The identity FIRSTBORN = FORGETTING = 121. Joseph names the firstborn the word whose gematria equals "firstborn." The status Manasseh holds by birth (firstborn) is the status he loses by meaning (forgetter). The gematria performs the whole drama of Gen 48 in one number: firstborn=forgetting → the firstborn-status dissolves into its own meaning → Ephraim inherits the birthright.
121 factors as 11². Eleven is the disorder-before-twelve, the incompleteness one-step-short of the tribal whole. The firstborn's number is the square of incompleteness. This is exactly why the blessing had to pass to Ephraim (70 = complete 7 × 10) — the tribe had to migrate from 11² to 70 to reach functional completion.

Three identities collide at 38: GILEAD (the region), NOAH (the daughter of Zelophehad), and JAIR (the Manassite judge of Judges 10). This is not coincidence — it is a family algebra. Gilead is the land, Noah is one of the daughters who inherit the land, Jair is the judge who rules the land. All three Manassite entities collapse to 38. The king's sin "made Judah to sin" (2 Ki 21:16). He built altars to Baal, set a graven image in the temple, passed his son through fire, shed innocent blood. He re-activated the tribe's forgetting on Judah's national scale — the tribal trauma rerun as royal policy. Psalm 80:2 literally names Manasseh — alongside Ephraim and Benjamin, the three sons of Rachel's line. This is one of a tiny handful of Psalms that name a tribe directly in the opening verses. The tribe whose gematria is 80 is named in Psalm 80. The gematria → psalm-pointer mapping is self-verifying: the pointer points to a psalm that names the tribe.
Moreover, Psalm 80 is the Rachel-sons psalm — Ephraim, Benjamin, Manasseh are all Rachel's blood (her sons and grandsons). The psalm calls on God to shine forth before the three Rachel-tribes. SHINE FORTH = 122 = product-9.
"Leadest Joseph like a flock" — the whole psalm is addressed to the Joseph collective. Manasseh's gematria opens a psalm about Joseph's three grandsons crying for deliverance. The forgetting-tribe's number is the cry-for-help frequency.
The psalm's refrain (v3, v7, v19): "Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine upon us; and we shall be saved." Three refrains — for the three Rachel-tribes. Tribal count = refrain count. The psalm's structure is Manasseh-shaped.
Manasseh is the KJV's forgetter who spans the river. Its identity equations:
If Judah is the king's voice, Levi is the priest's hand, Issachar is Israel's clock, and Ephraim is the double-portion, Manasseh is the bridge — the tribe that exists on both sides of the river, both sides of the hand, both sides of remembering. The tribe whose name is "forgetting" is the tribe the gematria most rigorously remembers through non-English ciphers (5/9 Tesla), through family identities (HOGLAH 9/9, GAMALIEL 7/9, HEPHER 8/9), and through its psalm (80 directly names it).
Manasseh teaches that forgetting is not loss — it is the condition for new beginning. The firstborn who loses primacy produces the Transjordan judges, the Inheritance-law daughters, the longest-reigning repentant king, and the Revelation 12th-seal replacement. The tribe that loses its place keeps showing up across every crisis of Israel — because the tribe that forgets its toil is the only tribe free to make new ground.
