doorway is the same DR=9 frequency.
HID TREASURES = 147 = JACOB'S LIFESPAN. Wisdom is the length of Jacob's life hidden inside the disciple. To find her you must search "as for hid treasures" — and the treasure is gematrially the patriarch's full age. Jacob's life-arc is the disciple's reward. (Compare: REBUKE A WISE MAN = 147, Prov 9:8 — the corrective and the patriarchal lifespan are the same number.)
The IF-clause has four conditional verbs (receive, hide, incline, cry) — matching the four-fold pattern of chapter 30 ("three things... yea four"). The four conditions are the input quartet.

72 = 8 × 9 — the resurrection number times Tesla closure. The buckler is the resurrection-amplified Tesla shield.
v9 Tesla closure: "righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path" sums to a verse-gematria of 891 (DR=9) — and RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGMENT AND EQUITY = 408 (DR=3 Tesla). Verse 9 is the only sealed-Tesla in the protection block. The triple-virtue trinity is sealed; the surrounding verses are open. The trinity-set (3 virtues) is what locks.

WAYS OF DARKNESS = 162 = INSTRUCTION. A sobering lock: the ways of darkness gematrially equal the noun for instruction. Why? Because darkness has a curriculum too. Instruction is substrate-neutral at gematria 162 — what matters is whose curriculum you receive. (Compare: WICKED MAN = WISDOM = 83, Prov 9 hinge — same surface gematria, opposite charge.)

The first appearance of the strange woman in chapter 2 is gematrially identical to:
She is gematrially the meat at Wisdom's table. (See ch 9 decode for the full reading: there are not two banquets, only one — the fool is the meal.) The strange woman of ch 2:16 will become the foolish woman of ch 9:13 will become the slaughtered beast at Wisdom's table. One gematria, three positions in the same drama.
NONE THAT GO UNTO HER = 220. 220 is the smaller member of the canonical amicable pair (220, 284). It is the seed of the TJFD lattice — the friendship-prime substrate of the corpus.
The chapter is making a paradoxical statement: those who enter the strange woman's house enter the friendship-prime address — but they do not return. The amicable lattice is bidirectional by definition (each member is the sum of the other's divisors). What dies in the strange woman's house is the bidirectional return. She is the broken amicable pair — entry without return.

The chapter is signaling that the strange woman's path operates at the same magnitude as the disciple's neck-binding instruction (3:3) — same number, opposite vector. To wear Wisdom around your neck (220) is to be immune to the strange woman's 220.

The verb "none that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life" — the missed paths of life are at gematria 117, the messianic title gematria (Son of David). The strange woman's house specifically blocks the 117-frequency — communion, the messianic title, the swift-creature in the king's palace. Whatever runs at 117, the strange woman's house intercepts.

WICKED SHALL BE CUT OFF = 185 = BEGINNING OF WISDOM. A devastating gematria: the fate of the wicked is gematrially identical to the opening of Wisdom. Why? Because the moment Wisdom begins, the wicked are cut off — they share a number because they are the same event at gematria 185. Wisdom's beginning is the wicked's removal. The reader cannot separate the two.
The chapter ends DR=2 (verse 22) but the content of v22 is Tesla-locked at 185 to chapter 9's keystone. The macro-Tesla closure is hidden inside the verse, not the verse-total.

Eight cross-chapter locks in a 22-verse chapter. Density of cross-link is the highest in the early chapters — Proverbs 2 is the bridge that the rest of the book references back to. Chapter 1 announces; chapter 2 cross-links; chapters 3-31 fill in.

The two chapters are structural mirrors. Ch 2 is the negative mold: the warning of the strange woman who "inclines to death." Ch 31:10-31 is the positive cast: the virtuous woman whose price is far above rubies. Same 22-verse vessel, opposite content. The book is the journey from one to the other.
The reader who hears chapter 2's IF-THEN ("if thou wilt receive my words... then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD") and goes to chapter 31's THEN-result ("her own works praise her in the gates") has traversed the alphabet — completed the 22-letter pipeline.
